My name is Tracy. My husband and I are both 35 and have been TTC for 2 years. I have had 1 failed IUI and 2 failed IVFs. My 3rd IVF cycle was cancelled last week before we really even started.

I definitely know how you are feeling. It is so emotionally, financially and physically exhausting to go through.
My name is Christine. I am 37 years old and so is my husband. This is my 3rd IVF cycle:
1st -- (fresh) ended in BFN
2nd -- (frozen) BFP this time, but ended 10 days later
3rd -- (fresh) I am in the midst of my 2ww
I had the transfer on Monday and will have my beta on 9/4
I have a 5 year old son who was conceived naturally, but I developed a massive fibroid tumor and had invasive surgery which left me with scar tissue which is blocking my tubes.
My 5 year old son has Autism. The past 5 years have been unbearably difficult to say the least. Between the Autism and my fertility problems, I am just exhausted.
During this current cycle, I did the PGD genetic screening test on day 3 post transfer. I had 13 embryos that all looked good on day 3. The test showed that 6 of the 13 showed no abnormalities. My doctor explained that the other 7 would probably have looked fine on day 5 (if we hadn't done the test) and I might have transfered one of them. Because I knew which embryos were the most genetically sound, I transfered one of those (a girl) to avoid upping my chances of having another boy with Autism (much more common in boys).
If you don't end up with a positive result this time (which I really hope you do), you might want to ask your doctor about PGD. It will at least ensure that you are giving yourself the best chance to transfer the strongest embryo. The normal grades they give them aren't always enough.

Hi Everyone!
My name is Sarah, 27 years old. My husband (30) is paralyzed from the waist down and has poor sperm motility. We have been trying for 4 years. We finally found decent sperm this summer while my husband was taking clomid.
Today, I was suppose to start the meds process before ICSI. The docs want me to take birth control for 22 days. But, I actually forgot to pick it up from the drug store. What the heck is wrong with me?!?!? So I will start tomorrow, hopefully it wont mess anything up.
My husband is from Serbia. We cant afford IVF here, so we are going to Serbia for the procedure because it is much cheaper ($2000). I have no idea what to expect cuz this is my first IVF cycle....oh and I dont speak the language so my husband will have to translate everything.
Im currently doing a dairy diet to help with my fertility: whole milk and ice cream everyday! It helped keep my cycle right at 28 days, so I will keep at it.
A few questions: How many embryos do you typically transfer? What impact do you think drinking has with fertility (i had way too much wine last night)?
