Hopeful,
Yes, I began to show pretty quickly. I told my principal at 12 weeks. I am now 14 weeks w/am apparent "bump". How cute though. I am buying my clothing in stages. For awhile some cloths fit & then to tight - especially what you wear on the bottom half. My breasts have increased in size as well.
How are you feeling? I was terribly ill till I hit the 12 week mark. Good luck at school.

Hi ladies- have a super day.

Hopeful:

You do not have to tell your school anything. HOnestly, nobody else notices bumps like we do on ourselves. I always wore oversized shirts with my skirts so nobody noticed the top button was undone. What gave it away for me was the morning sickness in the bathroom right outside the principal's office. very big giveaway. enjoy "hiding' your bump right now.

Have a great first day of school!

Dear Hopeful,
sorry to read about the loss of one embryo. Do hope your twins continue to grow and develop by leaps and bounds from here on out!
I think the initial weight gain, (fortunately/unfortunately??) just looks like that - weight gain. At least it did with me. It will probably be a few weeks till it looks more like a pregnancy bump. People may wonder, but I don't think it is as obvious as you think - like gigi said....
I also wore things looser on top and looped a hair tie around the buttonhole of my pants to extend the waist of my pants to reach the button --
Enjoy being back to school!

Gigi - thinking of you. Hoping the MRI goes well and that your transfer goes very smoothly! By the end of the week you will be PUPO!! You really can't compare the DE eggs to your own. Like many of us, you've gone to DE because your eggs just weren't able to produce a viable pregnancy and the success rate for DE is much higher. Just look at all the BFPs we have right now, and all the twins on the way!

To all the recent BFP girls - Hope you are doing well and are keeping the morning sickness at bay. All the best with your upcoming scans! A while ago, chriss started a pregnant with DE thread on the pg. after tmt board, feel free to also post there if you wish!

Poohgirl - hope your lining is doing well. Keep up that PMA. Wishing your donor good luck with her cycle!

Clemo - feel better soon!!!!!!! Saw my regular ob/gyn yesterday and she said she knows exactly what we are having, but won't tell (because all along we've said we don't want to know) -- She said my DH has waited this long to find out, he can wait a few more weeks to see it all in person...

Sabi- hope you get that nice burst of 2nd trimester energy. Do take advantage if you do, as the tiredness comes back in the 3rd...Do your best to set priorities, but not unrealistic expectations. Don't expect to be able to get everything done like you used to, you'll only get disappointed and frustrated. Enlist help whenever possible!!

to chriss, carolyn, kelly, jenB and anyone else I might have missed - hope you are all doing well.

I have just about 5 weeks to go. So far, so good. The baby weighs just over 2000 grams, which is on target for its age. It is breech at the moment, but still has a few weeks to turn, if it is going to do that...
In other news, my MIL is in the hospital - so things have been a bit more stressful than we would have liked them to be at this point. But, we just try to remain calm and think positively.

I will keep checking in as often as I can to see how you are all doing. I am certainly thinking of you and continue to hope that you will all have the same unbelievably good fortune to realize your dreams of welcoming a baby into your family.

This thread is busting wide open. All the great news.

Hopeful, sorry to hear about one of the three embryos. Put all the PMA you have on those other two. What were your first beta numbers? I got my second number today and it is extremely high - 2114. They are not going to do a scan until 9/28. Seems forever.

Gigi, know what you mean about clothes getting tighter. I hope your son's MRI turned out okay. 5 embyros is good. I agree with Summer, DE are much better eggs than our own.

Summer, good idea about the hair band on the pants. I'm going to try it. I can't keep buying a bigger size - at least until we tell everyone. Not much longer to hold that baby in your arms. I admire you and DH for holding out on baby sex. Not many can do that. Hope your MIL is doing better.

Stef, I hope your prog levels are exactly what your OB/GYN wants to see. That is just next week, and you get to see that first scan.

Poohgirl, when is your transfer. Sending lots of sticky baby dust your way.

JDC, was your scan today? Hope it turned out great.

Thanks for all the positive feedback.

Hopeful - I don't know what the fashion is like where you are but here in Oz flowy tops are in all the shops so good for hiding expanding tummy's!

Summer - Sorry to hear about your MIL. I hope she's ok. Glad that your bub is growing nicely.

Kim - Great beta!!! Hope time goes quick for your scan. How are you feeling?

Gigi - Good luck with your tx.

Poohgirl - Only 1 wk till your scan and then your donor can start!

AFM - Just waiting, waiting, waiting for our last counselling session next wed.....

