Beta Numbers

Post by tryn4#2 »

I had my second beta today. My number didn't double.. it went from 219 to 349. I go back Sunday for my third beta.

I'm trying not to worry (but that is very hard). I am going to rest for the next couple of days. I'll post my results on Sunday.

tryn - as hard as it is, hang in there until Sunday. Your 1st number was high, so it may be that there were twins at first, but now you're down to one. That does happen!

Iamhopeful - My doctor told me she had a lady one who had an hcg of 10 who went on the have a healthy baby. I know it seems hopeless, but, however small it may seem, there IS hope. Praying for a miracle for you!

tryn4#2: Dont give up hope. I read about another lady on another post and her beta didnt double and she is pregnant. So dont give up hope. Keep that PMA. The easiest thing is to give up so dont give up. Its still going up so thats good. Try and rest over the weekend I will keep you in my prayers.

Iamhopeful: Dont get down just yet. My RE told me anything over 5 is pregnant and viable. So if it keeps going up that should be good and if it doubles that should be even better. Dogz story is proof that miracles do happen.

I am praying for you ladies. Please dont give up. PMA.

AFM: My 3rd Beta is tomorrow. I hope all goes well. Will keep you all posted.

Iamhopeful & tryin4#2 i have only read your messages and have just lit a candle for both of you its burning brightly as we speak and I pray all is ok with both of your little babies xxxx My doc on thurs said the reason the dont do betas is because people get too stressed over numbers they just want a positive pregnancy test.

FKM7733 thanks I do feel better, i had breakfast with my friend today whos is 17 wks pregant and still on crinone and she says its still the same for her so i am going to enjoy this pregnancy and relax. Best of luck with your beta i too had very small brown spotting around 7 days after transfer and still have the cramps & backache on and off.

Ladybug good luck with your 3rd beta so far so good!!

AFM my mam went to a fortune teller yesterday who was able to tell her in detail of my ivf journey incl recent m/c, she even called me by my user name gi (my full name is gina) she said that i am going thro. another cycle at the mo and says i will have a baby from a frozen egg in the very near future....... I really hope this is true!!!!!

Hello Everyone,

Im sorry I haven't been around. I've been on vacation this week, trying not to go crazy in the 2WW. WELLLLL....9 days post 5 day transfer and I took a HPT. It said YES!!!! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. I'm been feeling cramps in my lower belly for the past week, back ache, on and off head ache as well as tight stomach muscles on my sides. All that coupled with some rediculous crying jags made me think I indeed am pregnant. My Beta is scheduled for Tuesday, but I plan on doing tests the next two days to keep my confidence up. I can't wait to find out if it's one or two. I'm on a borrowed computer, but will go back through all the pages and do personals when we get home Monday.

I truly believe all of your support has gottten me here!!!

Thanks and baby dust to all!

YAY ladybug!!!! We had our 1st sono at 5 weeks 5 days, but that was because they thought I was miscarrying (no HB was detectable yet that day). My 1st sono was originally scheduled for 6 weeks 5 days. My 2nd sono was 6 weeks 2 days, and that day we saw the HB. Our 3rd sono was at 8 weeks 1 day, and we saw AND heard the HB that day, and they measured it as well. I cannot wait to hear how yours goes!!!! YAY!!!!!

Ladybug: Congrats on your great beta!!! What an awesome number. Keep us posted on your sono:)

Faith: Congrats on your +++ HPT. My beta is a day after yours and I am dying to take a HPT, but they have given me false hope in the past. Keep us posted.

gi: How can you stand the wait??? 2.5 weeks must feel like ETERNITY? They won't take you in any earlier? Thanks for the info you posted about your symptoms.

Deftonesmo: How are you doing in this terrible 2ww? My test is at 6:45 a.m. on Wed. What time is yours? My thoughts will be with you. Hopefully we will both be posting good news.

Hello Ladies,

I've been on the sept\oct thread for a while. I've been trying to catch up with you ladies. Lots going on here.

Just a quick update. I had my ET yesterday and they put two embies back in. I'm just waiting now... :D It's driving me crazy and it's only 1 day after my trans. I went and had a/c after my ET and had breakfast with DH. I just sat around all day yesterday and have been hanging around today. I feel ok expect for some cramping and I am so constipated. Sorry, I know, TMI. I'm going to call the nurse tomorrow and find out what I can do about that. I've been drinking so much liquids that I just dont understand it. I'm so scared to push. sorry again.

I wish all you ladies loads of luck and congrats to all the recent BFP! I pray we all end up with one!!!

can someone please explain to me this whole dpt and so on. All I know the second # is 3 or 5 day transfer.

fkm: Doing great in the 2ww . . . I actually dread my beta because what if it;'s a BFN? At least now, I'm still in the game :D

Johannanita: Don't be afraid to go poop :D You can't push the embies out . . . they're good to go in your uterus and ain't going anywhere =) it's just a matter if they continue to grow and hatch and attach . . . eat some pineapple (it's great for digestion and supposedly helps make your lining sticky) and poop away :D You can sneeze too :) They won't fall out ...

As far as the dp/dt . . .
dt= day transfer . . . either 3dt=3 day transfer pf 5dt=5 day transfer
if you had you transfer today, then tomorrow you would be 1 day past your transfer, or 1dp . . .i.e how may days since your ER . . .
sounds like tomorrow you might be: 1dp3dt (1 day past three day transfer) or 1dp5dt (1 day past 5 day transfer)

hope that made sense =) Good luck :D

back from vacation

Post by miyaya »

Hi ladies. Sorry I was MIA for a bit. DH and I were on vacation at Cape Cod and we had no internet access where we were. Which, I have to admit was blissful....I even read 3 books while there. That has not happened since before DS was born. Vacation was wonderful. We only had one bad day of weather and the rest was perfect. DS loved the sand, water and just being a toddler. No schedules, no worries, no problems. Perfect time. But now we are back to reality. I did go back and read the posts....so much has happened. But forgive me as its too much to catch up on personals. I am sneaking on while DS naps. Congrats to the BFPs and GL to those cycling, hugs to the BFNs.

AFM, I am finishing week 3 of BCPs and on day 6 of Lupron injections 10 units per night. I go in for supression on the 14th. I am anxious to get this over with. The more I played with DS, the more I realized I want my kids close in age.....here's to hoping this works. But as we all know, you cannot control IF....if only we could.

Have a great day and I hope to be able to catch up more now that we are back.
