Michele - Wahoo! So glad that you have your transfer date! The birthday pics are fantastic! My little guy had a birthday cupcake at his 1st bday party. He made sure that every crumb made it into his mouth!

Mjay - I didn't have any side effects with lupron but I also didn't have any symptoms during the 2WW. Good luck tomorrow! STICK EMBIES STICK!
Tomorrow you are PUPO!

Kiwi - how are you doing?

Kaite - I know the waiting before things begins is horrible, maybe just as bad as the 2WW. You'll be on your way soon enough though!

So, I am curious about all of you who are doing a FET. What protocol does your RE have you on? I am on 10 units of Lupron now and decrease to 5 tomorrow. I then start vivelle patches and asprin and 5 days before transfer I begin PIO and endometrin. I feel like I am taking less meds than other people doing a FET. Does it seem like I am or does it seem pretty normal?

I made an appt. for acupuncture for this weekend. I am going to try to get in a few times before my transfer. Hopefully at least once a week until the 12th. I am starting to get really anxious and nervous that this won't take. A friend at work just told me today that she is preggo with IVF twins. I am SO thrilled for her. But, I am also a little jealous. Okay, getting off the pitty pot now! PMA PMA PMA!

Hi ladies,

I am so glad I founf you guys. I myself have been through 2 failed cycles and am currently scheduled for another round of FET by mid september. I am 28 yrs old and can't bear the thought of another failed cycle.

I was so depressed this afternoon, and crying myself with all the pain and suffering. Then I found this site and realized there are others out there going through the same thing, So I joined the forum immediately and eagerly wait with all of you and wish you all the success and luck.

I am currently taking Lupron Injections 1 x day and have started Estrace on the 18th 1 x day for 4 days, then 2x day for 4days, and then upto 3 x day..I am scheduled for next round of bloodwork and ultrasound on September 1st. Hoping we will know our transfer date after that

Welcome bei! I am sorry about your previous cycles. I hope you get your BFP with this one. I will keep you in my thoughts and I'm sending you lots of PMA and sticky sticky STICKY baby dust!

It looks like you and I may be right on schedule with each other. I am scheduled for a FET mid September too, the 12th to be exact. I will also go in on the 1st for my next b/w and u/s appt.

bei Hi! I, too, was happy to have found this site a few days ago. When I first discovered that my IUI cycle was getting converted to an IVF cycle, I wanted to learn everything I could on it. And though I'm still not an expert, of course, this site has helped ease my mind about a lot of things. I don't know how it will all turn out, but everything seems to have been going smoothly so far (except for the pain after ER), so hopefully the result is a good one as well.

mjay I hope your transfer tomorrow is an uneventful easy one like mine was. Actually with all the build-up, mine seemed kind of anticlimactic. And then we wait, and wait, and wait. I'm so sick of sitting around at home (since the retrieval!) that I am going to go in to work tomorrow. Even the doctor who put me on 3 days "strict" bedrest said it was all "hocus pocus", so I've decided to finally leave my house. I'm starting to hate my bed.

My nipples are really sore from the PIO, which I know is the progesterone because I've had the same reaction to prometrium before. Actually hurts if I accidentally graze against them, so I've been wearing a sports bra. DH not too happy either that I don't let him touch.

michele Your daughter is sooo cute! Is TTC better (less stressful) now that you've already had your first child? DH and I are just focused on having the one for now, even though we've both always wanted two. Don't want to jinx it, you know? Seems this IVF thing lends itself well to being superstitious.

I start estrace tonight too, and it looks thicker than my progesterone in ethel oleate, but I'm going to use the same 25g needle anyway. The 22g scares the sh** out of me!

On another front, I just wanted to share with you guys that I got an interview for an assistant principal position on Thursday, one that I've been praying to get just about equally as much as I've wanted a pregnancy. I've not held that title before, so it's pretty astounding that I was actually chosen to be interviewed, as they only interview 8 max out of hundreds of applications. And it's a choice district, the city where I live actually! But of course I'm still preparing my my classes that start on Monday. They won't have a decision for me probably until a week in. I've been refraining from telling people about this too, because like I said, I don't want to jinx it, but it's so hard holding it in!

Seems like a whole bunch of stuff are going on concurrently. Good thing is, maybe I'll be distracted enough by all of it that waiting for my beta won't be as bad. I'm just really nervous about all of it right now.

dtao- is your estrace an injection? Mine is in pill form that I need to take 3 times a day...so glad I don;t have to do an injection, I don;t even do the PIO, I do the crinone gel instead, looks like I got off pretty easy.

