Hiya girlies -

I hope that you all are having a good day today. Finally now I'm starting to feel something going on, I'm feeling a little bloated, feel the need to move slower. Isnt it funny what makes IVFers happy? I hope that tomorrows u/s & b/w show some more that have popped up. But I'll still be alright if we end up with 6 follies too. Is it just me or does the ganirelix come with the dullest needles? I wish they werent prefilled! anyway talk later -

shelby -You're PUPO!!! :D waiting to hear how it went for you!

prayin -Hooray for good timing & stims! Only we are excited for needles! crazy! Good luck with your injections! Grow those follies! How is your Mom doing?

wolffie - I've getting cramps from having everything crossed for your beta today!

iamhopeful - Welcome back! This will be your BFP cycle!

kala -How was your flight? Hope you feel comfortable with the RE over there! let us know - good luck!

syanna - I totalyl cut out caffeine but I know some women who just cut back. Do you drink LOTS of caffeine? Lupron headaches are a pretty common occurance. That was really the only side effect that I had from the Lupron.

katie - I was so blated with my first cycle that I would drive home from work with my pants unbuttoned. Ugh, it was miserable, but yes, you are right that we get a little nutty when it comes to the things we look forward to. Oooohhhh....the things other women take for granted. I send good follie growing vibes to your follies! Thaks for keeping everything crossed for me today! I appreciate it!!!

Shelby - I'm thinking about you today! I hope all is well and you are now PUPO!!!!!! YAY! Rest, take care of yourself, and let those embies snuggle up! Hopefully your dream is a good sign! We are all there with you emotionally rooting you on!!!

kala - I hope you're doing well and that you made it to Serbia safely. I'm thinking about you!

Iamhopeful - welcome. I am sorry to hear about your Chemical. Like Shelby said, this will be your time! There is lots and lots of PMA here and we have plenty to share.

syanna - yes, the redness, itching, and little lumps are totally normal. isn't this all such a pleasure!

AFM, I went in for my second beta this morning. Now I just sit and wait by the phone all day waiting for the call!!!

Hey girls, I need some help. I been on lupron for 6 days now and this morning woke up to the sharpest pain on my right ovary. It felt like when I was taking clomid and had a cyst. My boobs are sore and I have lower back pain which I get before af. Is it possible that lupron is not suppressing me and I'm ovulating or something???
Shelby-Your PUPO, are you planning to cheat and POAS??? How many did you transfer? Sending you tons of PMA
Woffie-we're anxious to hear from you
ruthie- how you doing? your a couple of days ahead of me. what stim you will be taking? and have you thought of how many to transfer?

I'll check in with your girls later :D

jayden - when I had my canceled cycle my Lupron did not supress me and it appeared that I had ovulated. However, I did have pains that felt like ovulation pains during this cycle when I was surpressed. It could be med side effects. I would give your RE office a call jsut to let them know what you are experiencing. When is your next supression check?

So, it's a 3-day transfer for us tomorrow. Anyone else have any experience with a 3-day? We did a 5 day the last time. I hate that the lab voicemail was so vague, just to be there at 9am tomorrow.

Any success stories out of a 3-day transfer would be appreciated!!! I have mixed feelings on it, but with only 3 fertilized eggs yesterday, maybe that's why they are leaning that way. IDK. Thoughts??

Welcome everyone new and thanks to katie and others for the "dividing dust" thoughts! That made me laugh. Keep the dividing dust coming for the next few days!!!!

So as of 10am tomorrow, it looks like I will be PUPO!

Thanks! A little about me.... My husband and I have a two year old (she just turned two last weekend). It took us two years to conceive her. I have PCOS. We did clomid with IUI and a trigger three times. This time around we were about to start TTC but I found out I had a cyst the size of a grapefruit on my right ovary and two others on the left ovary. So, after three months of Ovcon to get rid of the cysts we decided along with our RE that IVF would be the best route for us right now. I don't respond well to clomid and our insurance covers IVF at 100% up to $15,000 and we didn't want to waste it on IUIs (since it took three the last time we tried) that may or may not work and possibly leave us with no insurance left to put towards IVF. We also decided against the IUI because my RE will cancel an IUI cycle that produces more than 3 follies. Honestly we also don't have much time, as my husband is about to take a new job with a new company that provides no IF coverage. Tick, tock.

