hi ladies! so i had my cycle day 2 bloodwork and ultrasound done today and just got the call for my next instructions. i am continuing lupron every morning but they lowered it from 10 units to 5 units. then i start my gonal-f on saturday sept. 5th at night, and then i go in for more bloodwork on the 8th.
i'm a little surprised and a little confused because i thought i would be starting the gonal-f today. does anyone know why they would keep me on a lower dose of lupron for another 5 days before starting the gonal? is that normal?
when i'm on the phone with the nurses i always am so focused on writing everything they say down that by the time i hang up i dont realize i have questions....
on a different doctors note...i lost a tooth filling yesterday and i have a huge hole in it!! it is killer, and i have to wait until wednesday to see my dentist. I hope they can fix it and i dont have to have it pulled...it looks so bad to me. i'm just glad it happened now and not when i'm pregnant!
does anyone know if its ok to have novocaine while on lupron? i'm gonna need alot!

Lady_J: I have some egg quality issues . . . we also transferred 4 embies last time and none stuck . . . DH and I are also open to reduction of we get triplets or more . . . if you don't want to reduce, then your RE may only transfer 2 embies . . .

Turtle - I'm not sure about the lidocaine. You might want to call your RE and make sure. I've never heard of that being a problem, but I deal mostly with men taking Lupron for prostate problems and having lidocaine for heart caths. Not sure if it's different for women. From what I understand, the Lupron calms the ovaries down. I have been on Lupron since 8/16 and started with 20 units. When I got AF, I dropped down to 10 units and the nurse told me that i will be on it throughout stims. I would assume this is to prevent me from ovulating the eggs that the stims are making me produce. It sounds like you and I are on the exact same schedule! :D I start Follistim on 9/5 with b/w on 9/8. COOL!!

Cheeky-I know those 2 embies are warm and cozy and growing strong! StIcKy DuSt to you!

Dtao-sorry I jumped the gun. Focus on positivie thoughts for tomorrows beta and taking care of your self!

Wolffie-I need to research this whole accupunture thing. Does it really help the transfer? Should I ask the Dr's in Serbia? Know any good websites with info?

Shelby-what kind of massages should I get? Is it more of a destressor? Thanks for the well wishes. It made me : ) My husband says thanks too! I dont know about TV coverage, but I will keep ya'll posted. He did his rehab at Shepard center in buckhead, so we have been back that way a couple of times.

Lady J- Thanks! What an awesome DH to take u out for dancing and drinks...tons of fun! Good luck with the FET!

Fitzjr-good luck on Wednesday! How many are you transfering?

Michele-Good luck with finishing you masters...that is awesome! I got mine in special ed while working full time...and only had one axiety attack.

Cheryl- congrats! Im so excited for you! How long are you resting? Beta is on Wednesday...i thought it was a 2ww?

Turtle-good luck with all the tooth stuff. Im going to the dentist while Im on lupron to. I think I have a couple cavities. I dont know why doctors do what they do...Im guessing there is no set protocal...mine is completely different from everyone elses.

ASF-main thing on my agenda is to get those tickets to Serbia purchased. I will have to miss 15 days of work, but I got a former teacher to sub for me the whole time...she will be great! Im so exhausted, I cant sleep...any suggestions on something to help me sleep...im trying to lay off the advil pm?

Sticky sticky dust to all!

Hi Ladies,

I hope you all had a great weekend. I sure did! I went to the beach on Saturday and I went shopping yesterday. I didn't even get a chance to check my emails.

Wolffie - I am going to be transferring 2 embies, hopefully. I'm a poor responder so I'll take 2 at one shot. Twins would be exciting.

Shelbryn - Sorry, I was so busy yesterday that I didn't get a chance to come online. I went in on Sunday and my e2 was 904!!! Things are going well so far. You are so sweet for asking. I know we are all rooting for each other, but there are soo many of us it's hard to keep track of everyone. You are doing a fab job!