To answer your question about number two versus number one...it is still tough. With Ella, we lucked out and got pregnant on our very first ivf, so we never experienced the devastation of a bfn. This past april, we assumed our second ivf would go like out first, with no problems, and we were devastated it didn't work. I tell myself everyday that no matter what happens, we were blessed with our little Ella and are super grateful for that, but it is still a battle. I just can't imagine having less than 2 kids, I envision my perfect family as three, probably because I have 2 brothers myself and we are best of friends, and I want that bond for Ella.

Sometimes I think it is harder already having Ella because when I went through this past ivf, I could envision how beautiful everything would be in 9 months when I would hold the baby for the first time, because I have already experienced that with Ella and knew what it was like. If I didn;t have Ella, I wouldn't know what I was missing out on...I hope that makes as much sense typed out as it does in my head.

Hello Ladies,
I hope everyone is doing well.

Shelbyrn - Thank you so much for adding me to the list. :D

Michelle - You have a date!!! YAY!!! I'm happy for you. Your daughter is so freakin cute!!! Her picture made me smile. :D

Cheekyone and Kattie - Hello girls. Thanks for the welcome, again - HA I hope your cycles go well.

I hope everyone's cycle goes well.

AFM, I saw the notices coming in at work today. Surprisingly I didn't come one here not once today. I think that's a first. I was really busy, but I think it was also subconscious avoidence. I had a kind of high and low day. I went in to get bw and us today. I asked the tech how it was looking and her reply was oh you have a few in there. WTF kind of response is that?! I had to see the nurse because I had a question and I should have known something was up when I waited 1/2 for her. So she comes to get me with this very serious face on. I asked her my question and I needed a form for my dh to get more blood work. She proceeds to tell me that I have none on my left and 4 on my right. I have 2 leading ones and the other two she feels won't catch up. "So basically you only have 2 and you need at least 4", she says. "I just want to let you know so you aren't surprised incase the doctor wants to cancel your cycle" Again, WTF!!! So I leave there with my shades on because of course I'm crying. I cried all the way into the office. I came home during lunch so that dh could hold me while I cried. He held me and said we aren't giving up. I agree, but boy is this hard. I haven't even gotten to ER or ET or 2WW. Anywho, the doctor called me. He said I was responding alot better this round then I did last round. My E2 is raising nicely. I think that if my poor little follies continue growing and my E2 continues to go up, i might make it to ER. Last cycle I only had 4 also and the doc wanted to go forward with what I had, but my E2 was way too low. It seems like I'm the queen of poor responders. I go back in on Thursday. I will keep you all posted.

While I drove in to RE this am, I prayed for all of you lovely ladies.

aloha ladies =)

I'm currently on the July/August thread, but since my 2ww will carry me into september, I was hoping to in your thread =)

IVF#1 failed in early July . . . IVF #2: I started my stims on 8/16 .. . my ER is tomorrow . . . I'm a low responder (i.e. lots of follistim and menopur--maybe 6-10 follices?) . . . also on a growth hormone because of egg quality concerns . . .

Can you add me to your list?
I'll update the qty. of eggs my RE gets tomorrow . . .

Thanks =)

Bei – nice to “meet” you and glad to have you join us! I’m so sorry you have been upset lately. Just keep your hopes and the PMA up! We are here to support each other and share our feelings and you have joined an awesome group of ladies (the whole forum is awesome, but I’m a little biased! LOL!) Maybe you and Wolffie will have the same schedule and you can be cycle twins!

Wolffie – Enjoy your acupuncture. Keep up the PMA! You can vent all you want to on here. That’s what we are for. When I see twins, a pregnant woman, or a newborn baby now, instead of getting upset, I just tell myself, “That will be me soon”. It helps to ease the stress of having to conceive artificially. I fully believe that there is a plan for me and I just hope that it’s going to pan out this time. This will be our 3rd transfer….maybe 3rd time will be my charm!

Dtao – Girl, I feel your pain about the nipples. I, too, had to convert to a sports bra last time and DH would give me those begging puppy dog eyes. I couldn’t help but laugh, but just compared it to him having his sperm aspiration. He didn’t want the “boys” touched then either! My RE suggests taking it easy for 3 days, but describes it like this: Look @ your uterus like a peanut butter sandwich. It is so thick and sticky the embryos aren’t going to ‘fall out’. Rest on the day of and don’t do anything strenuous afterwards. I just thought the PB analogy was funny and can’t help but laugh when they do my lining checks. I’m thinking: Is it smooth or crunchy? Congrats about the interview and good luck! Sounds like your dream job!

