Alex Slept Through

Post by bubblymichelle »

Hi Everyone,

Just to let you all know Alex went in his cot for the 1st time last night. I went to Mothercare and brought a baby monitor and we thought we would try him in his cot. He was getting to big for his moses basket, even though he fit in it he couldn't stretch out or move really so we thought it was about time to change him over.

He went to bed at 22:30 and woke at 06:30 for a bottle so he slept right through. I did go in the room a few times just to check on him and he was sound asleep.

It's lovely, the best night's sleep I've had in a long time!! but weird not having him in the room with me.

Anyway must dash got to go in the shower and wash my hair, Alex got to have his needles today.

Love & Hugs

Shell

P.S and he's got to be weighed

shell, that's great news. i was just thinking this morning what will it be like when i'm not getting straight thru sleep at night! but this is really encouraging.

alex has grown out of his moses basket already!! i thought they lasted about 3/4 months.

you sound in good spirit. hope you don't mind me asking how are u now with getting around after your c section?

Hiya Everyone,

Well Alex is asleep again but I think having his jabs yesterday has knocked him about abit.

Phil - I get around great now after having the C Section, sometimes its still a little sore and I think its because I am doing things and I need to rest, its still early days I guess. The moses basket I can't believe he has grown out of it either. Lee's Mom & Dad paid £90 from Mothercare for it because it was the one I wanted and he's only been in it 8wks how bad is that. Saying that he was a big baby born he was 11lb 5oz and 59cm and now he is 13lb 14oz and 61cm so this is probably why he's grown out of it.

How is everyone doing today?

He slept again last night from 22:30 till 08:00 this morning but I still think its the jabs!! unless he's catching up on the all the sleep he asn't had before.

Love
Shell.

Shell

Glad to hear he is sleeping well.
The jabs are every mothers nightmare but he sounds as if he took them well. My friend had a big baby but she had a cradle and he could not fit into it at all. She has kept it for me so that is one less thing to buy.
Hope the sleeping contiues.
