Shelby-Thanks for your kind words! I LOVE thinking that my body is busy trying to make the perfect egg. I will focus on that! :)

Kala- Thanks for the folli wishes. Just got the call that they are upping my meds a little, so maybe that will help too :)

kala0704- ya know...I've told probably 5 people about the show and each one automatically asked if I would get paid for it...I didn't even think to ask but now I am very curious. Wouldn't it be nice to get a little extra $$ to help pay for the monumental bills of IVF...Lord knows it would. I will let you know as soon as I know more. I'm already thinking about how I could give a "shout out" to my new Forum friends!!

shelbyrn0214- I love the way you think...about making one really good follicle...I will take lessons from your PMA!!

wolffie- Your DH sounds exactly like my DH! We had our appt. today and he refused to read any of the paperwork. I hope our DH's starts to get a little more serious. After I was done with my uterus check thing, he hadn't been called for his sperm sample yet and he said "oh, I must not have an appointment scheduled" yeah right! Like I'm gonna let him get away w/ that shiznit! There have been times before too that he said he would go with me to my appt. and he backs out at the last minute because of work...hopefully that won't happen again. I will be thinking about you on Saturday and I hope he makes it in with you somehow! Hughs.

Lisa10- welcome! Good luck to you and had a question for you re: genetic testing...how did you decide to go ahead with that? Did you have reason to believe you there was a good chance there might be abnormalities or were you just taking precautions? We've been thinking about doing it but we are still deciding.

hi everyone!

wow this board is getting so busy!! WELCOME to all the newbies!! whats our count at now?? shelby???

katie- i dont know anything about my lab work or my ultrasounds. i have no idea if everything is going good or what. i was ok with it at first, but i'm starting to not like being left in the dark. all i get is a call from the nurse the day i have b/w or an u/s done with my next set of instructions. then i just do that until i get my next phone call. i'm so sorry you have had cancelled cycles in the past. how far along were you when they were cancelled? ive never even heard of any of the terms you used in your post about lab results....and i thought i was getting to be a pro at this....anyway i hope this is your cycle and i'm sending you good vibes!!!

shelby- how are you? i cant believe how close you are getting woohoo!!!! what is a stripe and what does it mean to have a triple one?? just when i think i understand all this stuff i realize i have no clue! haha

ladyj- good luck sweetie!!!!!!!!!!

wolfie- that is GREAT NEWS!! i will be sending your tots happy thawing vibes!!! good luck on saturday.

AFM- i went back in for more bloodwork today. i was told i was going to have an ultrasound too, but when i got there this morning the ultrasound tech told me she only had me down for bloodwork. which is fine by me trust me haha, but i would think they would need an ultrasound too by this point. so i got a call this afternoon telling me to keep on the lupron, repronex, and up my gonal-f again to 300 units. then i go back again on saturday for more sticks (and maybe stirs). i have no idea how far along i am or how many follicles i am growing or when i'll have my ER. i'm hoping everything is ok.
:?

i also decided not to take the antibiotic from my root canal. i called my dentist and he said i didnt need to take it, and that he just gave it to me just incase i needed it. so i decided my tooth feels better (a little sore) but i think i'll be ok without it and i didnt want to risk mixing more meds into my world.

oh i have a question too...the first day i took my repronex i was fine, but i took it last night and i woke up this morning with redness and a little swelling at the injection site. i know this is something that happens and i shouldnt be too worried about it, but i was wondering if anyone had any tricks to make this not happen again? i already have a hard time finding a place on my tummy for all these shots, i dont have room to start avoiding big red spots all over me!!

oh, geez, guys thanks so much for the warmest welcome here! it really is great to feel cared about, because "normal, fertile people" can't understand. anyway, i have so many questions since i'm totally new to ivf. i am a nurse, but ivf is still so foreign to me. i have tons of questions. since i know you all are so knowledgable...i'm just going to ask some of my deepest questions that the MD won't give opinions about.

first i only have 9 antral follicles and i'm 26. isn't this not very many?
my E2 was < 25 and P4 was 0.5 and my FSH is 4.3. these are good, right?
i'm so concerned about implantation because i've always spotted from 7 dpo until my period. like a lot of spotting. will the progesterone supp help with this?
is bravelle 225 and menopur 75 a pretty standard dose for stims?

and now to talk about you ladies. i'm still trying to figure out everyone and where they are with their ivf cycles or fet cycles.

