I am just starting my 5 days bedrest and I have been cramping in my lower abdomen through to my lower back. Is this something I should be worried aboit? This is our 5th IVF and never cramped

Did anyone else cramp after transfer?

Babyblue - I had some very mild cramping also, but it was somewhat infrequent. Then a few very sharp pains that were short lived. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless they become very painful, then I would call the RE. Good luck!!

The board really picked up speed this past 24 hours and so much good news!!!

JDC - CONGRATS on your BFP!!! Can't wait to hear your beta on Saturday, good luck!

Gigi - I didn't realize your cycle was so far along, great news! Glad to hear they are looking into getting you more info on your donor.

Summer - touring the hospital already, you are getting so close to having your bundle in your arms

Carolyn - Did you say camping? Like in a sleeping bag and tent. Wow, I'm impressed ... do they have restrooms near by??? You are exactly 7 weeks ahead of me. We are adjusting ok, taking it day by day as I've had two doctor tell me there is a 20-30% chance one identical will vanish :?

Poohgirl - hope you are keeping some snacks handy, people will start wondering if you have bite marks on your arm!

Babyblue - Sending lots of sticky baby dust your way! Hope the cramps subside, if not I agree with JDC, call your RE.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

AFM, I spoke with my principal and the 2 vice-principals today. They were very supportive and told me to let them know if I need anything. They are willing to help out however they can so I feel much more at ease. They were funny, I told them how we went in last week and were surprised it was twins, then shocked when they found 3 heartbeats this week and they said if it keeps going up each week and I end up on tv like octomom, they want a piece of the action

My OB did talk to my IVF doc so next Friday is my last day at the clinic and then I'm transferred to my OB and see him on the 14th. The nurse said,"If you are still pregnant with triplets at that point, then we'll refer you to perinatal." Not sure I liked how she phrased it, but I guess she was being honest.

Babyblue--I had cramping the one time I had a BFP--my RE said it may have been implantation so it might be a good thing:-) But if it doesn't go away call your doc!

Carolyn--have fun camping! Loved your picture on facebook it looked so summery.

Summer it feel like yesterday that you annouced you are preggers and now that baby is coming soon :D I am so excited for you!!!

Gigi--not long now!

Sabi--How you feeling?? Tired I bet:-)

Hopeful--The new octomom:-)

JDC--I wonder if you will keep our multiple trend going--cause you did test positive early I bet that beta is a good number!

Clemo--I am also jealous of your holiday! Have fun.

Okay I didn't eat my arm but last night I so ate a entire pizza by myself and topped it off with Bed and Jerry's Seriously I will look like I am preggers before the transfer if this keeps up!! Dang meds always make me fat!

Have a good thursday everyone!

Poohgirl - I also ate like crazy after my last BFN and then in the prep phase for my DE cycle and kept thinking, I really ought to be more careful -- but, before I knew it I got my one and only BFP! Just some food for thought. LOL

Hopeful - glad your school is being so supportive of you. Sounds like you've got a great relationship there.

Kim - I also had cramping this time around, but it came and went and one time was so severe, which I assume was implantation -- but then it subsided to mild AF like cramps, but it wasn't uncomfortable. Like the other girls said, if you are concerned, do call your RE.

Kelly - can't believe your twins are going to be a year old already! I remember when I joined this thread you were a few weeks away from delivering...I'm sure you've had an incredible year. Looking forward to following your footsteps as the next mom-to-be here.

Take care egg-heads!

Yesterday I wrote a pretty long reply with lots of personals and somehow it is just gone.

Hopeful, I had to laugh when I found out your were telling work so early. We are afraid to tell anyone until we reach 12 weeks. When do you have another U/S? I hope your little ones hang on. I'm sure it is making 2ww look like a cake walk?

JDC, I think it is wonderful you got a BFP so early, that is a really good sign. Better be careful it is like drinking some kind of multiple water on this thread We have twins and triplets galore!

