Katie - I now how you feel about the errands. They exhaust me even when I dont have that many. :?

Kala - I'm sorry, but all that came to mind when you said you had to carry the sperm was Samuel L. Jackson starring in, "Sperm on a Plane" . AAAAHHH!!!!

Lady J - sending you lots of snuggle dust

Michele - I'm ready to hear that you are prego and Ella will have someone to play with! YAY! And yes, I am swollen, sore, bruised, and bloated :? . I am getting the pregnant waddle down pat a little early and being very careful with my steps when walking! Sounds like we may be having our transfers on the same day :!:

Turtle - Shucks, Dear! I'm so sorry  I'll be looking for you to start next cycle and cheer you on!

Wolffie - OMG! Did you ask the RE about it or did they just tell you? That's so cool!!! 8). The RE went on and on about my lining today and how good it looked! DH seemed so happy to hear that (and so was I!)

Lisa - That is so cool that you and Wolffie have probably seen each other and not known it!

Teachermom - Good luck @ your appt. tomorrow. Hoping for lots of good news and follies!

AFM - DH and I are trying to figure out where we are going to eat tonight and what we are going to do  (kids are @ their mom's)

shelby - I totally asked the RE about the triple stripe b/c I was never told before if I had it and I was jealous of yours! I was so excited when he told me I had one and it looked great!

Do you like sushi? I would totally go for sushi for dinner. I was thinking this morning on the way to transfer that I should have gotten my fill of sushi since I plan on not being able to eat it for the next 9 months! enjoy dinner with your dh! do the kids live with you guys full time?

Woffie - unfortunately not a big sushi fan. DH likes it though! I was so happy when you said you got that because I hope that's the key for us this time!!! Woohoo!
Yes the boys live with us full time. The oldest came to live with us almost 3 years ago and the youngest in April. It's a long story, but custody was finalized last month for both of them. They have isues with their mother and she denies anything is wrong and won't try to fix it. It's very sad. :( Austin (16) drives and we encourage them to spend time with her and go see her, but they only go everyother weekend and that's like pulling teeth trying to convince them! I hope one day she will wake up and realize she is losing her boys and try to change it.

Hi Ladies, :D I am new here and still not sure if i am replying on the current postings. I'd been browsing the past postings and trying to learn the terms and abbreviations being used. I still don't know what is BCP (something to do w/ starting medications?) and AF. I guess BFP is successful and BFN is try again. I don't know the acronyms yet.

My story- We will try our first FET hopefully this 24th of Sept. I started Estrace 4mg X3 per day yesterday & check up again on 9/21. I was told that it will prepare & thicken my endometrial lining. My first IVF was Dec 2007, we were so heartbroken that we just had the courage to try the FET now. We have 5 embryos & decided to have 2 for transfer. I am already learning from the tips i'd been reading here & quite feeling sorry that i should have searched for a forum like this before. Thank you for sharing and the support i see is overwhelming. Heartfelt best wishes to all for successful cycle.

Destiny- Welcome! You will like it here, these boards have helped me through some tough stuff! BCP's means birth control pills, BFP is big fat positive (pregnant!) and BFN is big fat negative (we don;t like those!) If you go to the general forum, there is a post for all the acronyms that will help you, but if you aren't sure, just ask and we will help you. It looks like you and I have close transfer dates, I am on the 22nd. So we will be PUPO (pregnant until proven otherwise) together in the 2ww (2 week wait, the most dreadful time until your beta, which is your blood test for pregnancy).

1st IVF- 12/07- BFP! Ella Michele was born 8/26/8
2nd IVF- 04/09 - BFN

4th IVF - Fall 2011??

shelby - what's a trible stripe? Looks like we probably will both trigger on the same day :-) I am down to 50 units of follistim and everything looks good. Negative is that the last sperm sample couldn't be frozen due to lack of swimming sperm. I really hope today's sample was better so we don't have to do tesa. RE said that we will get a last sample the day before and that we can use that sperm for the next day. Didn't know they survive that long.
The wait and not knowing is just killing me don't want to know how it will be in the 2ww.

wolffie - how long can you eat sushi before you have to stop? we are both big big shushi fans but we stopped eating last week when I started the meds - I would be in for a big last sushi meal.

2010 - welcome to the board - it is my first cycle as well and it is new and exciting

Hugs to everyone

starting lupron on 9/20

Post by m2b1106 »

Hi All,
I'm starting my first IVF this month. Lupron shots begin on the 20th. I'm really petrified of all the needles, but I will do whatever it takes to bring a healthy baby into this world. I'm 37 and my husband is 41. We've been trying to conceive for 2 years. Had 7 rounds of IUI. The 2nd one resulted in a pregnancy, but I shortly miscarried. So now we are attempting our first IVF treatment and hope it works.
My mom is battling cancer and I want so much to bless her with a grandbaby from me and my husband.

Wishing everyone strength, hope and perseverance day by day! Look forward to reading success stories, too!

May God grant all the precious desires of our hearts....and more.

I remain..
Hopeful in Virginia

jaydentd-
The saline sono is also called a trial transfer. It was uncomfortable for me. I took 2 800mg Tylenol & I still felt everything. Did you have an HSG? It's sort of like that.

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site. I just had my retrieval this morning. It went really well & they retrieved 25 eggs, which makes me really happy. My transfer is scheduled for Tuesday. What can anyone tell me about it as far as pain? I had a trial transfer before I even started my stimulation medicines & it was extremely uncomfortable. They gave me a precription for Valium to take that day so hopefully that will relax me. I'm also anxious about the progesterone injections. The stimulation injections weren't as bad as I anticipated them to be, but these IM injections don't sound fun.

Hello Ladies. Hope everyone is doing well.

m2b1106, Destiny, 2010 - Welcome aboard ladies. I'm sure you'll find the ladies on here very helpful. I know I have.

wolffie - obsess?! I have a print out of the chart in my planner. I put my dates infront of each line and as the days go by I mark them off. Talk about obsessive. lol Today I am 7dpt3dt and "Morula is completely implanted in the lining and has placenta cells and fetal cells".

AFM, I broke down today and POASed. DH left for work and I was watching tv. All of these pregnancy and HPT commercials started coming on. I thought well this is a sign. So I looked up the nearest Dollar Tree and picked up 5. I came right home and did it and it was negative. I figured it's just too soon. I then started to feel bad because I broke down and did it after DH and I agreed that we would wait for beta. Then I felt bad because the darn thing was negative. I just kept telling myself that it's just too soon. I confessed to DH when he got home. I couldn't hold this secret in. He says I knew you would, I shoud have put money on it! He then says well...I said well I'm not jumping up and down. I think he felt just as dissapointed as I was.