Thank you all for your advice and sympathy. I think Gigi and Summer are correct, I notice it more than others will, but I think others are wondering.

Babyblue - Great second beta, CONGRATS!!! If I remember correctly my second was 1127. How many did you transfer?!

Gigi - how did your son's MRI go ... keeping my fingers crossed for you. Good luck on your transfer! I already told my principal and VP's. They promised to keep it quiet and are being very supportive.

Sabi - gladd to hear you are feeling better in the second trimester, wow, how time is flying. I've been lucky and haven't been sick, so I really shouldn't be complaining about anything.

Summer - I'm sorry to hear about your MIL, is she doing better?

Clemo - I know time seems to be dragging, but you are almost there.

Hello to everyone else ... I hope you are all doing well and none of our recent BFP are feeling sick!

Hi Ladies:

Hopeful; Thanks for asking. Not the news we wanted for my son's MRI. found a nodule at bottom of his skull and need brain MRI now to see more. Poor little guy is a trooper and is acting fine though.

Summer: Hang in there with MIL. It's never good timing is it when someone gets sick? Hopefully DH is doing okay too.

Clemo: Wow, you have another counseling session? that is pretty thorough. Hope is helpful for you all. Is your cousin with you for that session?

ASFM: We did the transfer yesterday. We transferred 2 embies. One is 10 cell and one is 8 cell. I ran in by myself, ran out quickly to get kiddos from friends watching them. No rest or laying down for me. No time. Interesting experiment to see if the lay for 3 day rest thing is necessary or not.

Hopeful - Good to hear that m/s has not come to you yet!

Gigi - I'm sorry about your sons mri results. I hope the next one shows nothing more to worry about.
Glad your transfer went well. My FS says it's not necessary to lie down afterwards. And that seems to be true for me, as for both of my bfp's I was straight back to work after transfer. I actually went camping a day after the 1st one!
This 2nd and last counselling session is mainly to make sure we're all sure with what we're doing and to sign consent forms. They like to have a 2wk break inbetween the 2 sessions so you have time to think things through. Yes, my cousin and my DH have to attend this one aswell. They will see my cousin and my dh and I seperately then bring my cousin in to sign the forms.

Hi to everyone.

Gigi, I am sorry that your son's MRI didn't go so well. It really puts all the other minor worries and irritations with cycling into perspective. There was a study in India that showed it was better to have no rest and proceed as normal. Hope your 2ww goes by quickly. G/L

Clemo, glad to hear you are almost through the counseling and consent process. When will you begin cycling?

Summer, sorry to hear about MIL. You must like her or it wouldn't bother you to have her out of the way! Just kidding, I like mine as well. I hope the next few weeks go smoothly for you, not too long now.

Hopeful, How are you getting along? I can understand feeling fat before anyone notices. My clothes do not fit right, even though my weight is the same.

AFM, Yesterday I went to the clinic to pick up more PIO, while I was waiting I went to the OB/GYN office and asked about the pain I am having around my left ovary. For the last 3-4 days I have had a low dull ache, stretching and sometimes jabbing pains only around my left ovary. So they had me go back and do a scan, they had a hard time seeing my left ovary at first. When they did find it, everything looked fine. Little Bean in my uterous is looking good. She told me to just keep my appt next week and not to worry unless I am having severe pain or start bleeding. I still have the same symptoms, so hopefully it is nothing. Of course I spent last evening looking up heteroectopics and having lots of bad thoughts.
I know, I know, I am completely obsessive and need to chill!!

Gigi, sorry to hear about the reading on your son's MRI. Hopeful that the next MRI will be much better news. How old is your son? Was he having some type of symptoms to make the Dr. request an MRI initially? Sounds like you had two really good eggs transferred. You made me laugh about the "in and out-of-there" on your transfer. My RE has always requested bedrest, so I have nothing to compare. Were your eggs 3day or 5 day transfers?

Clemo, our wait for the 1st scan seems a longer and more anxious wait than the 2ww. I have been feeling fine. I went in for bloodwork again this morning, and asked nurse about morning sickness. If you are going to be sick, usually when does it hit? She couldn't answer, said everybody is different. I didn't have any sickness with my DS but that was 10 years ago. I was afraid that the way my HcG numbers are going (high), it would bring on morning sickness (knock on wood) but so far I feel fine - well fat but fine.

Hopeful, how is school going? Getting tired before the end of the day? My trips to RE are 2 hours one-way, and it is all I can do to stay awake there and back. Noticing that I am more tired in the afternoons. Funny, I teach also, but adults. I am an instructor at a nuclear facility. Glad to hear that your not sick. Being about a week out in front of me (I think), I have been looking to you like a big sister. We transferred three good 5-day embies.

