Kala – super swimmer dust comin’ at cha!

CJsmom – Welcome to our ‘family’! Before you know it, you’ll be a pro on IVF! Sorry to hear about your DH accident. So glad he’s ok. Any questions you have just type away and I’m sure one of us can help you out!

Katie – I can understand your clinic’s perspective on the labs, but geez…. It’s hard enough going into this type of procedure, let alone going in totally blind. They are keeping your personal information from you. You know as well as I do that you have the right to know, so if you want it, go get it! I wouldn’t worry about what they think, it’s your body and your baby! My clinic leaves a voicemail the evening of any test and I can look it up online. Good luck and if that is what you want, stand your ground. I’m right behind you (thru the computer of course).

Stlgirl – GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Lady J – GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Bei – Just lean on us Chickie!

Sancap – Great news about your “oven”. Sounds like a great home for a little embie! It’s hard to deal with the infertility and the guilt. DH and I have talked about it and we have decided that no matter what, we are not going to mention that it is anyone’s fault. I’m just afraid that it will cause a stir or problems. He knows that I love him no matter what and we will get thru this. As for getting rid of the emotions, run thru the yard naked screaming, ‘The aliens are coming!’ and that will get your mind off things. Not to mention make you the talk of the neighborhood. You won’t have to worry so much about sperm samples or lining checks! LOL! (Sorry, I’m warped sometimes). Try this website and see if it helps you any: http://www.fertilitycommunity.com/ferti ... evels.html. Is 9/16 your stim start date? OMG about the show! How cool is that?!

AFM – RE appt. today went great! I have a triple stripe!!! I’ve read so many positive outcome stories on the TS and I am so happy! Trying not to get my hopes too high, but woohoo! On my FET in May, I had one and got pregnant. Maybe this will have a better outcome with the embie! I go back on Saturday. Hope to trigger on Sunday or Monday. My RE is gone to another office on Mondays and Thursdays so I hope to have retrieval on Tues. or Wed. of next week.

Hello everyone,
I am also new to these message boards. I am 38 and starting my 2nd IVF cycle. I am concerned because I tend to not respond to stim meds. With my 1st IVF cycle, I made only 3 follicles, 2 of which fertilized. I guess it's true that you just need 1 because I have my beautiful 1 yr old baby girl to prove it. The problem this time is that it is my 6th day on high doses of gonal f and menopure and I have only 1 small follicle in the left ovary and NOTHING in the right. My dr. keeps saying it's still early, but I can't help worrying.

akowens - WELCOME! Glad you are joining us! This thread is incredibly supportive and the PMA positive mental attitude) is infections! It is hard to be down and out with these ladies but if and when that happens we are all here to lift you up too!

Lady J - I hope all went well today.

stlgirl - fill us in on your FET! How did everything go?

kala - how did things go with your dh? I am praying for lots and lots and lots of strong healthy swimmers for you guys!

cjsmom - WELCOME! I know the whole thought of IVF canbe very overwhelming. It will get easier once you do your first injection. I PROMISE! Everything seemes so sureal until the injections start and then you'll be an old pro. Ask us any questions you would like. We're excited to have you on the BFP bandwagon!

katie - my RE office tells me all my labs. I don't have to ask. I do like that they tell me b/c then I feel like i am part of the process. I understand why they are making the decisions they make and I have something to compare to at every visit. If you want to know your labs you have every right. Stay strong and don't worry about pushing people around. Like Shelby said, it's your body and your baby!!!

sancap - so SWEET about participating in the reality show. You will have to let us all know when it will air.

shelby - WAHOO for a triple stripe! That term just sounds awesome! I was never told if I had/have one and now I wanna know!!!! Are you getting nervous for the retrieval?

teachermom - WELCOME! So glad to have you here! How much longer do they plan on having you stim?

AFM, going to acupuncture today after work. Transfer is on Saturday. Please say some prayers that my little totsicles survive the thaw and make it safely 'home'. I am getting antsy and it doesn't help that my dh is driving me crazy. He is a firefigher and works 24 hour shifts. So he starts at 8am on friday but won't be home until about 8:30am on Saturday. Since I don't know what time the transfer will be he isn't sure what to do about work. On the FD it's not like he can just take a vacation day ro a sick day. He hasn't asked anyone to come in early for him yet and he hasn't figured out what he is going to do. If it were me I would have this all figured out already. Sometimes he is just so laid back that it drives me crazy. I feel like he isn't taking this cycle as seriously b/c it's a frozen over fresh cycle and b/c we already have our son. This will probably be our last shot and it is on my mind constantly! oh, AND he is going to a friends bachelor party the evening of my transfer! It is a really good friend who took him to vegas for his bachelor party so my dh feels obligated. I am torn with my emotions about it. My ds will be with my MIL so I'll be taking care of mysel fbut it would be nice to have someone doting on me. Okay....just had to vent! Thanks for 'listening'

Here I come...over from the July/August thread. Hope you don't mind me jumping in late here. I went to the RE yesterday and got the new game plan. I have a FET scheduled for October 16th. It is so cool that I can pick and date and they work back from that. This is so much better then being monitored everyday and having to jump when they say it is time. I get to have the entire weekend to lay around and have my DH wait on me hand and foot. Last time I had to be in a wedding the day after my ET. That made for one boring and alcohol free reception!

