No u/s for me yet. Have to wait till 9/24. And my clinic only does the two early betas, so I have no idea what's going on in my body right now. Hopefully the baby's still in there, snuggled up and comfortable! Does anyone know whether I can have a miscarriage and not bleed? I'm under the assumption that as long as there's no bleeding, I'm good.

I've been getting this weird pulling, tight sensation across my ab muscles lately, especially when I'm stretching. Has anyone else had this weird symptom?

Oh ya, and I have to vent about my insurance. I've been on the phone off and on with 3 diff pharms and doctor's office for 2 whole days trying to get insurance to pay for the progesterone and estrogen I'm taking. It's been so bad that I've even had to make calls during my classes today. My doctor's office talked to Blue Shield for an hour today trying to convince them that now that I'm pregnant, these are no longer INFERTILITY meds. And then finally this afternoon I guess they got approved, but at very strange amounts. Not my usual copay. But I suppose I should be glad that they're paying at all.

dtao- I really don't mean to frighten you or anyone else, but I did have a miscarriage without bleeding. I had to have a D&C, so it is possible. Just try not to think that way, i'm sure you're baby is doing great and when you go to your u/s in 2 weeks, you'll be amazed at the progress you've made. Sorry to hear about insurance, that is always a huge pain. We've been fortunate enough (so far) to have great coverage for this cycle, but for some reason, when i was on Clomid, it was all messed up and I could only pick up part of my dosage at a time because insurance would only allow a certain dose, even though my doctor prescribed it!! I mean, it's not like it's addictive or something! Gi has mentioned the pulling sensation on another board. I always have little twinges and things down there, even when i'm not pregs, so I stopped paying attention to it!

hopeful - this was a fresh for us. i produce lots of eggs, they just aren't mature which we have no idea why. So our first try we got 19 eggs but only 2 matured. This this go around we changed the protocal and I got 14 eggs, but 5 were mature, so much better results.

dtao - my doctor has me taking weekly blood tests and my first u/s also isn't until the 23rd. He won't release me to my normal OBGYN until about week 11 or 12. Keep thinking good thoughts. All should be fine.

mjay- Thanks so much! For some reason, even though I knew we put two back, when I found out I was pregnant, I thought for sure it was a singleton. I'm very excited and when I couldn't wait to post the news before I ran to a big meeting. It's so hard to contain my excitement here at work since no one knows. I am all smiles today. Ah, school is going fine, i'm taking 2 classes this semester, neither of which are in DeKalb, so I guess that's good that I don't have to make that insanely long commute. Now that I have the news of twins though, I don't know how i'll ever be able to finish school, i'm only just over halfway through the program now! i can't even imagine doing an internship and working full time on top of everything. Oh well, time will tell, I guess. How are you doing with school? Is the OHSS going away? I really hope you start to feel better soon! I can't even imagine all that you have on your plate right now, girl! When do you go in for an u/s?

jg- you know sometimes i think i'm so smart and i have everything planned out perfectly. i planned to get pregnant now, so by the time the baby was due DH and i would be finishing up with school. however, i didn't factor OHSS. i'm still struggling with that and it's awful! i aslo didn't realize the amount of work the internship would entail. in addition to actually doing the internship there are several projects that need to be completed on top of my other two classes and working full time. DH said we should wait till school was over for IVF but i insisted! oh well, i'll make it somehow. i think if i could get rid of the OHSS everything would be a lot easier. i've had fluid drained 3x now. i am starting to feel better and the fluid is not coming back as much as it did last week, plus my ovaries are starting to shrink back. doc thinks the OHSS is so bad b/c we have twins, but i don't know when the u/s is to make sure of that. can't you just wait to start telling people. it's so hard isn't it? i saw you put up a may 2010 babies thread. i'm still too nervous to post yet.

mjay- I know, I had reservations about putting the thread up, but I did it because I'm thinking positive and in an effort to stay positive and optimistic, it's important for me to tell myself that this is real and it will happen. Please post on there! I know you probably don't want to jinx anything, but we can help you through those reservations that you might have and since we're all due around the same time, we all have the same concerns and fears. Of course, I started the May 2010 thread only to find out that with twins, my due date would actually be in April ;-) Oh well. You did plan things really well, but sometimes the big man upstairs has other plans for us and maybe this was just his way of telling you to slow down. I am not even that religious, but I know a sign when I see one! :-) I'm jealous of you that you'll be all done with your internship. DH and i have been trying even before I started my master's program, so I never even considered waiting, always wanted a family first. I am really hoping that you start to feel better soon and i'm glad that the OHSS is starting to slow down. Ooooh, I hope it's twins for you! I got my results from my third beta today (not sure why they did a third, but anyway), my levels were 14,239 (I guess I wrote that below)! When do you schedule your first u/s? Your levels are high enough by now to see baby(ies) for sure!

JG: OMGGGGGG TWINS HOW AWESOME. That is great. Im sooooo happy for you. I had my u/s and i also implanted to but they say one perfect sac with the yolk and the 2nd sac is much smaller and they said they couldnt see any yolk so the dr said i'm definetly pregnant with 1 baby but its still to early because the other baby can appear at some point but I will be happy either way as long as I get a healthy baby. Im so happy for you. Your betas are great. I go back on the 21st for my 2nd scan. If its twins i'll be due in April but if its a single baby im due in may I think on the 8th. Im scared to post on the may mommy board like mjay. I want to hear the heartbeat 1st. I cant wait to put my ticker up and start counting down. I pray you have a healthy and safe pregnancy.

Mjay: I feel the same way, Im scared to post in the may thread. I hope you are feeling better.

Sad news friends -- We went in for our 2nd u/s today and there was no real growth. I'm at 6.5 weeks and now yolk sac or fetal pole or heartbeat was visible.

We could stay on the meds one more week and go in for another ultrasound next week just to be sure. My DH and I think that we will just go ahead and schedule the D&C and stop taking the meds because the Dr. really doesn't hold any hope for us at this point.

We'll have to wait at least a month after the D&C to start the next cycle with FET.

JG, Ladybug, dtao & others -- Congrats again you give hope for us all and the very best of luck with your pregnancies.

Miner -- This time I can say for sure I feel your pain! I'm so sorry. Hopefully we will both have better luck next time.

All the best,

Hopeful
