hi everyone,

we had a day3 transfer yesterday. only 3 out of the 8 had 8 cells and they had small fragmentation. the rest had 7 cells. So RE decided to transfer the best 2. the rest will be reevaluated Tuesday and we might have some to freeze.
I am now on bed rest until Thursday and it is so boring even with books and movies. I am only allowed to go to the bathroom :-(
RE said it is not proven if it helps so she said better do it than not.

Did you all have bed rest?

I just hope the fragmentation won't affect our success chances.

praying for everyone's BFP

Hello Ladies,
I am just peeking on my lunch break, and my co worker caught me smiling while chewing my foods. I said i am reading wonderful news from my sisters...and yay!!! Congrats to all BFP's with their increasing beta's.
And the rest...PMA...PMA...PMA. See that Shelby? Thanks to you i can relate to the abbreviations now...i hope you're feelin much better and when will be your FET?

FET for me on Sept 26, supposed to be this 24th, but MD not available. They said (Nurse) it has no consequence even if that will be my day 17. My embies were frozen Day3. Anyone on this case before? Is there really no consequence? Will start Progesterone IM on Wed for <3 weeks until the beta. OMG...!!! I ask for another way, but they said better absorption for IM injection. I guess i have to...be brave! Will icing the site work for IM too? What are the precautions after FET? They told me not to move for at least an hour post transfer and rest for at least 3 days. I am willing to try anything...any suggetions will be much appreciated.

For the rest...PMA and keep the hope & faith.
I am including all of you in my prayers.

Jaydentd – I got really bad headaches with the Lupron, too. Last time I stimmed for 9 days. This time for 11. Just depends on how the follies look and I am wishing some grow follies grow luck on you. You start stims next Mon. the 28th?

Stats – Great news! Sending you some mature and great fertilization dust! Have a good rest!

Tonya – I think all of us have that little voice that rears it’s ugly head from time to time, but you’ve just got to keep up of the PMA! You have over 40 ladies cheering you on and we aren’t going to let it get the best of you! So repeat after me: I’m going to be pregnant, I’m going to be pregnant…..

Johnannanita – Awesome!!! That’s great! Congratulations! I know you are on cloud nine right now.

Marya –PMA= Positive Mental Attitude

Kiwi – Ours have some frag too, but the embryologist still seems optimistic. DH is going to put me on bedrest for 3 days starting Wed.

Destiny – LOL! Anything I can do to help!

A lot of great news this Monday and it sounds like, for the most part, we are all making progress! Sorry for the lack of personal, but I have turned into a bit of a head case....

I transferred two 5 day blasts on 9/10 and do not have my beta until 9/24. While I have gotten a ton of support from this board on not having POAS, I now am regretting the decision. If I had POAS early (say 6dp5dt), I would have had a chance at getting a negative result, but could still hold on to hope that it was too early. As the days would pass and I would continue to test, I could get warmed up to the reality of whether it was a BFP or BFN. Now, I am 11dp5dt and cannot bring myself to POAS. I like holding onto the belief that it did work and need to get emotionally and mentally prepared that it didn't. I wouldn't be able to convince myself that it is too early or maybe I had a late implanter....ugh. I need to find the strength. Now I am stuck deciding whether to test on Wednesday (when my DH is back from a business trip) or hold out and hear it from a nurse during the work day on Thursday.

What would you do? Any advice is appreciated!

Stlgirl - I can see it from both perspectives. To POAS or not to POAS. Both times I said that I wouldn't, but was glad I did anyway. I can't stand to think that I will be getting the news (if it was bad) in front of people besides DH. I deal with things better if i know ahead of time. So, ultimately, still up to you, but there's my two cents worth. I'll be @ the store buying 3 HPT's as soon as I'm off bedrest! But won't be testing until a few days prior to beta. Good Luck!

jaydentd I stimed for 7 days, but I went really quick. I had to be seen for u/s and b/w everyday for 5 days. I did HCG on day 7 of stims and ER 36 hours later. I think ER is usually 10 12 days after starting stims, but you stop them 2 days before ER. I also get killer Lupron headaches.

sangria We aren't telling anyone either. We don't want all the pressure, but it is so hard to hide it all isn't it?

johannanita Yeah for the rising beta! Your BFP!!!!!!

wolffie Waiting for your results. I think I will ask at ET about moving up my beta. I guess it is all the nurse you speak to. I just can't see waiting 13 days.

tonya Hang in there.

To everyone else I missed good luck. Things are really jumping here. It is so exciting!!! :D

Hi Ladies -

I'm still waiting on my beta and getting anxious.

marya - Yes, it is very possible you could still be pregnant. If you had a 5 day transfer you are still only technically 13 days past ovulation. It could very well still be too early. Don't give up hope. When is your beta? No matter what the HPT says, you are still PUPO! You are still a week away from your beta!

stlgirl - I have POAS for both my cycles. I just like to be prepared no matter what the outcome. I don't think anyone can tell you what you should or shouldn't do. What feels right to you? Even if you POAS there is always a chance that you could receive a false negative. Even if you do POAS and get a negative, it's still not over until the beta.

destiny - my RE told me to be a couch potato for 48 hours after transfer. I just layed low and hung out. I tried to spend as much time laying on the couch as possible and have tried very hard to lift my son as little as possible all week. Good luck!

Kiwi - YAY, you are PUPO!!!!

Johannanita - What a fabulous number!!!!! Congrats!!!!

statsgoddess - Yay, 4 eggs! I'm praying for your embies! You only need 1!! With my fresh transfer only 5 of my 9 eggs were mature all 5 fertilized and 4 made it to blasts. I have a 15 month old and still had two embies to freeze. I am praying for similar results for you!

Shelby - how are you feeling today. Did you mention your uncomfortableness to the embryologist?

I'll keep you all posted once my phone rings!

Marya - There is always the possibilty to a late implanter. Also, some HPTs measure different levels of HCG. You may get a neg. with one that needs a higher level, but still be pregnant. Did you use the first am urine? Many different things can occur and cause a neg. Just stay positive and don't stress too much. I POAS to make sure I am prepared for the result either way. The nurse @ my clinic has told me that she has had women come in that POAS the morning of the bloodwork and get a neg, but then end up with a + beta. I will just hold on to that if mine is neg. @ home. Please don't get discouraged. Sending you well wishes and much luck.
