How long progesterone?

Hi Ladies!

For those of you who went through In-Vitro, how long did you stay on Progesterone Supposotories? I am 13.5 weeks, and weening off of them. I feel pretty crampy. Did this happen to you?

I guess it all depends. I decided to stick with the Progest shots this time since I did them last time. My last shot will be this coming Saturday at which time I will be 10w. They are not reducing my dosage they just told me to stop taking them on Saturday. That was a little concerning but I am just following the doctors orders.

I finished my progesterone last night. I am 8 1/2wks and have been told to just stop. Was a bit worried but there advice has worked so far.

I will be 12 weeks on Wednesday, and I am still on the PIO shots. Even though my RE has released me to my regular OB, he is still having my progesterone checked weekly, and is slowly weaning me from the shots. I'm sure part of it is due to my history, but the other part is that they prefer to wean you slowly so that you do not have an abrupt reaction. With my first pregnancy, I was told to stop the progesterone supplementation at 12 weeks. I then spotted for 2 straight weeks after that due to the abrupt change. I've already told the RE that I will stay on the shots throughout the pregnancy if necessary, but I would imagine that I will be off of them in the next couple of weeks.

I also stopped my progesterone shots last week at 10 weeks. I didn't ween off of it, I was just told to stop.

I started weaning off at 13 weeks and was off completely at 15 weeks.
