I am absolutely enraged - S/hampton strike again. They will not let me make a day19 appointment because the infectious screening tests are not on file. Even though they know they are done and the results should be back in about 10 days time. We asked them separately about 3 times was the timing all OK and they said it was, but now the bastards are changing the rules. I am in work and so close to tears it is incredible.
karen, i don't know what to say except they seem a bl..dy nightmare. sorry, i know that doesn't help.
what are the implications; does that mean you have to wait 10 days or so before you can make the appointment, where does that leave you with your day 19 appointment? it sounds as though your dealing with a jobs worth... is there anyone there you could escalate to or appeal to their better nature. what about your consultant or maybe even ask your gp to get involved for you.
it is so frustrating trying to get thru red tape and particularly in our circumstances when so much of our lives seem to be dictated by timing.
I am a little calmer now so prehaps I will be able to explain it better. They won't make a day 19 appointment this month we will have to wait another month. It is enraging because we ask them so often would our blood dates effect any timings. The consultant did phone but he just said rules are rules - great bloody help.
I wasn't very happy with S/hampton the last time and we considered changing but our next nearest clinic is about 1.5 hours away. But at the minute that seems a small price to pay. So to that end does anyone know anything about the clinic in Oxford?
that makes me so mad, i'm not surprised you were fuming.
i don't know the oxford clinic but i wouldn't blame you if you consider changing clinics. i went to the lister in london and the essex fertility clinic. let me know if i can be of any help.