to answer one question, i did do lupron 10 units and now i'm down to 5.

katie- i'm right there with ya, let's have a good attitude! and i always get my lab results. it is just like a way to feel like we have SOME control, even when we kind of don't

shelby- thanks for the warm welcome. i know you all will be so supportive and help me with learning all about the torturous rollercoaster of emotions.

wolffie- also thanks for the warm welcome.

cjsmom- i'm with ya, new to ivf. i know we can relate to each other, and let's hope the first is a success!

thanks again, ladies.

baby dust to all
ashley
oh, and i'm from utah and have found a group of mds that do ivf for 8000. and their success rates are amazing. last cycle they had 14 of 15 get pregnant. so i'm hopeful.

OMG! You guys type too fast for me to ever keep up!

deftones -CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! :D :D :D With a beta like that I dont know how many smileys to put!

shelby - hooray for triple stripe!! I remember ghost saying once that ivf is 50/50 half embie & half lining. Yipeee!

teachermom -We've got a boatload of teachers around here! The more the merrier! my fingers are crossed for you! sometimes all it takes is an increase in meds! Good luck to you!

wolffie -exactly! I dont feel like i'm a part of the process. But that will change this time! wishing you a safe healthy thaw! sat is so close!!

lisa -welcome! nice to see you again! GL with your FET! that would be the best b-day present ever!

kala -OMG! Your whole cycle costs less than just my meds! You smart girl! How far away is Serbia .....

Franny -I'm so happy that you checked with your RE. I got worried for you there. OK a triple stripe refers to 3 layers of endometrium - its ideally what we all want. sorry I've never taken repronex, but i get the same reaction from ganirelix though, I was told it has to do with what the med's base is. I just deal with it & try to not scratch, try icing it. You asked when I was cancelled? In june it was day 8 of stims, and aug was day 13 of stims both times due to having 1 big follie that kind of "took over" its called a dominant follie, it better not happen again - he he

akowens -Its true, ivf can be very isolating. Its hard for us to understand it, impossible for someone who hasnt been through it. Anyway we are glad you found us! I'm a nurse too (LPN) Not that its helped any with ivf (except injections) he he - Your RE will adjust your meds as you go along. Your E2, FSH & P4 sound great. Utah, huh? Well if it doesnt work this time I guess Utah is the right answer, its like half price compared to here! I'm so jealous! There are a few nurses around here, so ask away!

hugs & PMA for us all!! - xoxo

LadyJ & Stlgirl - I hope your ET went great today :D

Katie - You are so hilarious! BTW, you think they would give us discount on the plane tickets to Serbia if we bought them in bulk? We can all stay with Kala! he..he..

Turtle - I've had the same instance with Ganirelix that Katie has. It itches like crazy, but it will eventually stop. And I've counted 41 of us now! WOW  Isn't that great?! We have a large group of supporters!

Fitzjr & Cheekyone - Good Luck tomorrow! BFP BFP BFP

akowens - sounds like you got your hands on a good clinic. I wish you so much luck! Your labs sound good. I'm not familiar with the stims you are taking as I have only taken Follistim.

Tonyacheek - Lots of luck on the mock transfer tomorrow! And sending you plenty of survive the thaw dust!

Kala
- Do you dive? Isn't it the most amazing thing?! I would do it everyday if I could. It's a whole different world underwater. I am totally out of my element and not the top of the food chain when I'm diving, but the scenery is amazing and it's so relaxing!

AWWW SHELBY - You just made me blow sprite out of my nose! Ow, it burns! If we bought tix in bulk, can you imagine how much business we could bring them? I'm in. But we''ll need a translator. You think i'm funny? you just burned my nose! You just wait til you get Gi going! She's a riot! - xoxo

akowens - AWESOME!!! Yes ma'am. I love to scube dive. DH and I volunteer dive at our local aquarium once a month. That's pretty cool! The sharks will come right up to you! When did you go to Cozumel? We went in the summer of 2007 right after we got my 2 'bonus sons' certified. They are 16 and 12 and love it about as much as I do! DH and I went shark tooth diving in FL and to Cayman Brac in 2006. If you have not been to Cayman, you MUST go! The diving is absolutely gorgeous! It's not big on things for kids to do, but it's great for adults who love to relax. We want to go to the Honduras, Turks & Caicos, and Belize. Sucks about not being able to dive for nine months, but it'll be worth it to 'make' another future dive partner!