So we had a chemical in August with my first attempt at IVF. The RE says my lining looked good, so it seems like there was just some chromosomal prob with the embie. We did PGD for 12 chromosomes, but there could have been a problem in the ones not tested. I guess the one they put in was grade 5AA which had 70% chance on working. We have 2 frosties left. We are going to give this 2 more tries. One embie each over 2 FET's. These embies aren't as great in quality, but he still thinks I have about a 60% chance with them. They can get lower scores and still be good since they have been messed with during the PDG and we know they are pretty good genetic quality. A scary thing is that one of my discarded embies was a 5AA and had trisomy 18. Imagine without PGD they may have put that one in. I know God's hand is in all this and everything happens for a reason.
Anyway, I know this October FET will be it. Funny thing I just realized. We are putting in day 6 blasts on the 16th. That would make my conception date October 10th, which is my 32nd birthday. So I know God will be giving me a very special b-day present this year.

Wolffie - LOL about the posts! Actually, I'm not nervous about the actual retrieval, just the quality of the eggs they get. I'll be more nervous after the retrieval to hear the fert report. My lining was an 11 today and I still have about the same amount of follies just bigger. You are in my thoughts and prayers for Saturday. What time do you go in?

My doctor hasn't said anything about how long I'll be on the meds at this point. I was due to have my retrieval on Wednesday the 16th and transfer on the 19th, but that's not going to happen now.

Teachermom - Thanks for joining us! After reading your story, I just want to ask you not give up! I know you are not thinking that it will work this time, but He has a plan for you and that plan will work! Unfortunately, it's not always when we want it to. You may only have one follicle because your body is busy trying to make the perfect one! We understand the hard road that IVF is on and we will try to help in anyway we can. (((Hugs)))

Shelby-glad ur feeling better and the YI is going away. Good idea on the house keeping, I should do the same. Yay for diving….i wish I could go too. I love diving. Way to go on the triple stripe! Wooooohooooo!

Stlgirl and LadyJ- good luck today! Sticky dust and prayers your way1

Deftonesmo: Jeeze, you are calm….maybe it’s cuz we r all freakin out for you ☺. Still praying for you

Teachermom: welcome…wow another teacher!? Your beautiful baby girl gives me hope! Also…GROW FOLLIES GROW!!!

GI: GOOD LUCK!!!

Lisa10-wlecome.!! This is a board full of PMA and lots BFPs.

Akowens: Welcome! GL w/ the stims. Did you take Lupron? I know about the money thing. We are doing it in Serbia, (for $4000…I thought it was $2000, but w/ ICSI it is $4000) and I can barely cover it. We might have to barrow money from FIL.

Cjs mom: welcome! Wow …how in the world does a metal plate affect sperm? My DH has quite a few metal plates (car accident also). My DH took comid too. He has been on it since February and has been VERY hormonal. I watch IVF stories on youtube too. But I try not to anymore, cuz I always end up crying when it comes to the one where they have a baby.

KIWI-YAY on all those follies…keep up the good work!

Katie99-I always ask for my lab results….it is your right to know. I cant think of other labwork to ask for, I think you covered it. I leave for Serbia on the 22nd….OMG!!!! lol…shouldn’t we all be working now…it seems like every break I get, I am refreshing this darn screen. And Im writing this while the kids are taking a test.

J&C- I decided not to keep my IVF private since Ill be gone for a whole month. I announced it at the staff meeting last week. SCAREY stuff, but it turns out everyone is so excited while im a nervous wreak so it helps me stay positive. The only thing that will suck is if things don’t work out and everyone will see my flat belly for months to come ☹ …and I want to wait three months to tell anyone.

Wolffie: prayers for your totsicles…hang in there! Hope DH figure things out. As for transfer night….have some girlfriends over for icecream and movies ☺ lol…im not the only one who gets inpatient with that darn submit button.

Sancap; that is so cool ur going to be on tv. I wanted to be on a baby story (TLC), but you have to live near NJ. You don’t have to answer this, but, do they pay you for the interview? That would be nice. Thanks for sending manly dust (lol)

Johannanita-thanks for the advice about Advil…ill stick to Tylenol. Lol about DH being a boob man…mine is too and he was disappointed the BCP didn’t make them bigger, but I will tell them he has somethimg to look forward to later on in this process.

AFM- thanks for all the vitamin advice and super swimmer dust… Ya’ll rock!!! My lupron came today….yay!!! I cant wait to get this started. My DH called and said they found a few swimmers, but the are still looking. I hope the little guys are singing “Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming” .

Thank you shelbyrn0214 for the welcome back! I praying for nothing but BFP's on this board. I have my mock embryo transfer tomorrow, then I stop by BCP next friday. I have the estrogen shots for two weeks and then Transfer date of my two frozen embies on October 8 and the pregnacy test on October 22nd. My clinic's rate for FET is only 30% but it don't matter because my help comes from teh lord. :) These embies have been on ice since 2005 so please pray for my babies :) to make it :) Nothing but BFP's everyone! Have a wonderful day everyone
