Hey everyone -

Well my baseline didnt go well this morning. Apparently my antral follie count is 4. Yes, a big whopping 4. Now I understand that its possible that you can still have some pop up, but for all RE's talk of the benefits of back to back cycles, so far I dont see them. So I did manage to get my labs, though - all within normal limits, of course now I'm a bit sorry that I asked! But wait it gets better - You will never guess what the nurse gave me on the way out - a packet of their donor program info! Wow! Could she be more insensitive? On the day of baseline you give me a donor packet? Boy, that really gives me faith about this cycle! When they called later to tell me my doses for starting stims Thur I wanted to say "why even bother then?" How am I supposed to feel excited for this cycle when handed info like that? Am I being overly sensitive? I mean they thought this cycle was a great idea when its time to pay them, right?
I dont know how to take this, granted this is the same idiot nurse that mis labled my b/w in june, causing a dose change based on someone elses b/w. Luckily I usually dont deal with this nurse anymore. I wonder if she thought she was doing me a favor by giving me a heads up? thanks, lady, much appreciated! I'm sorry this turned into a rant, but I am just so upset right now! I'll do personals later when I can think straight. What a way to ruin my day. I hope that you all went better than mine did. - xoxo

katie99, I'm sorry to hear about your news but you did say you have four follicles right? The first time I did my IVF cycle I had 8 didn't get pregnat, the second IVF cycle I only had five, and i got preg. I have a friend who only has three but they are going to use those. That was very insensative what the lady did, but that's just a distraction to keep you off track. Just continue to stay focused and remember you only need one to have a baby. If they are able to retrieve all four then they might put put back three. Keep your head up, you are almost there.

I just got my medications today, I stop taking my BCP on friday and boy oh boy am I nervous. I have no idea why since this has been so stress free since I'm using frozen but I guess because october 8th will be here in no time. I'm trying to stay positive and every time my mind starts to wonder I just say to myself, nope don't even go there. :)

Katie Sorry for the rough day. Maybe the nurse was just remembering to give you the info you should have recieved before, or maybe it was for someone else, just like she mixed up lab results. I know what you are sating though. Everything sounds great as long as you are paying. I get upset if I forget a $.50 coupon at home and here where paying out thousands of dollars like it's water. Stay positive though and hang in there.

Kiwi I do real bad with anesthesia. I had some out patient surgery recently and was supposed to be home in 2 hours. I was there for 8 recovering from the anesthesia. But the ER was nothing. I was up minutes later and walking around like nothing happened. So don't be nervous at all. I was so scared leading up to it, but shoked it was so quick and easy.

Karen – What injections will you be on?

Kiwi – OMG!!! Now I really wish I would have triggered tonight!

Katie – I’m so sorry about your RE appointment today. She gave you a donor packet and you haven’t even started stims yet? Oh girl, I have over doubled my follicle count since baseline and starting stims. If she gave you that info without talking to the RE, that was just shi**y. I mean, hello, the whole point of stims is to make more follicles grow and over the course of a week or two you should be seeing that # rise. What was your E2? I hate that you are going thru that. One is all you need so you bow up and show them that you are a baby making machine and get preggo with twins, Girl! I’m behind you 100%!

I did find out something pretty cool today. I have been noticing that the parking lot was pretty empty every time I go the RE so I asked today, in a joking way, if I was the only one participating in this cycle. The nurse told me ‘yes’. That’s pretty cool that all their focus is on me this time! Maybe that’s another sign!

Thanks for the welcomes and advice everyone (it's going to take me a while to keep up with everyone & everything going on here).

Mock Transfer /SS went well today - not horrible as I'd imagined it to be (took a couple pain pills before I went just in case). Doc says I'm good to go next month, assuming my PAP next week is okay. All my PAPs have always been okay, so naturally I'm worried this time will be different.

Katie - I'm sorry about what happened at your RE appt. I had the same thing happen to me. Some people are such insensitive jerks!

shelby - Pretty cool about being the only one cycling at your clinic - you will be their #1 focus.

AFM - I am waiting for AF to start stims - hopefully in about a week.

Hi ladies -

OK I think that I've found my PMA again. I have to be positive, and with all you guys how could I not be? :D I'm pretty sure that I would have to deal with that nurse anymore, as it is I havent seen her in a long time.
But I will say when I get my bfp, I may hand her back the donor packet & thank her for professionalism.

shelby -thanks, hon, your words helped alot. Since I'm a poor responder & DOR if I end up with say 6 i'll do a happy dance. So you're the last pt? Thats great its just more attention for you & less time in the waiting room! I'm sorry that you're so uncomfortable, but hang in there, you're almost there!

welcometo all the new girls! this place is totally addicting!

tonya -thanks! I'm hoping that my high dose of stims (600units) will probably be increased later, will coax some more follies to pop up. Dont be nervous, I'm sure that your FET will go just fine! Is this the same RE that got you a bfp before?

lisa -thanks! its true, I think they forget sometimes how much this costs! Yikes! How have you been doing?

j &c - 1 more day for us! I hope that your lupron headaches have calmed down! feel better!

kala -Wishing you plenty of patience dust for the airlines, customs & TSA! Just keep reminding yourself of that BFP!

jennj -thanks! I'm in Orange county, probably 30 min from Sussex

bei -I've only heard no heavy lifting during the end of stims & after transfer, you be careful. UGH! moving!

Sorry if I left anyone out, know that you are in my thoughts & prayers!

Katie99 - I guess there are a lot of insensitive people in the world and you should not have that effect your excitement about this cycle. Just tell the nurse next time right away how wrong her behavior is.
For us they told us in the second session to get donor sperm, which made my DH feel really bad and we decided against it (for now).

shelby- just got the call 12:15 tonight

wolffie - RE said the proteins in the muscle milk help you not to feel bloated after the ER nothing else. You get it in those vitamin shops

the waiting room in our RE office is pretty full lately, so you are pretty lucky shelby (no waiting time ?)