Poohgirl, not much longer. Have they given you any idea how long it will take the donor to build up the eggs for retrieval?

Sabi, second trimester already! Glad things are moving along smoothly.

Stef, have you heard anything else on your prog. levels?

Had third HCG levels tested this morning. Waiting on results. I wish I could decrease my progesterone, it is making me so dizzy, and my hips are killing me.

To all the others, hope you are doing fine.

Stef - I'm hoping to start our cycle in Oct. By that I mean going on the pill to get my cousin and I in sync. So I would say we'll be on that for 3 weeks and then my cousin will start stimming. So epu will be Nov sometime.

That's great that you got an early scan. Stay away from DR Google!!!! No really, I'm all for being well informed but scaring yourself unnecesarily is no fun at all. Try to enjoy it sweetie.

Kim - Wow 3 embies! Do you have a feeling about how many may have stuck? Lets hope you get away with no m/s at all. How lovely.

It's great that there's been such a good run of bfp's in this group. Next is Gigi and Poohgirl. Are there any other girls cycling or waiting to cycle at the moment?

Hi everyone!!

Looks like everyone is doing well!
Sabi, carolyn--it is hard to believe you guys are in the 2nd trimester it feels like yesterday you were getting your BFP!!

Hopeful--I am sorry about the lost of one of your embies, nice that you still have the twins but sad none the less, are the twins you have left the indentical ones?

Summer it is hard to believe that you will be having that baby soon--I am getting excited, while I am sure you are ready to go anytime now!

Gigi when do you test?? How are you feeling??

Kim--how are you feeling? Do you have a scan coming up?

clemo--starting BCP feels like you are doing something then time just flies!

I am sorry I know I am forgetting people but I am thinking about everyone!

AFM-Had my scan this AM and everything was perfect!!! :D The fluid they saw last time is gone and my lining is 8.8mm with only half the dose of estrogen. My Donor start stemming today :D :D :D They expect her to stem for about 11 days retrieval on day 13 (about the 26th of this month) and transfer 5 days later so I guess that to be around the 2 or3rd of Oct. Beta on the 12th or so!! So today is a good day! Now back to work!

Carolyn, yes I am very tired. Working 40+ hours, all I want to do is nap when I get home. I know what you mean just wishing your days away waiting on your scan. Mine is 9/30 and it seems an eternity.

Poohgirl, it has been very quiet lately. I'm feeling fine. Matter of fact if I wasn't tired I would be worrying that I'm not pregnant any more. Oh yeah, I'm out growing all my pants. My belly is unreal and I'll be 6 wks Thursday. Thank heavens the latest fashion is smock tops. I was wearing a size 12 pants. Went to 14s. Then someone gave me a (nice) pair of 16s and I have them pinned open at the waist today, but it looks like I lost my butt. I don't think we are going to be able to hide this until 8 weeks. My scan is not for 2 more weeks.

To anyone - what or who is AFM?

Also, my sister just called me and my nephew has Swine flu. She takes him and my son to school each morning. I have now got myself so worked up over this. Dummy me I went and read the web sites on pregnancy and Swine flu. Not good! We pregnant ladies are considered "...one of the high risk groups taking priority for vaccination since they are more likely to have an adverse outcome if they contract the disease." And the first batch of these vaccine are not due out until October in the US. Any of your RE's or OB's giving you advise on this?

One great blessing - no m/s! Just very dizzy from all the progesterone and estrogen.

Take care all,
Kim

Poohgirl - That's fabulous news that you're ready to go!!! Glad to hear the fluid went away by itself. So, bring on the stimming. Make sure your keep us updated on how your donor is going. Do you know your donor?

Carolyn - Only a holiday to Phuket left for me this year! We leave in 14 days - not that I'm counting!!! :D I hope the next 4 wks go quick for you so you can see your miracle again.

Kim - AFM = as for me. So when you're updating on yourself you say "as for me".
Good to hear your belly is growing. It makes it seem more real. I hope the next 2 weeks go quick for you.
I'm sorry to hear your nephew has swine flu. I can imagine you must be worried. I would definately talk to your Dr and see what they have to say.

AFM - My final counselling session was cancelled from today and changed to next wednesday. So that's a bit frustrating. My cuz and I still have our nurses app on Friday to plan the cycle, so that's good. I'm dying to get the cycle dates to have something to look forward to. I like to be organised!!!!!

Hi to everyone :) .
