I'm interested in doing IVF overseas because generally it is about 1/3 the cost outside of the US. (Great resource for more on this is www.ivfcost.net) I'm focusing on Mexico because of proximity and wondered if anyone out there has worked done IVF with the Dr. Ruvalcaba?

Mexican IVF clinics

Post by katiekatie »

I am also looking into clinics in Mexico. Below are the clinics / doctors I have heard of and wanted to find out if anyone has any experience (good or bad) with these clinics.

1.The fertility institute - Guadaljara - Dr Luis Carranza ($3800 no meds)
2.Hospital Angeles - Tijuana -Dr Walters
3.Clinic de la Fertilidad del Prado - Tijuana - Dr Horacio Ortega
4.InstitutoVida - Guadaljara - Dr Pena ($3500 no meds)
5.InstitutoVida - Matamoros - Dr Garza Morales
6.New Hope Fertility Center - Dr. Chavez-Badiola (I think this is the same one you are referring to and also goes by the name Mexican Institute of Infertility)

How did you select the clinic you mentioned?

I am trying to get info about babytakehome rates by age group, if clinic is internationally certified, doctors credentials and price ofcourse. If you have any of this I would really like to see it posted. Calling and emailing these clinics is slow due to my language barrier.

I did IVF/ICSI in Serbia cuz it was $4500 for everything including meds. The clinic there was very nice and they spoke english. The whole protocol was the exact same as it would have been done here.
So my guess is that most of the foreign clinics cater to us Americans looking for a good deal. Good Luck! Let us know how it works out!

I'll be going through my IVF/ICSI in Matamoros, Mexico in April 2010. My first IVF/ICSI was very successful ended-up beautiful and very healthy baby girl but second trial ended with miscarriage after 8 weeks 2 days. I am trying to recover but it is not very easy since this is my first any miscarriage!

Regarding to Dr. Garza and his VIDA Clinic: He speaks very well English and replies his e-mails regularly. My husband liked to practice his Spanish with him but he answers my questions in English. I never had a problem through phone. He is a very spiritual man. His staff is excellent regarding to the surgeries or after care.

Anyone needs information about Dr. Garza please e-mail. He prices are very reasonable. I don't think I could have afforded in the States this kind of care.

Happy New Year to you all..

Hi. I am currently doimg.my.2nd IVF cycle with Dr. arza jn Matamoros, Mexico. I got pregnant last cycle, but miscarried due to low progesterone (most likely).

I have video and photos of his clinic. I am going to go ahead and start a FB page/blog. I will also post my protocol from.last time and this time. I will begoing in on 4/5/12 for the ER! I'll post the FB link tonight when I get home. there we can discuss/chat about this clinic. I am a paramedic in TX and I love the clinic! It's clea. And he has top of the line equipment!

I live in Texas and am seriously considering going to Matamoros for IVF in a few months. I first heard about this Dr. about a year ago but wanted to find something more recent and I found this discussion.I want to make the right choice due to limited funds and time. I am 38 almost 39 & we have unexplained infertility as far as I know now. Im not going to a specialist here because of my insurance. As soon as they see I am trying to get pregnant etc. they may refuse to cover somethings that they otherwise would if they werent aware of this . This would be my first ivf.I would like any information or advice you all could give me. Thanks

hi I know I am very late to this post, but does anyone have an email address for Dr. Garza? I attempted to leave a voice message for him, but the mail box is full.

Any info would be extremely helpful...my email is: amandalorent@hotmail.com.

God bless.
