Good Day Ladies. I was kind of preoccupied yesterday and missed alot/

Teachermom – I’m so sorry to hear about your cycle being canceled. Mine got canceled last month also. The RE changed my protocal to lupron microflare and I was also on 150 follistim and 75 menupor in the am and pm. I was a poor responder also. I did a lot better this time. I hope the change works for you.

turtle0619 – That is so sweet. You are my endo sister as well as my IVF sister. We can do this and we will do this! I know your time will come. Take some time, have some fun in ATL then come back and regroup with a new game plan. When are you meeting with RE?

CT_Michele – Good luck tomorrow. I’ll be thinking of you.

Supergenius – I didn’t think the TT was hard at all. When I did mine I didn’t feel a thing. I though the actual ET was more difficult but that’s because you have to have a full bladder when you do it. GL.

Lady_J – 2ww is the WORST!!! I have zero patience. This is the longest 2 weeks of my life! GL and loads of PMA. As for symptons, I had sore (0)(0) the while time since starting POI shots. I've had some back ache here and there and I have mild cramping all the time. Today I've had a dull headache and oh I've been constipated since doxy and POI. Fun, and it only gets better, right? I did the same exact thing you just did on Saturday. You're 4dpt right? Too soon. :D

Akowens – Thanks for the good luck wishes.

Deftonesmo – That is great news about your beta!! Bring the twins on!! (right?)

prayin4BFP – I am so sorry to hear about your mom and your whole family situation. I hope things work out for you sooner rather than later. I’m sure you won’t be able to, but try to take it easy and relax a little bit.

katie99 – GL tomorrow. Don’t back down girl!

Mjay – I’m so glad to hear you’re feeling better. I’m sure you’ll have all of nine months to feel pregnant. lol

AFM, ok ladies, I think I've gone WAY over board. SO I told you all about Saturday. So Sunday morning I couldn't sleep and I POAS and saw my faint line. You would think that I would stop there right? Oh, of course not. I decided to do more research on HPTs and and went down to Walmart and purchased more. lol I got the Walmart brand which is supposed to be the equivilent of First Response Early something or other. I picked up a 3 pack of those. Then i saw the clear blue digital and figured that couldn't hurt. So I nervousely drove home and started again. I decided I would do both at the same time. I walked out of the bathroom because I wouldn't have been able to bear seeing that damn thing turn from the hour glass to no pregnant. I went in the kitchen and went back in about 3 mins later. Wouldn't you know that the thing said pregnant?!!!! and the other one had more than just a faint line. I'm besides myself in disbelief. I know I still have my beta on Thurs and things could still go horribly wrong. This is my first pos HPT ever and I'm going to cherish this moment for life even if things don't work out. So again, of couse I couldn't leave well enough alone and I took another dollar store one this am. It came back with a very very faint line. So I decided to bring a walmart brand with me to work. LOL. ok I took it and it was pos. I'm done POASing, I swear. Unless something changes I won't POAS again til Thurs am before beta. Today I am 9dpt3dt and my trusty little chart says "More HCG is produced as the fetus develops".

Ladies, pray for me and hope that this isn't a dream that I'll wake up from soon. I wish you all loads of PMA and sticky baby dust. To all you ladies with up coming procedures, I wish you all luck. I pray for you all daily.

Hey ladies! - I think I missed about ten pages of stuff this weekend - wow this board is getting busy!! Welcome to all the new people - it's nice to see this group keeps growing! Of course, that just makes me further behind on personals :)

AFM - I started stims on Saturday night. I'm sore where the shot went in last night and I've been having sleeping problems as well :( I go for my first u/s on Wednesday to count follies. I'm hoping for good numbers. They cut my follistem dosage for this cycle, so I'm not really sure what to expect this time around. Thanks to those who posted on how much it sucks that the clinic measurements were so far off last time. I'm hoping they get it right this time because if this doesn't work, I think DH is going to have a few choice words for that place!

Johannanita - Once you start the POAS marathon, it's hard to stop! I don't plan on doing anything before my beta this time around, so we'll see if I can stick to that!!

turtle and teachersmom - Really sorry to hear about your cancelled cycles. Please still hang out with us on this thread!

Congrats to the BFP's from last week!

Shelby - Hope you are doing well!

CT_Michele - Good luck!!

Johannanita- that is amazing and sooo funny that you brought a hpt to work. i would never be able to do that!! ya know yesterday i was on here and i looked at your sig. and i told my DH about this sweet gal i talk to on my message boards and she has severe endo and is 33 and her first ivf cycle was canceled...hummm sound like anyone we know?? haha i had to stop in the middle and let him know i wasnt just talking about myself in 3rd person haha. you are me one step ahead and i am praying and crossing everything that your betas are awesome!!! do you mind me asking why your first ivf was canceled??

teachermom- where in NY are you? i am from outside albany. dh and i are actually planning on moving back to the area after we get pregnant so we can be closer to my family (aka free baby sitting!!) we have to stay here until then because my insurance is amazing for IVF, and there is noway we could be doing any of this without it. i am hoping by the time we get pregnant, sell the house, and move it will be easier for teachers to find decent jobs!

shelby- hang in there hun!! i am so proud of you! ya know i kinda had a feeling things weren't right with my cycle when you were talking about feeling bloated and full and that it was hard to walk. i didnt feel any of that. in fact i was losing weight!! hopefully i will know how it feels next cycle and i'll be able to say....ahhhhh now i know what shelby was talking about!! haha! i bet you are going crazy waiting for the go ahead for the trigger shot...youre almost there i promise!!

katie- thank you for thinking of me....i didnt even think about a cycle being canceled so it hit me hard. how did you get through yours??

afm i have my appointment with RE on wednesday and we will see what she has to say. does anyone know what it's called to do a cycle without going on BCP first? i want to ask about it but i want to go into this appointment knowing what i'm talking about. DH wont be able to go with me so i hope i dont lose it and start crying in front of the RE. has anyone here done a non BCP cycle?? how does it work? do you think BCP's help get a bfp???

statsgoddess - I started Stims on Saturday, too. They are not making me feel good either. I have a headache and falling asleep has been hard. I go back on Tuesday to check out the follies. I kind of hope they are giving me too much of everything and maybe they will cut it back. With my luck they will do the opposite.