Cheekyone – I have a bruise on my arm, but it seems to be feeling better. I take one every year and this is the first time I have bruised. Congrats on the good b/w and let the dancing commence!

Katie – Patience, my dear, patience. I gues s you could say I was in the right place @ the right time. DH and I are both nurses and we both work from home doing medical chart reviews. We look @ every patient’s chart that comes in with CHF, MI, CABG, cath, etc. and make sure that everything that was supposed to be done was done. So we sit in front of the computer all day. Great for having kids! We mowed yesterday and my sinuses are paying for it now!

Johannita – no problem, Chickie! I read on here SO MANY times a day, but don’t always post. However, if there is a change or a new addition, I go ahead and update it immediately so everyone else will have easy access to it. Don’t get yourself too upset about the results you just got. It’s not over yet and I am going to pray, pray, pray that you have DOUBLE the amount of follies on Thursday. You still have plenty of time to stim. Please let us know how things went. PMA!

Michele – I just have to say again, I’m so happy for you! ‘I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date.’ Well, later than what you would have liked anyway! Woohoo! Time for Ella to have a playmate!

Deftonesmo – Great to have you! I saw that you were on the other thread, but had posted here, too, so I wasn’t sure if you wanted me to add you or not. Consider it done, now! Sorry about your BFN, but it’s time for the tables to turn. BFP’s all the way this time! GOOD LUCK on your ER today! Praying for lots of little eggies!!!!

Cheryl – GOOD LUCK on your ER today! According to my watch you only have about 30 minutes until it starts! YAY!

Mjay – You go in there this morning and tell those little embies to start liking peanut butter and to stick, stick, stick! You’re PUPO!!

Fitzjr – Trigger tonight! YIPEE!!!!

Kiwi – Welcome! Your name is so cute! I have added you to our ‘family’ and wish you heaps of luck! What meds are you starting Tuesday? If you have any questions, just type them out here. We have so many ladies on here that would love to help you out!

Turtle – Yay for moving to the next step! Getting closer by the minute! I, too, am waiting on AF. I have been on Lupron for 10 days now and the little hag better show her face soon  ! The abbreviations threw me for a loop, too, when I first started. The sticky note really helped.

Can you guys believe we have 30 women here with us this time?! That’s awesome! Woffie, Thanks for starting this thread and joining all of us in this wonderful journey! I feel like I have made 29 new friends instantly! I love it!!!!

shelbyrn0214- i hope AF comes soon for us both! my PMS this month has been horrible. i'm not sure if its from the bcp or the lupron, but i've been a mess. cramps, headaches, crazy crazy mood swings. this morning i put myself back to bed for a "redo" because i snapped at my DH for no reason. i said "woah...i'm sorry i'm gonna go sleep for a little longer and try this morning again" haha poor guy had no idea what just happened. hopefully once AF comes i will calm down!

Good Morning my lovely ladies.... It is such a beautiful rainy day here in the Windy City. Even though I only got like 4 hrs of sleep last night, I feel so refreshed and excited  Sorry, I havent been able to respond to personals... I wasnt able to yesterday and now I come on today and WoW, we are moving right along nicely. Hopefully I can get all of you and if i miss any of u, I am so sorry.

CTMichelle... your DD is so gorgeous. I am glad her party went so well. So did all the people that were expected show up? I bet she must have been spoiled with presents... How lovely. AFY... yipee. I am so glad that your elvels dropped and now u can proceed. I will keep my fingers crossed that everything goes well. So when do you go back in for another check up?

mjay... I really hope that your tranfer went well today. And Now you are also officially PUPO. :P As for the symptoms, the POI make us have all those crazy PG symptoms... and normally that does happen after ET cuz if I remember right, dont we start POI after ET? Unless I wrong... Why we get those symptoms... now that I dont know. DOnt worry hun, u will get those symptoms.. for now because of POI and in a few weeks because u will be PG. Unless u r one of the lucky ones and dont get any sypmtoms at all!!! Good luck!!!

fitz... Good Luck tonight with Trigger. I hope they retreive lots of eggs on Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Shelby, SHelby...my dear Shelby.... U r so on top of the list. Thanks for kkeping up wih all of us. As for my 9/7 tranfer... I kind of figure it would be on or around that day as well. Cuz if they mimic a natural then it would be on day 14 of cycle, right?

wolffie... I dont know what proto I am on... I did BCPs last month. No Lupron. I start DelEstrogen and Heparin tonight and I guess POI after ET?
So I am worried about no Lupron cuz everyone else is on, but I have to trust in RE I guess. As for your Friend.. congrats to her... an dit is understandable the jealousy that u feel. I dont know her and after reading your post, I am Jealous too.
