I'm 39 and have gone through 4 miscarriaqes and 2 IVF cycles (negative results). We can't start another cycle until next year when I transfer over to my husband's insurance. We depleted mine for IVF already. I'm just wondering if we should try to conceive naturally to see what happens. I am reluctant to waste more time waiting for next year. I don't stim well and only ended up with 3 embryos with one good enough to transfer. My follow-up meeting with the doctor isn't until October. I think the problems are being caused by irregular numbers of chromosomes sets in our embryos.
Would you ever go back to trying naturally given your history?
If you have to wait, might as well try naturally. What can it hurt? It is just a little hassle to make sure you do it at the right time. This way you still feel like you are doing something and maybe time will go by faster. I have a 3 month break before my next IVF, I am trying naturally. Not getting my hopes up but sometimes miracles do happen.

My best friend has had 4 natural miscarriages all tests showed clear, doc said to keep trying as one will eventually stay (not very tasteful way to put it) and now she is 15 weeks pregnant - when she found out she was pregnant again she was put on progesterone suppositories - crinone and baby aspirin and will be on those till full term so far so good. If you feel you can cope then i say why not your little miracle is out there somewhere xxxxx