Congratulations to everyone that already got their BFP!

I'm a little anxious about the egg retrieval... my RE uses general anesthesia which freaks me out a little... don't know why. Any experiences with GA for an ER?

syanna - I love coffee myself but RE said NO - no coffee, green/black tea, no coke nothing with caffeine to give the cycle the best chance.
there are only a few studies on the effect of caffeine intake during IVF - one says it increases the risk of miscarriage but the general result is - unknown.

I just do whatever is necessary and if there is chance skipping coffee helps, then I am up to that, so now I drink milk and herbal tee :)

shelby - let us know how it went - I am so thinking about you today

wolffie- the wait must be nerve racking - hope they call soon

katie - good luck for your u/s tomorrow and lots of new follies - My count changed all the time - sometimes she counted all but sometimes only the biggest - so as the others said - there are probably more to come

bei - how did your bed rest go? already over? Today is my last day - yipeeah. I still have some ice cream left but can't wait to get up.

we will get a call today to see how many they froze this morning - hope a lot.

good luck to all

I have a question I don't know if anyone will be able to answer. As you probably know, I had a chemical pregnancy last month and bled after I stopped the drugs. Went in for u/s and b/w all was back to normal. Was put on BCP's about 7 days after bleeding started. I took my last pill Saturday night and alway....always have AF 3 days later. But all I have had is some light brown spotting here on day 4 and hardly anything. Could I not get AF since I had the chemical? Don't I have to get it since I did BCP's? I am hoping this doesn't throw off my cycle here. Can I still do FET w/o AF? I am scheduled for my baseline bw/us on Friday, which is supposed to be between day 3 and 5, but is not going to be if AF doesn't ge here soon. What do I do, if anything, or wait and go in Friday as scheduled and figure it out then?

*Update* - They decided they want to do the transfer at 8:30 am instead of 10am. Still not sure of what we are transferring...the lab told us yesterday we had 3 that fertilized...today DH called and made them give us more specifics. We have a 4 cell, a 5 cell, a 6 cell...and a 2 cell?? I guess that one fertilized late?? They were also discussing thawing the frozens and refreezing if they aren't needed??? Augh.

Stats - I'm sorry you are having such issues with your transfer. I'm sure they are wanting to do a 3 day transfer because your little embies will do much better in their mommy. Have faith and I am still looking forward to having lunch with you soon. My uncle lives in Nashville and I have already had him recommend a couple of places in Manchester. :)

Lisa - I wish I had an answer for you, Hun. Sounds like something I would definately talk to your clinic about. Wishing you luck!

Syanna - my RE recommends no more than 2 8oz. cups per day, but I totally weaned myself off of it. It's all a matter of personal preference. I'm just one of those people who would probably "what if" myself to death if it didn't work and I was still drinking coffee.

Kiwi - I hope they freeze a lot for you too! Now you have me craving ice cream and I just got home!!! LOL!

Jaydentd - I had headaches with the Lupron and started having a "weird" pain-like sensation in my abdomen right below my belly button. The RE said that it probably didn't have anything to do with the Lupron, but it's awfully coincidental that is started for the first time after the shots. It still comes and goes and I've been off of it for a week now. And you better believe I'm going to POAS! he..he.. I talked to DH about it on the way home today and told him that I would rather be prepared either way when we go in for the beta.

Jenn - Sorry to hear about your cyst, but it sounds like you are doing the smart thing and going straight into IVF if you have coverage. Our insurance paid for NOTHING either time. And only covered the prometrium and PIO for the meds. Welcome to the board and feel free to ask anything you have a question about. As for the GA for ER, I'm a nurse so GA doesn't bother me so much, unless you have ever had problems with anesthesia. My clinic uses moderate sedation; meaning they knock you out and are ready for GA if it doesn't work (or works too well). Sounds like they really want you to be comfortable.

AFM: We transferred 2 grade 4AA and 4AB embryos. The embryologist thought that we were only transferring one like we did last time and was going on and on about how perfect the embryo was, etc. When we told her that we wanted to transfer 2 this time, she looked @ us and asked, "you ARE going to ok with twins, right?" LOL! We had 4 embryos left and she will call us tomorrow and let us know how many she was able to freeze. Right now I am on 'recliner' rest and am being waited on. Gotta love that!
