Wow, lots of posts since I last came on. I just got back from my ET not too long ago. Here's my update:

Embies were fine. In fact, better than fine. We had 4 excellent and one good. Two were put back in. I got to see pictures of them, and honestly they look just like the "excellent" ones I've seen online. All 8 cells, so hopefully the other 3 will freeze well.

They tell you to fill your bladder before the transfer so I really had to pee the whole time. But the transfer was really nothing, like a pap. And then I laid there fighting my bladder for a good 40 mins.

Strict bedrest for 3 days, no sex before beta, and no lifting heavy objects. I don't understand why bedrest for 3 days when even the doctor told me it doesn't matter. I mean, I had to get off the table today, and walk to the car, and sit through a bumpy ride home. I can pee, and poop, and shower. I don't see why I can't drive myself to school and sit through a couple of meetings. I am probably going to go anyway.

So now we just wait. DH has started kissing my tummy. He is really excited and happy. I am trying not to get my hopes up too high. Even though IVF has the highest pregnancy rates of all the infertility treatments, it is still only 60%. One step at a time. What a long road we've all taken huh?

No more pain, just still tender. I'm thinking a lot of the pain could have been gas, but how could gas be soooo damn painful??? Still pretty bloated though. I'm afraid people will see me and start asking if I'm pregnant. Or put on a bunch of weight, after I finally managed to lose some this summer. I went on the treadmill yesterday for 45 mins (just walking), in anticipation of a few days of no activity. I think I'm going to go stir-crazy.

And it's pretty tough keeping this all under wraps. Not going in on the very first teachers' day back will cause some questions for sure. But... one step at a time... at least it's not students' first day. =)

Sounds like everyone else here is doing well. As for the PIO shots, I agree it doesn't hurt much going in (even though needle is scary), but how do you get your butt not to feel like you fell on it hard the next day? I tried warming up the oil last night and massaging after the shot, and so far it seems to not hurt as much, though the pain of the previous shots on that cheek are still hurting so it's hard to tell. I'm doing the shots myself too. Just easier that way, and I can control what's going on. I sit on the bathroom counter a little bit, so that my cheek gets "pinched" and go slow with the needle. I shouldn't have been freaking out.

dtao: you're officially in the 2ww! so exciting. i praying that your embies stick! your DH is so sweet. it's so hard to get them to show emotion, but when they do, it's so worth it. when is your beta?

most of my pain was gas too! isn't that crazy how painful gas can be. i am still very bloated as well. i was thinking the same thing, people are going to think i'm pregnant b/c i definitely look it. hopefully, if someone has the audacity to ask, i'll be able to say yes. to get my PIO shots not to hurt, i warm the oil, massage and use a hot pack. so far, i've had no pain the next day. i also put the needle in very fast and put the PIO in very slow.

Hey girls, I don't post as often since nothing is going on with me. Still one more week of bcp but I do read your post all the time and I'm glad there is so many of us supporting each other.
dtao- so glad your transfer went well. So cool you got to see pictures. That's your baby's first pic. Take the time off to pamper yourself and relax, soon you will get a bfp.
You girls are so brave to do the shot by yourself. I haven't gotten my medication yet, but from the video that needes looks huge.

My house has been in disarray. So I've been blowing up at DH for not picking up the slack and doing what I can't. He's also been coincidentally really swamped at work these few days, but was forced to take time off for me. Not fair, but I guess he'll just have to suck it up seeing as how he's not jabbing his stomach or butt with giant needles every day or carrying a child for 9 months. I really think if men had to do all this they would just fall over dead.

My first beta is 9/2, and second on 9/4. Some of you may remember I have Vegas that Labor Day weekend, so I'll either be ecstatic or drinking. Should I test myself? If I do, when should I test? How nerve wracking that's going to be!

But the doctor says miscarried embryos are most likely a sign that something was wrong chromosomally. So it's not really a bad thing. Trying to keep that in mind.

