JDC: 87 is fine. I have had friends with less and delivered healthy babies. remember that numbers are just a range...you be positive!

Sabi: you have to be exhausted after a week of school already and lots of raging hormones. Hope you had a restful weekend.

Poohgirl: okay...you and I are eating alot on lupron. what is lupron anyway?

Hopeful: I say go for the ice cream for dinner on a one off. You deserve it with all of your hard work to get where you are now.

AFM: Had scare last week. Estrogen was 450 without any estrogen patch. Found I have a little cyst but it's producing estrogen and not progesterone so my uterus lining is actually in great shape from all of the estrogen. If it was producing progesterone or in a bad spot, we would have had to freeze any embryo produced. All is good. Just waiting to hear about donor's eggies.

everyone else...hope you are resting and enjoying your time right now.

Hi Gigi:-) Lupron is a medication used to supress egg development and ovulation or as my RE likes to put it down regulation, they don't want you to make any follicals or release one or it will screw up your cycle. I get my scan and estrogen checked on Wed--then the fun really starts  good luck with the egg report :D

Hi Everyone

Wow what a great thread with so many positive results - congratulations to you all.

I hope you don't mind if I join you (again), some of you may remember me. I was here early in the year but got cold feet, stressed too much over the whole situation and pulled out.

But now, here we are again, and I'm in a much better state of mind and not stressing. We got in touch with the clinic at the beginning of August, asked various questions and supplied test results. Our appt is in Prague on 18/9 with a possible donor lined up for us. I have also spoken to our hospital here (where we did our previous ivf's) and they are willing to do the scans for us.

I wonder if I can ask if you have any advice on questions I should ask the clinic when I get there, as I'm sure I'm bound to forget something. Also, did your clinics give you your meds to take home with you or did they post them to you.

For this trip we are doing a one-day trip and I also wonder if you can recommend anyplace to eat/drink or visit for the day. For our actual trip to Prague for ET I wonder if you can recommend any hotels.

Carolyn, I'm going to the same clinic as you went to.

Ladies, you are all giving me hope, and for that I thank you.

Thanks for listening and I look forward to joining you all.

Summer & Poohgirl, my Beta test is this Thursday. Today was my first day back at work after 5 days bedrest, and I was snowed under - good thing to keep my mind off of testing Thurs. Can't help but get nervous every time I think about it. Lupron didn't make me half as hungry as these mega doses of progesterone they have me on.

JDC, Congratulations!!! That is a great beta - hope mine is as good. Did you test early with HPT, how early? I'm thinking of doing same. I bought 3 tests and it in no way changes the outcome of the beta on Thursday. I was thinking of testing tomorrow morning, that would be 7dp5dt.

Sabi, hope work hasn't wore you completely out!

Gigi, lupron made me hungry too. Good to hear that the cyst didn't effect anything and the cycle continues!!

Carolyn, sounds like my kind of camping. We have the large air bed but unfortunately we have to hike it to the bath house. Couldn't imagine in the middle of the night, pregnant, and running to the bath house.

Lots of sticky baby dust to everyone,
Kim

Welcome back, Pauline and best of luck with your appointment!! Prague is a wonderful walking city - everywhere you turn, there is something to see! We had a guide book with us with a few walking tours and just set off and explored. The first time I was there was also in early Sept and it was still loaded with tourists -- so don't be surprised...We stayed in the K&K Central Hotel and went everywhere by foot (except to the clinic of course) --

I also think that along with Carolyn, Stef (evergreen,co) was also at the same clinic and recently got her BFP and is waiting on her first scan.

I am sure the other ladies here will be more than helpful to help you get a list of questions together!

Kim - will be thinking of you on Thursday!! Got my fingers crossed! Stay busy this week, but don't overdo it!!

Stef - how are things with you? Send us and update when you have the chance.

To gigi and poohgirl - all the best with your upcoming cycles!! Hoping to hear about some great fertilization parties in the near future!

Hopeful - thinking of you and hope all is well. When is your next appt?

Carolyn - hope you had a wonderful time camping. Glad it wasn't as primitive as we all pictured it!!

to chriss and sabi - hope you moms2b are doing well and kicking up those feet as much as possible.

hi to kelly, jenB and anyone I've missed!! Nice that this thread is so active and so positive!!

I am well, counting down the weeks and trying to finish up my shopping...

Take good care everyone and have a great week!!
xx summer

Jen - hope your having lots of good breaks away in the camper

Pauline - welcome back ! sometimes we just need time away to get things stright in our minds - i can only say good things about the clinic - hope you find them as heklpful as we have - i got all my drugs over there and brought them back with me - much cheaper than over here - oh apart from prednisone which got from my GP. You can walk back through the park at the back of the clinic down to the river and along and cross The Charles bridge up to the old town and Wencelas (SP!) square - there are lots of lovely places to eat - can get a bus from airport to tube but there is not a tube stop that near to clinic a taxt from airport to the clinic will cost about £20. Just let me know if anything else want to know !!

