Oh Gi, I'm so sorry...don't give up...if it usually happened at day 8 and now it's only day 6 then maybe it's implantation bleeding and that's a good thing!! If you felt positive yesterday, you should keep the faith cuz this does not mean it's over- not at all. I'm thinking of and praying for you. Laura

Aww Gi don't be down and out just yet. Remember I mentioned I had the exact same amount of spotting with both my 1st and 2nd cycle and the 2nd was a BFP. Progesterone, specifically the IM injections, if that is what you are on can cause spotting and menstrual cramps. I know its so hard to be positive, believe me I am checking the toilet each and every time but its just everything that goes along with this RIDICULOUS 2 week wait!!!! I feel for you and am praying but don't let this get you down just yet.

Hi Ladies-
Mind if I jump on board here? I've been reading, but haven't joined in this group yet. I had my retrieval on 8/19 and I had my transfer on 8/24, so i'm officially 3dp5dt. We transferred two 4AA blasts. I took a few days of bedrest and now i'm back at work. DH and I have been TTC for over 2 years and I have no known issues and he has a low sperm count. This is our first IVF cycle and I'm praying that it works!

Hi girlies,

JG_379 course you can you the more the merrier!!! Sounds like you have some good blasts on board fingers crossed it will work for you 1st time, when is your beta??

jandc33 and Laura thanks for your comments they mean so much. Its prob just the hormones but instinct is telling me not to get too excited so the fall wont be too hard. Feeling lots better today still cramping on/off, the spotting appears to be a once off not a thing since (fingers crossed it stays that way) still have lots of pulling sensations/sore stomach muscles so i am clinging to some hope. Doesnt this 2ww just drive you demented, i am normally easy going and not much bothers me but the 2ww makes me sound like i have spilt personalities  still have 9 days to go before i am supposed to officially test, do ye think i am mad to test from tomorrow 8dptdt????? We dont do betas here so i have to test at some stage and i have lots in the press.....do i dare???

How are ye ladies doing???

gi- thanks for the welcome! I have my beta on September 1. No idea why it's only 9 days, but i'm assuming it has something to do with it being a 5 day transfer. That's a tough question, if I were in your shoes (and because i'm impatient), I probably would have tested by now, but 8 days after a 3 day transfer is still pretty early. I think waiting another 9 days is way too long though! I wonder if the sensitivity of the tests is different in Ireland and that's maybe why they want you to wait so long? Just a guess. Where in Ireland are you from? I absolutely love it there and would move there if I could! DH and I went to Dublin and Cork on our honeymoon.

JG_379 you are testing early as your was a 5 day plus ye do blood cks which pick up hcg quicker than a pregnancy test they dont ck bloods here thats why they make you wait 16days. I am from Carlow about 1 hrs drive from Dublin i live i a lovely little country village that only has a church, school and very tiny shop but i work in town so best of both worlds though it is nice to walk the countryside with my doggies, would you believe i have never been to cork and sure its less than 2 hrs away!! Is time going as slow for you as it is for me its still bloody day 7!!!!!

gi- At least your day 7 is almost over, it's only 1:30 here! I have a long way to go before day 4 :-). I was reading online awhile back about home pregnancy tests and for some reason, I thought that I remembered that tests in U.K. have weaker sensitivity levels. Many of the tests here in the states detect pregnancy at 25 mIu's, but a lot of tests in the U.K. detect pregnancy at 50 mIu's. Anyway, here's a link with the different tests and sensitivity: http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hpt.html. That's why I thought maybe they had you test at day 16 rather than 14. Your town sounds wonderful!

Hey ladies,
So I took 3 HPTs today and 2 of them had a faded 2nd line and then I took a digital one that said either your preg or not and it said Pregnant. I pray its true. Dont want to get my hopes up because anything can happen but I will try and keep my PMA. When I first tested on day 5 post transfer It was negative and today im 9 days post transfer. I get my 1st beta on the 31st.

I will pray we all get BFP, Gi dont give up hope, JG_379 wecome to the 2ww, I have my beta a day before you. I will pray we get BFP's

Wishing all you ladies the best

Ladybug- That sounds like very good news!!! I say get excited cuz it sure sounds like you'll be getting a bfp- that's wonderful! How have you been feeling? Your beta is getting close now!

Jenny- Welcome to our 2ww!! It's so hard to count each day and feel like each day just drags by, isn't it??!! I think when I had a day5 transfer my 1st cycle that they checked my beta just about 10 days later. Hopefully the days will fly right by for you.

Gi- So glad you are feeling better and that the spotting stopped- it probably was implantation bleeding. I would try to wait just as long as you can to test otherwise you will want to check it every day.

How are you feeling Jandc and dtao?

Today I thought I felt a little heart burn but I might be nuts too. I also feel a little less bloated (could be bad or good or could mean nothing!) and I'm really tired. So basically I have no idea what to think or if everything is just progesterone induced. Oh let these days just go by quick.

Night and baby dust to all, Laura

Still waiting, waiting, waiting. Although the prospect of a new job has been keeping me pretty distracted. Oh ya, and starting school on Monday. But it's never away from my mind for too long.

I will be taking HPT(s). I would like to be prepared for what to expect in the phone call, so good or bad, I will be testing myself... maybe on Monday? Ok, I confess, maybe before!

ladybug 3 positives is brilliant i really pray this is it for you, its the waiting now thats torture but you are over one hurdle now on to the next, take it one day at a time xxxx

So girls couldnt hold out i also took a test this am 8dp3dt and also got a Faint positive!! I am also threading carefully as i know its very early days and risks of chemical m/c etc but so far i am one step closer. I havent even told j yet its his 30th very soon so i will continue to take tests in secret and if i keep getting positives i will give him Best Birthday Ever. So ladies please say a prayer.