Edit: beta 9/1 and 9/3

Hello Ladies,
I hope all is well with everyone. I suppose I needed to join this thread now. Some of you might remember me from the June\July and August\Sept threads.

I'm sorry I don't have too many personals but I am thinking and praying for the best for all of us!

Michelle - I am soooo happy for you. YAY for below 50! Good luck on your FET. Can't wait to see party pics.

AFM, I started stims on Saturday. I go in tomorrow after 4 days of stims to see how things are going. I'm feeling pretty indifferent right now. My first cycle was canceled in July due to poor response and a low E2. I'm now on a micro flare protocol. I hope that I respond better this round, but I guess I'm trying to prepare myself for the worst. I'm trying to take it one day at a time. I'm really trying not to be negative but realistic. I am cautiously optimistic. I guess once I hear some good news then I'll get with it. I will keep you all posted.

Sending you all loads of PMA, baby dust, grow follie grow dance, AF dance and anything else you might need right now. I pray that we all get our turn soon.

Sorry guys - I haven't been getting my notices. B/w and baseline Uu/s was today, I was 3 opaque, whatever that ment.

I've stopped researching everything they say cause my brain can't hold anymore information. I don't know whats going to happen when we all get pregnant and all of a sudden have no idea what we are doing. Anyway,

I'm still on 10 units of Lupron and I started estrace - 4 mg 3 times a day. I go back Wed. for b/w, So far so good I guess.

I also started watching a 10 week old, my friend's son. Now that she has gone back to work and I work from home. I now have a living room full of baby stuff, a little bizzar since we don't have any kids.

Sorry to those whose ET was so painful, this is why I never did a fresh implantation, I was so sore.

Good Luck all!

Malya - Good to hear from you! Don't blame you on the not researching anything. It drove me crazy last time. This time I would love to sit back and relax and let the embies do their thing without me having to worry about them all the time! But I guess that's the way you get ready for motherhood! Sounds like you are already practicing! :)

Johannanita
- Great to have you join us! I'm with you on the cautiously optimistic part, but please don't get yourself down in the dumps. We will all get through this and I am praying for BFPs for everyone!

Jaydentd - Thanks for touching base with us. Only one more week! You may have already told us, but what meds will you be on this time?

Dtao - That is great news about the embies! I'm so happy for you!!! Lots of sticky dust being sent your way!!!!! I POAS the first 2 times, but I'm not sure if I will this time. It all depends on what DH wants me to do. For our FET, at first he said just wait, but as the time got closer he caved in! LOL! It was so funny because he is so strong willed! Sorry about your DH situation. He's probably so nervous he doesn't know what to do. Just be patient with him and he will come around. Remember, he loves you enough to go thru this with you. My thing is making lists (obviously). Try doing that and see if he picks up a little. Sometimes I get aggravated that DH doesn't do what I think should be done, but I just step back and chill out and remember, I couldn't have come this far without him. Can't wait until 9/1! You and Mjay will be our first BFPs!!!!!!

J&C - if DH is giving you the shots.... better watch out! LOL!

Mjay - One of your many "big days" starts tomorrow! I'm so excited for you! It makes me want time to fly so I can get mine done! Just keep thinking: TWINS! WOW! It can happen and WILL happen! How cool would that be???!!! :D

Cheryl - how'd the trigger go??? What time do you go in for ER tomorrow and what time zone are you in? I will be sending lots of prayers your way @ that time! WooHoo!!!

Rose - have you started Lupron yet? Would love to hear from you.

Neffi - I'm going to have some awesome looking legs from all this AF dancing if you don't start soon! Whew!

Sangria, Cheekyone, & Sharishu - Everything going well with ya'll?

AFM - DH and the boys went on a canoeing trip this past weekend. He had to borrow his brother's canoe and had so much fun we went and bought one yesterday. Now I can go! YAY! I love camping and the outdoors. The weather where I live has been so great lately that I have been opening the windows! It feels like Spring again! Well, kids are off to school and DH is still in bed so I think I will crawl back in and take a snooze. Have a good day everyone!