It is funny to hear a few of you say how hungry you are. I am not a girl who skips meals but right now I am so bloated and feeling fat that I almost forget to eat.

I am still worried about my p4 level. I am on a ton of progesterone and last it was 22 even with PIO every other day. I was going to spread the dose to every 3 days but am concerned that I will go below the recommended >20 mark. Last pg my prog dropped to 3. I'm not willing to let that happen again so I am being a pain in the a$$ with my OB's and pushing for the PIO as well as extra monitoring and testing.

Kim, I thinking cramping can be quite normal. I had some strong tugging episodes early on; maybe implantation cramps?

Carolyn, I can't imagine camping right now. I agree with Hopeful, I am so bloated that even my bed isn't always comfortable. Good luck and I hope you have an air mattress. What exactly is a bank holiday anyway? I went to Ireland a while back during bank holiday unknowly and the whole country was shut down.

Summer, It is exciting that you are getting so close.

Thanks for the feedback on the cramping. It hasn't been unbearable, and it seems to be very infrequent. I will hope it is a good sign this time. I have to see my RE in the morning for prog levels. I will mention it to them.

I want to say more, but replying on a Blackberry is the pits.

Wish u all the best,
Kim

My first beta at 9dp5dt (14dpo) is 87 - I know that's good but I have this fear because it's below average. I'm so grateful to be pregnant but the stress of knowing this is our one and only last shot is starting to sink in. I need my positive energy back!

Hope everyone is feeling well and happy today!

Congratulations on your BFP, JDC!!!!! When do you go back for another Beta? You've gotta think positive. It has worked!!! Believe it! Hang in there and assume the best! Let those little embies know that they are wanted and keep your stress at bay.
My first Beta wasn't even until 21dpt -- and it was only "good enough", but not anything I or even my doctor was sure about. And, to top it off, I only had one Beta and had to wait till I was at least 6 weeks for my scan to see if anything was there -- But, patience and positive thinking paid off -- I'm really a firm believer in that.

Sending you lots and lots of PMA!! :D xx summer

Congratulations JDC!!! :D Glad to hear you are feeling better today about your number and having only a PMA.

Carolyn - Glad to hear you are camping in somewhat luxuray! Hope you are having fun to boot!

Stef - How is your p4 level doing? Mine was high last week so they reduced my pio shot. Under normal circumstances I probably wouldn't have told the entire admin team, but with triplets I figured they should know. I haven't even told my parents yet, but I ended up in the ER last year with a miscarriage the 3rd week of school, so I just figured I'd give them a heads up as I'm sure I'll be feeling pretty tired the first few weeks of school. Not to mention, I teach for 4.5 hours straight in the morning, so I'm definitely going to need coverage so I can run to the restroom, which isn't close to my classroom. They were really supportive, they are a great team, so I'm glad I told them.

Poohgirl - glad to hear your arm is still intact, the pizza and ice cream sound really good. I wanted ice cream for dinner tonight, as it is really hot here, 90 degrees in our house :x but DH vetoed it.

Kim - same question as Summer, when do you get to test?

I hope everyone is having/had a great weekend!

JDC--87 is just fine really! for now just relax and enjoy your BFP!!!

Carolyn--glad you are camping in style--still I would rather "rough it" it a hotel:-)

Steph--good luck with your P4 levels and keep on them about it!

Hopeful--how are you feeling?

Summer--it is so close now I can hardly stand it so I am sure you can hardly wait!

gigi--Hows it going honey? Not long before you are PUPO!

Sabi--How are you doing mommie to be? tired I bet!

AFM--Having hot flashes with my lupron--I think my patients think I am to total weirdo--drenched in sweat right in the middle of thier appointment! Still eating up a storm but I am trying not to eat house and home. We are having a little bit of a chilly spell it was 37 last night and high today of about 60--typically this time of the year our highs are in the 80's and sometimes 90's. Well that's Wisconsin for you--you never can tell what is going to happen! Talk to you all later!
