Wow hopeful!!!! Triplets!!!! That's so exciting and I'm sure you're scared at the same time. :D :D :D I agree to look into some triplet forums and see some sucess stories and advice. Try not to google too much as we know it can cause us a lot of stress!

Wishful - Yay for having a baby shaped belly! Wishing you a perfectly smooth pg from here on in.
DH and I are going to our friends wedding in QLD on Thursday till Monday - so that'll be a nice mini break in preparation for our trip to Thailand, Phuket from 1-15 Oct. Woohoo!
This will be our 3rd time. We're so excited, we love it there. My cuz and her boyfriend are also coming to Thailand so that'll be nice.
We're staying in a gorgeous 5 star hotel 5 mins from Patong which is the main beach and shopping area.

Poohgirl - That's so fabulous that you can start!!! :D I hope this is the one for you.

Stef - You're keeping us in suspence! Have you booked your scan?

Gosh I can't wait to get started. All you girls have given me so much hope. Oh well, I guess we'll start the pill in Oct in prep for doing our cycle when we get back from Thailand. So that's not too long to wait.

Poohgirl Congrats! I know this will be your cycle to get a BFP! And you're correct, I'm still in shock.

I called my SIL and talked with her, as she is a Pediatric Cardiologist and works with all the specialty doctors. She said she'd talk to a few of the perinatal doctors and see what they have to say. We are definitely going to do a lot of research and see a couple specialists before we make any decisions. We've worked to hard to get this far. So, right now we are simply taking it one day at a time.

Steph, when did you say your first u/s is? I'm betting you have twins :)

Off to try and find something to occupy my mind

I have my first U/S on Sept 2nd at 6w1d, I am so anxious to see what is in there. I am going to go in and check my prog level tomorrow and also do a UA. I don't have UTI symptoms but a little vag irritation and my pee stinks. Has anyone dealt with this? I am sure that the irritation is from the supp and doc thinks the meds coming through the urine could be causing the distinct odor. I tried to push them to do a quick U/S but she didn't think it would be wise since I am just 5 wks tomorrow, can't see too much and if she couldn't see anything she would have to start testing me for an ectopic. I have not had any pain or bleeding so I am not even thinking along those lines. My symptoms are all over the place. I go from feeling fine and very little upset tummy to feeling extremely tired, breast tenderness and low tolerance of hardly any food. And I am hot, which is weird since I am usually a cold person.

Hopeful, how far along are you now? Does your doc usually do scans at 5wks?

Clemo, sonds like quite a trip to look forward to. I have never been over there it sounds lovely.

Wishful, It is fun when you go from looking fat to finally preggo. Have you seen those shirts that say "I'm not fat, I'm knocked up"?

Pooh, I'm glad you are starting, you must be bursting at the seems to start with all the activity on the boards lately.

Hopeful - wow, triplets! How exciting! That's just more babies to love!!!! Let us know what you find out from the various doctor's you speak to. We're rooting for you and are here to support you!

Stef - can't wait to hear what you find out at your ultrasound. It is just next week and hopefully the next week flies by!

Wishful - that is a great stage when you start to look pregnant. I found the 2nd trimester the best - felt great, looked great and accomplished a lot.

Poohgirl - that time is going to fly by. It is great that you are starting. I always found that with everything broken into small time pieces, the days flew by and the whole process seemed to pass quickly which is exactly what you want right now! It'll transfer day in no time.

Clemo - your trip to Thailand sounds wonderful. I was there a lifetime ago and loved it! Enjoy the wedding this weekend as well!!

Summer - you are getting close. My sister-in-law is due on Sep 18th so I keep thinking that you are just 4 weeks after that! No long at all! Very exciting! Are you ready - well, as ready as you'll ever be?

JDC - how are you girl? Did the transfer go well?

Sabi/Gigi - hope you are doing well!

AFM - I am trying to make the twins birthday cards and mail them off this week. Their birthday is 3.5 weeks away. Hard to believe how quickly the first year goes. My husband and I have also started our own business (did I already mention that??) so we are super busy which is a bit overwhelming right now. Plus we have our good friends who live in Taiwan staying with us for the week so I am not accomplishing nearly what I should be! Yikes!

Thinking of you all and can't wait to hear about the next BFP!!!!!

Hopeful - That's great that you have your SIL for support and knowledge.

Stef - Not long to go but I bet time is dragging for you. How many embies did you have transfered?

Kelly - it's great to see success stories like you. Do you have any tips with going through this emotional rollercoaster?

Kim - Hi :) . Good to hear transfer went well. Wow....you had 3 transfered!!! I live in Australia and we're only allowed to transfer 2 at the most and even that is hard to do. I really had to go against my Dr's advice to have 2 transfered for my FET.
I will definately be doing 2 with DE as well, hoping we get that far...
So wishing good luck with your 2ww. I hope it goes quick for you.

Hi to everyone. :)

Stef - Only one more week and you'll see what all you have in there! My doc does normally do a 5 week scan just to see what is in there and that it is in the right place. The catch is that it is not part of the package we paid for, which we found out after, so each of these scans cost us additional. Some insurance will pay for it, but my HMO won't due to being out of network. Sounds like if my regular OB can't get me into a specialist quickly he might not release me as soon. It will cost more, but at least we know he is looking out for us.