Michelle so glad things were fantastic for ellas b.day party can't wait to see the pictures and thats wonderful news on your e2 :D

I will do more personals as i learn and get to know all your stories and its great to see heaps of pma as it definately helps so much :D

AFM wow i'm little overwhelmed at the moment because i'm doing a fet wasn't sure if it will be in sept or oct. I have changed clinics cause i thought 4 bfn warranted a change of protocols or something. Last week i had a scan at my new clinic and lining was 4mm and i went for another scan today and my lining is 10 mm and my right and left ovary have a good size follie measuring round 15 mm. So it looks all set for a fet. I've been given the trigger shot to take and just have to do bw everyday to see when i surge. So wow so soon after my fresh cycle i'm doing fet like wow is all i can say. I think the word is strike while the irons hot hehe :D

Keep up the faith ladies and i'm pushing and praying for BFP all the way to everyone :D

Morning ladies!

How wonderful that we have such a big group! So nice to be surrounded with everyone going through the same thing at the same time.

With so many, it's hard to keep up with personals but I just want to extend a pray to each and everyone of you that the Lord blesses your cycle with a little miracle!

I took my HCG trigger last night at 8:30 p.m. (feels just like the PIO because it goes into the hip).

My retrieval is 7:45 a.m. (cst) tomorrow. I'm so scared...so much anxiety that I'm going to wake up in pain as I did in the previous retrievals. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts...

I'm praying that all 10 follies are retrievable and grow well. We are doing ICSI, so hopefully that helps.

Anyone doing assisted hatching? Thoughts on it? I don't think my clinic does, but I read another message board about it and didn't know if it helped.

Happy Tuesday!

Cherly- i'm right behind you, should be doing trigger tonight, if not tomorrow- my dr does assitive hatching for most 3 day transfer, i dont really know much about it- but if they say its good i'll trust them. Luckily insurance is covering it all. As of now I have 38 follicles, but about 15 are big enough for retreival, we are also doing ICSI. Good luck!

I had ICSI and assisted hatching. Seems to be routine at my clinic. Insurance paid for none of it, but I figured that if I'm going to spend all that time and money getting eggs out, might as well do all I can to make sure they're viable. And it worked for me! 7 retrieved, 5 fertilized, 2 immature. And then I ended up with 5 beautiful embryos (I have pictures to prove it!).

I'm also continuing to lose the bloat. Last night I got up to pee 3 times! And this morning I had lost another couple of lbs. I complained to the doctor about not fitting in my clothes, and he said it will be a while.

And I'm so sick of being in bed. It's really, really boring...

Oh geez, I need to really start posting more often. I am on and read all the time but often I just feel too tired to write in the evening when home from work. I feel guilty posting from work but I think I may need to start doing that! Now I feel like I am so far behind and it wil lbe impossible to keep up with all the personals! So, I promise that I will be better from now on! :D

I am thrilled that we have our first friend in the 2WW DTAO! Soon many more in the 2WW and then we'll start filling up our BFP list!!! :P

I am sending lots and lots of sticky vibes for dtao and for the transfers coming up! I can't wait to see how many babies this board will have!

AFM, not much new. The first couple weeks back at work are super busy but also not busy....if that makes sense. I feel like I've done a ton but haven't done anything in the course of a day. I keep telling myself that this time next year I will be out on maternity leave! The lupron is going well, can't complain and I begin my asprin and patches this week (I think tomorrow). I go for my lining check on the 1st and then I guess I just wait until the 12th for the transfer. I have put off fertility massage or acupuncture this cycle but now I'm wishing I had kept going. I think I'm going to call to see if I can get a couple rounds in before the 12th. Do you think it's worth it still? Will a couple sessions help?

Sending you all happy, positive, thoughts!