Bei - POAS - Pee on a stick - HTP - home pregnancy test. I'm not sure about the 3 strip thing. :D

Claud662 - I must have been typing when you send your last post. That is a great # of follies. Grow follies grow. Yeah, if you read my last post, you would see the obsession has already set in. LOL

Statsgoddess - Yeah, DH and I both agreed that we wouldn't but I just couldn't help myself! I was loosing my mind. Plus this is the furthest I've gotten so I was too tempted to do it.

Turtle0619 - Thank you for the well wishes. It's amazing how some of our stories are exactly the same. I had to bring it to work or I would have thought about it all day long and would have probably left the office to go buy one. I didn't respond well to stims last cycle. I had 1 in my partical left ovary (had most removed in 4/09 due to a last cyst) and 4 in my right. The one on my left didn't grow and the ones on my right were ok, but my E2 wasn't going up so I got canceled right before trigger. :( I was so sad. So this time he lowered my lupron because he felt my ovaries were too suppressed. It seemed to do the trick. This time I got nothing on my left and started out with 4 on my right. I wasn't too thrilled but then a few more sprouted. I had 2 leading follicles but the others were closely behind. By my last US they said I had 6 follies. When I went in for ET, they retrived 8 eggs! I was in total shock. 5 fert and we out 2 back in and were able to freeze 2. This cycle was a lot more successful than the last one. I wish you luck Hun. Oh did I mention that I have a low reserve?

ladies thank you all for your support! i think im getting used to the language now (POAS, FET etc etc) and also getting addicted to this message board
i did not mention before that our doctor thinks that only ICSI would work for us but. i was suprised as my dh sperm count is between 8 and 15 (plus poor morphology and motility) and i did not expect this... the doctor said though that he would split the eggs between IVF and ICSI (if i have good number of eggs) and then see what happens with fertilisation. Has anyone been in a similar situation?
me 37 with no identified infertility issues
DH 36 low sperm count, bad motility and morphology

Hi Ladies, finally, just did my third beta this morning. Phew, that is a long week to have to wait between and hoping that all is still moving in the right direction. It came back great, 7,361 so I'm very happy. Also, my progesterone is holding well enough that I even get to stop the suppositories (already had stopped the injections a week ago).

Good luck to all! Sending good thoughts and vibes to all of you. This was our second cycle so I understand what everyone is going through. It's a roller coaster but you have to think positive and make sure you have a great support network around you. AND I'll say this Board has helped me tremendously!!

For the numbers
Beta#1 9/4 - 252
Betat#2 9/6 - about 580 (can't remember it exactly)
Beta#3 9/14 - 7,361

Oh and missed the last two posts.

Turtle- my first cycle was with BCP's and Lupron, second we did without both and it's was called an Antagon cycle. Good luck!

And 2010- my DH had low morphology so my Doc recommended ICSI and built it into our plan so all eggs had it. He's not actually that low, but if we are going to make this work, no holds bar was our approach. We also did pre-genetic testing and glad we did. Since we only had 4 fertilized eggs to begin with, one turned out to be chromosonally funny and would not have implanted. Plus we were able to see so much more about the quality which helped make some our our decisions as well. Not cheap, but now I think well worth it.

Sangria - Sounds like we are in the same boat. Even once I finally fall asleep, I keep waking up in a sweat - hot flashes, I guess. This happened to me last time as well. Are you having to do shots in the morning and evening? I'm just doing them in the evening right now, at least until they check my levels and see what needs adjusting. Last time I went really fast and my ER was about 3 days earlier than expected. This time they are hoping to slow me down a little and let the eggs cook a little longer, so we'll see. I'm hoping they didn't slow it down too much!

ok ladies..

i'm freaking out. so i work at the hospital that draws my bloodwork..therefore i'm able to look at the results before the nurse even gets them. so last night was my 5th night of stims and my E2 is only 128! isn't that way low for being half way through?? i had my scan this afternoon and i have 12 follicles.. i'm not sure of the sizes just yet. i guess we'll see when she calls tonight, but has anyone has low E2 levels that came up with upping the stim dose??

i hate this.

akowens-My place doesn't even tell me what my E2 levels are....I am not even sure what they are myself!!! Should I be asking when they call with my bloodwork?

Don't stress though....the one thing I have learned from everyone (including acupuncturist and doctor) is that stress can effect our bodies and ability to have babies....so just try and relax! I know it's easier said than done. :P

Hello everyone, My RE told me to drink to can's of muscle milk (Protein shake) to avoid much of the bloating after the harvest. Did anyone have to the same?

Wollfie - my DH didnt take any RX to improve his sperm count . I guess now it is too late :-(
I just hope the live sample is good enough and we don't have to do tesa - that would add another $5k to the bill

shelby - I lived like 20-30 minutes outside of Atlanta but liked it a lot. You are close to the city and also close to nature.