CT_Michele - Good for you getting your masters. I've been thinking about it more and more lately. I work at Kaplan Univerisity and they just Finally made tuition 100% covered. Once I finished my undergrad I never wanted to go back to school. Now that I'm getting a little older, I figure I probably should if I ever want to move up the corporate ladder. I plan on getting a certificate in web design and then I was considering getting my masters. I don't have an excuse anymore. I am so happy that you are finally moving along. Good luck.

Cheryl - You are PUPO. GL on Beta.

Turtle - I don't know if you're supposed to have Novocaine or not while on Lupron, but I had dental work done while I was on Lupron last cycle. They asked if I was on any drugs and I told them and they didn't say anything.

OK, AFM, I'm triggering tonight!!!!!! I went in on Sunday am and when the doctor called me he said I had 2 at 22 mm, 17, 15 and 14. They decided to stim me for one more day. I went in this am and I saw my follies during US. They look nothing like they do online. lol. I called in this afternoon to listen to results and they said I have to trigger tonight and my ER is Wednesday at 10 am. REALLY trying not to get excited. One more little victory. I'm going to my sister's tonight so she can give me the shot. DH works til midnite and I have to trigger at 11 and I would feel better if someone else did it.

I mentioned that I started feeling a little cramping on Saturday. Well, my boobs are also HUGE and so sore. I have extra fat under my arms that I call my extra boobs and those are even sore. They are way bigger than they are when I get AF. I also have lots of clear discharge. I'm assuming this is because of all the hormones. Oh I also forgot to mention how I yelled at my boss on Friday. I couldn't believe I did that. Then later that afternoon when he came to apologize, I almost started crying. I can't wait for there to be a good reason to be crazy and emotional. I had to apologize to him! I felt so bad. At least he knows and just let it go because he knew I wasn't in my right mind. lol

Well, I'll report back when there's more to tell. Good luck ladies and PMA PMA PMA!!!

Kala - LMAO!!! that is so funny that I kept scrolling down the page, and scrolling, and scrolling...... and it was the same message! LOL! I've had that happen to me before, too. I think it didn't work so I hit submit again and before i know it, I've posted the same thing 10 times (because I'm so impatient when it comes to computers!). As for the massage, I used to get a full body until I experienced a hot stone massage. OMG!!! It's wonderful! I have a lot of tension in my right shoulder and neck from having to manipulate a mouse all day and that relaxes me to the point I am jello! Last time I had one, I barely made it home and then I slept for 3 hours in the middle of the day! SO worth it!

Turtle - You are so funny! I will be thinking of you too! You are lucky though. I have to take the Follistim twice a day. So I get 3 shots starting Sat. yipee! It's cool that we are going to be so close in everything! :D I've tried melatonin before, but that was before i was trying to get preggo. It's over the counter in the vitamin section and doesn't leave me groggy the next day like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) does. As with anything new, I would ask RE first.

Cheryl - YAY!!! PUPO PUPO PUPO! I love it! Take it easy and have DH bring you some grapes and fan you (a little to the left....no, right.....ahhhhh).

Michele - Great job about the Master's. December will be here before you know it! I would love to go for mine some day, but I will have to quit work and go to school for 31 months to get mine. Don't see me doing that any time soon.

Johannanita - YAY for trigger! You'll be PUPO before you know it!

Dtao - Many (((hugs))) and well wishes coming to you for tomorrow! Good Luck!
Just got back from soccer practice and time to relax. Have a good evening!

Sorry ladies for gatecrashing!! Just a quick message for Turtle, i am a dental nurse in Ireland and here its ok to have lidocaine or other anaesthetics while on ivf meds, its also ok to have routine dental treatment carried out as long as they avoid xrays. The local anaesthetic doesnt go into your blood stream it only numbs up the area around your tooth so has no affect on your meds but i would mention it to your dentist on Wed. Also make sure you eat properly before your treatment as adrenaline can make you weak. Best of luck there is nothing worse than a toothache but they tend to flare up on times of stress.
