Hi everyone -

Well I finally have good timing for a change. I took the last bcp yesterday, and AF showed up last night. Good timing, but what if I wasnt due to stop bcp yesterday? Oh well, it worked out well regardless. :D

cheeky -I'm cramping up from being crossed for you! Cant wait to hear my friend!

wolffie -You funny girl! I'm sorry that your DH wont be around for your FET, but having BFF is definitely a great subsitute!

akowens -Was that price including meds? fantastic!

ray of sunshine - Oh, no this time I WILL get all my labs! How do you know that you only have 10 days to stim? They've got me slotted for 13/14 again but who knows?

lisa -That was a rough cycle for you. I hope this FET goes much smoother for you!

johannanita - Wishing you loads of patience & sticky dust, Dolly Parton! he he

stlgirl / lady j - YAY PUPO!! now go relax!

sangria -Your DH sounds like mine, he's been asking about names since we started ttc 2 yrs ago! men are so funny sometimes

Hope that you all have a good day. Hugs & PMA to all! xoxo

SHELBY

i'm from utah...not easy to get out and dive..pretty land-locked!

so ladies tell me if it is normal to already be feeling "ovary pain" on day 2 of stims?? last night i was feeling so bloated? normal, right?

i'm excited for my next scan and bw. that's coming up monday.

so what's a good E2 level for day 6 of stims?

i hate having to ask so many questions.

thanks ladies. i'm still so shocked at all the people that have gotten their bfps on this board....crazy.

hey ladies! sorry i've been out of the loop for a few days. i'll do personals when i get caught up. i'm praying for today's betas, upcoming transfers/thaws. congrats to all the BFPs! we are on a roll :D

for those of you ladies who are currently stimming, please beware of OHSS. i am still struggling with it and it is awful! i have had the fluid in my abdomen aspirated 3x now. it is getting better b/c there is not as much fluid, but i still feel like crap. my ovaries are finally going down so everyday is a little easier. my doctor won't give me clearance to work, but i can't afford not to especially now that i'm pregnant. i haven't had my job for six months yet. so i have been just chilling in my office with my feet up.

i didn't follow my docs advice about transferring only one embie b/c we wanted to try for twins. he suspects that i am having twins which is why the OHSS is so bad (the higher the HCG the worse the sx of OHSS). so, if you believe you have a good doc, try and listen to him/her. i don't regret my decision at all, but i am definitely paying for it.

Mjay - glad to hear that you are at least getting better. You're in my thoughts. Twins! WOW! :D :D

Akowens - My E2 was 345 on day 6. I guess that's good?? Last fresh cycle it was 702 and I got a BFN. Hope things are going better this time. And don't hesitate for a minute to ask hundreds of questions! :D

Hi everyone,
It's so hard to keep up with everyone! There's so much good wishes and support! I love it! This is a good place to be :) Good luck to everyone at every stage.
My Doctor wants to see me Sunday morning to decide whether the increase to 450 of gonal f in the morning and the 150 at night along with 150 of menopure is working. If I still have just the 1 follicle he will want to discontinue this cycle. :( He mentioned trying the next cycle without the use of BCP and estrace and going straight to stims after my period. Has anyone done this with any success of producing eggs?
Rayofsunshine- I am unfortunately not teaching at the moment. I live in New York and just about every district here excessed a bunch of teachers at the end of the year last year. I was the last one they cut on the list in our district. :( So, on top of IVF frustrations, I am dealing with not having a job. I am supposed to be getting a leave replacement that starts in October and goes to the end of the school year. It's been very disheartening.

It is really hard to keep up with ya'll!

mjay - glad you are feeling somewhat better. I hope that as each day passes you'll start to feel better and better. my dh and I are hoping for twins too. This FET will be our last shot and we really want 3 kiddos. Don't get me wrong, we will be estatic with one but then we know we will stop with two.

akowens - I can't remember exactly how I felt on day two of stimming since it was nearly two years ago now that I did a fresh cycle. However, I do remember towards the end having to unbutton my pants driving home from work b/c they were just getting so tight with the bloating.

malya - I'm thinking about you today! I hope your embies made it through! I can't wait to hear how things went!

stlgirl - I'm SO glad your little ones made it and are back with their mama!

Sangria - I'm in Chi too! I don't dive but I know that the Shedd has a tank that they let volunteers dive in to feed. BTW, I'm not a fan of the name Scott either.

