scan news

Post by JULES K »

Hi Girlies,

well had my 20 week scan on Monday and all is well. The sonographer was really good and pointed everything out to us, we saw the bowel and kidneys and even though the major blood vessells going in and out of the heart! the baby was being really awkward though and kept wriggling about every time she tried to measure anything!!

We asked the sex and guess what...............its a boy! We were quite surprised as Gerard and I had convinced ourselves we were having a girl but there was no mistaking the ultrasound, the sonographer said he had three legs!! (Gerard says he takes after his dad in that department!) We have decided to name him "Daniel George"

We were both so relieved that all was well and walked around for the rest of the day with huge grins on our faces. I went shopping yesterday and bought little blue things as well. The consultant has gone back to my original due date now of 20 August so I am only officially 19wks and 5 days.

Lots of love to everyone

Julie, that's great news and the last of the major milestone scans too i think (i hope so anyway!). the 20 wk scan is fantastic, don't you think, being able to see baby so clearly and knowing it's all going well.

daniel george is a lovely name.

tracey, helen will be thinking of you two on thursday and really looking forward to hearing your updates.

best wishes

Fantastic - I am thrilled as you can imagine!!! Mine tomorrow - had a feeling it might be a boy for you - aren't daddies funny when it comes to size of equipment!! and what a lovely name.

Happy shopping - I will post tomorrow - yikes but midwife just been round and I measure 26cm-27cm easily she said - without lunch I hasten to add  She eventually got two hearbeats but quieter than before as they are both back to me - one breach and the other normal so she had to listen through their backbone!!!! And the little sods were doing somersaults - you could hear them.

Take care
Love

Hi Julie

Glad to hear your scan went great. I am glad to know that alot of us are asking the sex. It is exciting to see all the bits on the screen it makes you realise it is a little person.
