CYCLE BUDDY DAY 1 AUG 3??

Hopeful- My heart is breaking all over again for you.. I am so sorry. I have to believe that our time is coming.. If I can share anything with you about what I went through, take some time and spend it with your DH. I was so consumed with everything that I failed to consider his feelings about the loss. It is hard to deal with all the emotions. I still am.. Try and look at the positive. At least we know that we can concieve. (I know that it is not much of a consolation right now)

I am already moving ahead to the FET.. We have 3 embies frozen so we are praying that these are our miracles. The doc said that we could put back all 3 if we wanted to. I have to wait for my true cycle to start which I am hoping for in early to mid Oct... The doc said that in all it is about 6 weeks before the transfer. So we are HOPEFUL that we will have good news by Christmas or the New Year...

Keep your chin up and let me know if you are going to do a FET. Maybe we can cycle again together... Let me know if you want to talk. My prayers are with you.

Miner -- Thanks for your words of support. It really helped. I sort of had a feeling that this would happen because of our low beta's, but DH was extremely oppotomistic up until the moment that he was looking at the monitor and the Dr. was telling us there was no chance for a viable pregnancy. It really hit him hard. I think we will try to go away for a few days.

Did you have a D&C or pass it on your own? How was it (whichever). I am scared of either prospect. If you had a D&C, did you continue taking your meds up until the procedure? I want to stop my meds, but then I worry that a m/c will happen on its own before we can have the D&C. I'm going to talk to my nurse today and try to schedule the D&C for as quickly as possible.

I'm hoping we could start again ASAP - the month wait is going to be hard. I'm just like you -- I keep thinkng we could know something by Thanksgiving.

I think there are some other boards for cycling after a m/c if we wanted to join one together.

Thanks again and hugs back to you. I'm so sorry this happened to us both.

Miner and Hopeful- I just want to let you both know that i'm so sorry for your losses. I've had a chemical pregnancy before (naturally) and I know how disappointing and scary it can be. I am counting on both of you having some success in this next cycle. I don't know the statistics or anything for sure for FET, but I heard from people that have done it, that it works better than fresh. I'll continue to follow your journey and i'll pray for both of you. You'll be mommies soon, i'm sure of it! Lots of love, Jenny

hopeful and miner- i am so sorry that this cycle was not a success for either of you. i am very hopeful and excited that you both are not giving up and trying again asap. this process is so hard, you two are very strong to give it another try. please take some time for yourselves and your DHs b/c you really deserve it. take care.

Mjay & JG- Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. It means a great deal to me...

Hopeful- I did not have to have a D&C but I will say that the "bleed out" was one of the crampies ever.. I actually missed a day of work due to the cramps. The doctor said that this was normal and that once my period starts which hopefully is in Early to Mid October that we can start the BCP's which puts use transferring in December... Fingers Crossed. I am very eager to try again.. How was your weekend?? Did you and DH get away for the weekend?

MJay and JG - Thanks for your words of support, you give us hope for our next rounds of IVF! Best of luck with your pregnancies.

Miner - I went ahead and scheduled the D&C so I could control the timing of the miscarriage. They nurse just called and I'm going to have the D&C tomorrow. I am glad I will be able to move on.

Did you have an HCG test after AF? What is the protocol for you for FET? I keep hoping that I'll get my period bang on one month later and then we can do a FET in mid November, but I guess realistically I should just hope we can get one in before the end of the year. I'd love to have a January date for the next IVF round in 2010.

How many will you transfer for FET? What are your clinic's success rates?

Miner - I see you are already on the Nov/Dec cycle post so i will join you there.

Hopeful-I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for your D&C... That is great that they let you schedule one so quickly.. I have heard that they like to wait awhile to see if it happens on its own.
They do not consider the miscarriage AF. It should be in mid October when AF comes... I hope no later. Once AF arrives I have to call the Doc and schedule a test to make sure a that there is no scarring on my uterus.. From there I will start BCP for one month, then Lupron and estrogen patches. The whole process for AF in mid October to transfer we are told takes about 6 weeks..
Doc said our chances of conceiving are about the same as with a fresh cycle. We have 3 frozen and plan to put all 3 back.. One is not as good of a quality as the others so we thought why not. Plus they have a 90% thaw rate at our clinic..

Wow.. this is the first time I read this thread and I'm mentioned in it. Crazy cowinkidink. I am on the Sept/Oct/Nov tread with a FET scheduled for October 17th and had a chemical last month.

Thanks Miner...I'm glad I could help. I feel like I just talk too much sometimes. I have an opinion on everything!

Hopeful...Sorry to hear about your loss.

I think it can be harder then just getting the BFN in the first place. But at least you know you could get pregnant. My RE said usually it is a problem with the chromosomes in the embie, not anything we could do about it. I did PGD and out of 13 eggs ended up with 4 viable embies. They told me since we produce so many unnaturally they just aren't all good embies and can have problems. Even the one we put in, which was the best quality, didn't stick. Good luck with your next cycle. You'll get there one day!!

Had 1st sono today and had quiet the surprise- there are 3 in there!!!! both embroys took and 1 split!!!! I was in tears when he said- oh wait there's more- RE concerned about the twins cause they are in the same sac which raises lots of concerns. I'm in shock- our 1st IVF and we end up w/ 3,!!! Re did tell us that they cant guarentee all 3 will make it, i'll be happy with just 1 healthy baby- got a long road ahead of me!

wow Fitz! 3!!! I'm very happy for you. You must be in shock! On the May 2010 babies board, Faith had the same exact situation, 2 identical, one fraternal. Crazy!