Clemo - you are sooo correct on the internet. My SIL said the same thing ... after I had already read a bunch of scary stuff. Your trip sounds wonderful, enjoy it!

Carolyn - I understand the looking fat as opposed to being pregnant. Glad you are on the other side now. Considering I haven't run in over 6 weeks and have 3 in there I'm definitely looking like I put on weight, but our scale battery went out the week before the transfer so I haven't a clue how much I've really gained. Not sure I want to either.

Kim - Congrats a great transfer.

Kelly- you make twins sound easy, maybe you should write a book :D

We are still in shock, but just taking it day by day. I go back to teaching next week so we decided I needed to tell my administrators. I'll be meeting with them tomorrow morning ... can't wait to see their faces

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Hopeful - WOW Girl!!!! I wish you all the best with your 3 little miracles!!!

Babyblue - my beta is Saturday - we put in 2 blasts. good luck to you!!

This morning I POAS ( as I always do, I don't want the surprise by telephone) and it was BFP!!! Yeah! We will be more excited when we see a heart beat because last year we had 2 miscarriages, but since this was my sister's eggies, it should be good! Unfortunatly my other 2 blasts did not make it too freeze, so that was disappointing, but who can complain now?

JDC, good luck Sat. I will be praying for good numbers. You r brave to test with home kit. I'm too much of a chicken.

Stef, I hope all goes well on your scan next week. I t seems like that 1st scan makes it all the more real.

Hopeful, I wish I were a little mouse in the room when u tell your administrators next week.

Clemo, my RE said he really has to justify anything over 2 that he puts back in because of the octo mom thing. Sad that one messup can hurt chances for others that have failed numerous times with only 1 or 2 eggs.

Poohgirl, congrats on getting started. It always seemed that the longest wait was just getting started. I thought the waiting for your cycle to start was worse than the 2ww

Hello to all I forgot to mention.

Hi Ladies:

Hopeful: 3 are a miracle. Praying for you on your very full journey. Hang in there and take one day at a time. I am sure it's hard though. Identical twins are very cool too. Don't see many of them these days.

JDC: Congrats on the test. Your stats are totally different now with your sister's eggs. I am the same way but remember you are dealing with a whole new basket of "eggs" now.

Stef: Hot is normal. I use to sweat to death in the mornings when pregnant. It's a good sign. Also not being able to eat much this early is a good sign too. I usually lose weight first trimester because of pretty serious morning sickness. Try cheetos and doritos. It does work.

Sabi: I know you are getting close to having to announce your pregnancy at school. That's exciting.

Summer: I am sure you are getting very excited. Did you do a belly cast? Those are wonderful and fun to do with dh.

poohgirl: Where are you in your cycle? We are at day 5 for donor stims.

Me: We have started our cycle and our donor has about 5 more days until retrievel. Close call with me. I tested for very high estrogen and they were worried about a cyst threatening my uterine lining. All is good and the cyst is not producing progesterone which is also good. We are quite excited. I also posed my clinic with the request that we want more information from our donor such as : favorite book, color, movies, etc. They are restructuring their program and actually going to start getting more of this info for those of us wishing to disclose...not that I'm for sure about disclosing yet. Will wait and see after we get pregnant.

Seriously though lupron makes me crazy hungry--I can so eat my arm off right now!

Check in with you all later

Hi girls!
Wow - Hopeful!!! Triplets! No wonder you were probably bleeding at the beginning, with everyone fighting for space in there! I'm sure you will seek out the very best care and advice you can find as you progress in your pregnancy! Wishing you all the best! I do think on the pg after tmt board there might be a new triplet thread that has just started.

JDC - congrats on your BFP! Looking forward to hearing your beta at the end of the week, since you have tested positive so early!

Kim - we also transferred 3 via FET and I am pregnant with one. Good luck to you on your 2WW!

Gigi - you are really close! Wishing your donor all the best for a good ER and some high quality embryos afterwards.

Poohgirl - so happy you have started! You've been waiting for quite a while - I am sure your patience will pay off in the end with your very own BFP!

Clemo - enjoy your fun in the sun holiday!

Stef - good luck and enjoy your scan next week!

Sabi - hope all is well with you! How many weeks are you now? When is your next scan?

Kelly - you do make twins sound effortless - which is a good thing, with so many here expecting their own set!

chriss - hope all is going well. Are you already back to school? Can' wait to hear the reaction from your colleagues when you walk in with your baby bump! It was a long time coming and I hope you are smiling every day!

carolyn - enjoy camping! Do you mean you are really camping, like sleeping on the ground in sleeping bags kind of thing? I can't even imagine that right now...I have a hard enough time getting comfortable sleeping in my own cozy bed these days!
Happy to hear you've got a nice little bump going! Enjoy!! The 2nd trimester is really the best time to get things done, just like Kelly said. I'm sure at your next scan, you can find out what you are having -- if you want to!

Tomorrow, we are going on a tour of the hospital and are looking forward to that! The nursery is set up, but we still have things to buy. My bag isn't packed yet, but DH wants me to get started! I still have to wash all the baby stuff. The urge to get everything cleaned and organized has definitely hit both DH and me and we are tackling everything step by step. Baby is doing well and we are so looking forward to meeting our little miracle!

Big hello to JenB and anyone else I might have missed!!

xx summer