AFM - nothing much to report - had best nights sleep in ages when camping but decided cos the airbed moulds to you so DH has decided he is going to pout it up in spare room for me to sleep on ! I am starting to show now and everyone knows am still scared though that something may go wrong - its seems like ages to my 20 week scan - may pay for an extra one in between !!

Take care

Thanks Summer & Carolyn for the warm welcome.

Summer, not long for you now, how exciting - are you ready?

Carolyn, how exciting to be showing your bump, I can't believe you are 14 weeks already - the time seems to be flying by.

I'm not fully up to speed with everyone else at the moment, for which I apologise, but hope you are all doing well. Will try to be a better egghead when I return from Ireland.

Gotta run now, as we are about to head off to Wales to catch ferry to Ireland. We get back 2 days before we travel to Prague. I'm so excited I can hardly wait!

JDC - Congrats on a fab beta. You must be relieved that it's risen so nicely. Hope time goes quick till your scan.

Summer - Enjoy your time organising all your bubba things. Are you aiming for a natural birth or caesar?

Hopeful - Great to hear that you have support from your work. Sending loads of positive vibes your way.

Poohgirl - Hope the drugs aren't making you too crazy. Hoping it'll all be worth it in a couple of weeks!

Gigi - Fingers crossed for good news about your donors eggies. Glad to hear your lining is nice and ready.

Pauline - I've only just joined this gorgeous group of girls but can safely say that they've kept me feeling positive about going on such a big journey. Good luck with everything.

Kim - Good luck with your beta on Thursday. Have you poas yet? I hope time isn't going too slowly for you.

Carolyn - How exciting about starting to show! I'm with you on getting extra scans. If you're worried then have one so you can try to enjoy your pg.

Stef - Definately request more blood tests if you need peace of mind. It doesn't hurt to be sure. Hope your feeling well.

Sorry if I've missed some of you gorgeous girls but I can't see anymore posts from this page!!!!!

AFM - Had a nice time in QLD. Spent the last 4 days sun baking by the pool! Back at work now  . Oh well, only 4 weeks till Thailand now!!!!
DH and my cuz and I went to our 1st counselling session yesterday. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. One thing that I hadn't thought about was how my cuz would react if/when the bub is born. We can't predict these things but hope that we can all get through it together.
My cuz said that her session was fine - so that's all good.
Next counselling session is on the 16th when we sign the consent forms. Then our nurse app is on 18th. I'm looking forward to that especially as that's when we'll sort out the cycle dates and meds.

:)

Hi all :D

JDC--I am happy your beta did what it was suppose to do--go up. When is your 1st scan??

Pauline--welcome, sorry I can't answer any of your questions since I am doing everything here in the US, but I know the other girls will help! Good luck on your first appointment!

Sabi, Summer, carolyn, and steph (and anyone else I forgot) How are our mommies doing?? I am so excited for all of you!

Gigi--how you holding up honey?? it is getting close now.

Sorry If I forgot anyone, my mind is toast (which sound yummy) and well you all know!

AFM--Had my ultrasound and BW today, everything is alright but they saw fluid in the utreine cavity which they are going to watch, the RE is hopeful it will just be reasorbed but I am of course freaking, as is my nature. I will be googling this later as any good IVFer will do. None the less I get to start my Estrogen today yea!!! Well My next patient is here so I guess I better get my diabetes hat back on and start working!!

Well ladies, I POAS this morning and BFP!!!!! I don't go for my beta levels until tomorrow but I am walking on cloud 9 with some reserve. I m/c at 8 weeks two years ago so I want to be cautious. I woke up at 1:40 a.m. to pee and got a "pregnant" on the clearblue stick - I had to wake DH. Funny seeing a man excited and emotional standing there in his underwear. We haven't told anyone.

I have a staff meeting in 15, so will post more personals later.

Take care,
Kim

Kim - so thrilled for you! Congratulations!!!!!!!! Getting that BFP is really a moment that you won't forget.

JDC - great beta!! Hooray!! When is your 1st scan? Have you told your sis?

Clemo - welcome back! Jealous of your few days of lounging about by the pool in the warm sunshine! Hope you enjoyed the wedding as well! I'm having a c-section on Oct. 15th due to a myome that I have and my age.

Poohgirl - you are too funny -- Can you tell me again what your schedule is looking like? When does your donor have her scans and eventual ER? And don't read too much on the internet - you are more likely to get more stressed out, when you need to keep up that PMA!

gigi - any new news?

stef & hopeful - hope all is going well with you both!!

hello to carolyn, chriss, sabi, kelly, jenB and anyone I have missed!

Everyday we feel a bit closer to being ready...or not!! We really can't wait though to meet this little baby in just 6 weeks from tomorrow...

Take good care everyone,
xx summer
