Hi May2010,

I feel the same way. When we found out on Sept. 16th, I only told the people I had to as they were asking me how the IVF turned out since they knew we were doing the cycle.

I am watching every sign my body makes. I noticed my breasts being a little less tender, but then I stopped the progesterone a week ago and it probably took so long to get out of my body.

I really do not feel anything nor do I have any symptoms I would associate with pregnancy. But then, my doctor said this can be normal and every woman is different.

It is a little nerveracking but we need to be patient.

Kristy, Cheryl, Gi- Today's the big day! Let us know how your u/s goes.

Welcome May2010- If you give me your stats (EDD, Next u/s, etc.) I can put you up on the list (page 4). I know what you mean as far as not wanting to get your hopes up. I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks and had to have a D&C and I will be a nervous wreck until I at least pass the point that i was in my last pregnancy, but realistically, it'll probably continue throughout my entire pregnancy. After my miscarriage, people told me some horrible stories that will make me worry throughout my pregnancy. I'm just trying to tell myself that the odds are in my favor this time, that the chances of something like that happening again (just a chromosomal defect that ended up being a "fluke", according to the doctor). Try to keep telling yourself it's going to be fine, i'm sure that they will be. Just know that there's not a whole lot we can all do right now except wait, so while we're waiting, we might as well hope for the best!

deftonesmo- I check the TP every time too! The worst part is that i'm using crinone gel (it's like a gel that I have to insert vaginally--sorry for the TMI) and "what goes up must come down", so sometimes, a couple of times a day, I feel a gush and I know what it is, but it doesn't stop me from running to the bathroom each time to check!

dtao- How long do you have to do PIO injections for? when I went to my last u/s and they saw the h/b's, they told me that i could stop PIO then (I told them I never had PIO to begin with). Is it the same for you? If so, hopefully it will be over soon!

mjay and faith- between the three of us in the Chicagoland area, there are 7 babies! We should start a multiple mommies group :-). Speaking of which, my sis, who is also pregs mentioned that in Lake Zurich this Saturday, they are having a "multiples" sale and selling gently used stuff. I went online and couldn't find the info (and I have class all day Saturday), but if you're interested, you should check it out! I know two (or three) of everything is going to get expensive!

ladybug- ticker looks great!

Hi All!

Well....we have 1 1/2 babies. The first baby is doing great - measuring exactly to today and actually had a heartbeat! (104 BPM). The other baby didn't even have a fetal pole, so they do not think this one will make it.

We feel blessed with another miracle!

What did everyone else have for their first heartbeats? My husband thought 104 was a little low, but the RE said it should pick up beats by my appt. next week.

Kristy - how was your appt?

Welcome May!

Hi Ladies,

Just got back from our u/s. We have one little rice grain growing!! 7 weeks today and measuring exactly 7 weeks with a heartbeat of 125. My doctor says size is good and heartbeat is good. For my timeframe he said they like to see it between 112 and 140, so I'm right where I should be. I'm sooooooooo relieved. I was more nervous for the u/s than my first Beta. We go back in 2 weeks for our second u/s and then I'm off to my own obgyn for good. Phew!

Oh and he also said all my crampiness is not because of the baby and not harmful, but is because my ovaries are still enflamed from all of the stimulation. He measured them to keep monitoring, but said it's ok, and not to worry.

Yeahhhhhhhhhhh!

Deftonesmo and dtao- Good luck at your u/s today.

gi- GREAT NEWS! I'm so happy for you. Yes, it seems that we've been spoiled at our clinics, so once my doctor releases me to a regulary OBGYN, I will not know what to do with myself. I have thought about renting one of those fetal heart monitors, just to reassure myself that things are okay. I haven't decided yet, I wouldn't want to freak myself out with it either, like if I don't know how to work it right and don't hear a heartbeat! There's a place (bellybeats.com) that rents them out.

mjay- i'll have to look into that multiples group. You're right, I would probably wait a little longer to join myself. Still trying to be careful.

kristyb and cheryl- i"m glad to hear your u/s went well! Congrats! Cheryl, sorry to hear about your second baby, but i'm so glad you have that one little peanut!

AFM- I feel good today (ha, almost worried that I feel good though!). Nothing else too exciting over here!

Hi Everyone,

Gi - Wonderful news. I am so happy for you and with the initial scare.

I actually went in for an early ultrasound today. I had pain in my side and wanted to check it out as it is quite intense. The cod said everything is fine, just still enlarged ovaries producing the progesterone for the pregnancy. Drink a lot and it should go away, I was told. He did take a pic of the embryo and everything looks fine, although it is too early to see the heartbeat yet. I have also now been released to my regular OBGyn and need to go again on October 1st.

I find it so interesting how all clinics do things differently. I had to stop the crinone gel the day I had my BFP and have not been taking anything since then. My symptoms did subside a little thereafter. I know it was the crinone that caused them because I had them prior to the transfer and they could not have been from HcG (either injected or naturally produced).

Hope all is well with everyone today. Glad all the u/s went well, Ladybug, cheryl, kirstyb.

Luckyone - I am glad everything is on track so far i was also too early for heartbeat on my 1st scan but as long as everything looks good you can breathe for another while. I am only still on meds as it was a FET otherwise i would have had to stop crinone at time of bfp.

JG thanks for the list i rang my hospital and they told me they usually scan at 16 wks! but given my history they will do next u/s at 12 wks so booked in for 28th of Oct. Glad to hear you feel bit better for today but i am prob. jinxing you now

Anyone else still having mild cramps??? Maybe mine will stop after i finish the crinone they are not too bad have them about once a day also have some lower back ache at times. I would probably worry it they werent here!!!

Deftonesmo - Good luck on your u/s today! Let us know how it goes.

LuckyOne - Sorry about your pain, but wonderful news on your u/s

Gi - I get the kind of cramps that is more like a bolt of lightning. I think it's the uterus stretching. If I didn't remember it from my first preg. then I would have probably freaked out. They say it's typical when going from laying down position to sitting up, and moving positions quickly. I also get backaches from time to time. Fun, fun!

JG - you can buy one of the fetal monitors at Babies R Us. They're not terribly expense. We did with our son, and loved it (it's like music to my ears). However, you have to be in the 2nd trimester to be able to hear it.

So, is anyone going as a "bun in the oven" for Halloween???

deftonesmo - So true! Were you able to see/hear the heartbeat? Sorry about your helper baby. Our pastor helped ease our hearts by reminding us that God placed that baby there to help the baby coming into the world. Looks like we have the same due date as well! My next u/s is next Friday.

Dtao - How was your u/s today? Sorry I didn't wish you luck earlier, I am soooo braindead now.

Anyone else losing brain cells?