Lady J - YAY! Take acre of yourself and your little frostie now!

Johannanita - where did you find your chart on what the embies should be doing each day?

AFM, I just got the call from the IVF nurse. My arrival time tomorrow is 8am! So, this time tomorrow I will be PUPO!!! I hope my dh can figure out someone to come in early for him at work. I can't tell you how upset I will be if he can't. His response to me when I just called him was, "we'll see what I can do". COME ON! How is it that men can be so insensitive sometimes? I know he doesn't mean it and sometimes he doesn't realize the way things come out.

teachermom - my first cycle sounds much like yours and now on my second we changed it up to an Antagon cycle which sounds like what your Doc is talking about. I didn't do BCP's but just had to figure out when I was ovulating then did the estrace and oh geese, some other injectable I can't off had remember the name. Then a few days later I started my stims, but this time no lupron but Bravelle and Menapour added. Results were much better in terms of producing mature eggs and as of last Sunday, my second Beta came back at 596. Hang in there!!

mjay - did your doctor really only recommend one egg transfer? I think that is kind of silly. What my doctor does is right after retrieval put me on 10 days of fluid restriction (1 liter per day). This immediately helps with the fluid. This second time we did only 3 days and after transfer we did find some fluid build up (not enough he thought to tap) but he did put me back on fluid restriction (about 7 days now) and I'm feeling unbelievablely better! For your own sake, maybe limit your fluids, but make sure you are drinking either Gatorade or Smart Water to keep the electrolytes flowing so you don't dehydrate. My only 2 cents I can offer since we transfered 3 due to 2 being great and the third mediocore but not good enough to freeze.

Wolffie - Here you go
3 Day Transfer:

1dpt... Embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt... Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt... Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt... Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt... Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt... Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt... Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt... HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

5 Day Transfer (if your transfer is done on the 6th day please adjust according to the timeline based upon how the embryo was doing by 1-2 days {e.g. blastocyst was hatching from the shell}):

-1dpt... Embryo is growing and developing
0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
1dpt... Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
2dpt... Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3dpt... Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4dpt... Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5dpt... Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
6dpt... Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
7dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9dpt... HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on
HPT

I've seen this info on this site before, but I was doing some "research" last night and came across this site.

There was ridiculous amounts of information on this site. Hope it helps.

wolfie- husbands mean well....they really do, but sometimes they just dont get it. hopefully he will realize how important tomorrow is for BOTH of you and he will do the right thing. sometimes it takes them a little bit to realize what the right thing is, but i'm sure he will make the right choice! my dh has been wonderful through all this...i make him stay with me and watch as i mix and inject all my meds...even though he's not doing anything it makes me feel better that he is there with me. but just yesterday i was telling him how the nurse hadnt called yet with my new instructions and that i usually hear from them by that time. well he just looked at me and asked why the nurse had to call me....ummmmm hello????? where has he been this whole time? doesnt he know that after every b/w u/s i have i spend the rest of the day with the phone next to me waiting for what to do next?? after i explained to him why i was waiting he said...ohhh i didnt know that! well i made sure he knows now haha and he better not forget! so i think even though they are very supportive even our DH's dont know what we are actually going though. thats why this board is such a great place!

oh yeah and i told my DH that he shouldnt mess with me because i'm hopped up on hormones and i wont be held responsible to what i do to him during this hahaha

Wolfe: My when I found out the day of my retreval my DH said, "I can't get off that day." Well too bad! He did work it out. I think they just have this stuff on their mnds 24/7 since it's not their body feeling every little thing. That's what I explained to him about the 2ww. You don't have to look at the tolet paper everytime you use the bathroom and worry you'll see blood. You don't have to watch the clock for all the shots. They come around. My DH was great!

Wolffie - You're in Chi, too? How fun is that! You wouldn't happen to be going to a clinic in Gurnee would you? I was just thinking that would just be too weird.

Johannanita - Thanks for posting that great information.

I start stims tomorrow. I can't believe how excited I am about sticking myself with a whole different kind of needle. I really need my head examined.

I'm in awe of everyone hoping for twins. I am hoping for 1. I have no idea how I would manage 2. I try not to think about it, as the thought is completely overwhelming. While it would be really nice from a "I won't have to do this again" perspective, I can't see how I would have enough energy. The DH and I are going to do 2 if we get 2, because 2 is better than 0, but it still makes my head spin.

Happy, Healthy, Baby Dust to you all!
