Hey ladies,
So I had my 2nd ultrasound today and saw the most beautiful creature I have ever seen. The baby was bigger than we expected. The heart was beating as fast and strong. We saw the head and little arms on the side and the legs, but that still looked a little like a tail. I was so happy. The sad part and weird thing is that the other sac is growing but no baby inside but we have one healthy baby so far and Im extremly thankful for that. My last ultrasound was 12 days ago and the baby looked like a dot and today looked like a human. WOW. My next and hopefully last visit to my RE is next Fri and he said if all looks well I can stop the PIO and graduate to my regular OB. I cant wait. I spotted a little yesturday and today but it stopped but the baby's heartbeat reassured me everything was ok. My baby is due May 8th so I will be joining the May 2010 mommies, how exciting :D

GI: Thanks so much, I cant wait until its your turn. We are partners in this and I have faith all will go well.

Michele: I hope all went well today. Eager to hear how it went.

Baby dust to all

Hey girls, thanks for thinking of me today. Here is my update that I posted on the other thread, sorry to be repetitive, but I know some of you over here were waiting to here my news.

The transfer went very smooth, not like last time when they had trouble with the speculum and the catheter. We could even see the 2 dots on the u/s screen after it was done. So when we showed up, they told us that of the 2 they thawed last night, only one made it, and then they thawed the other 2 this morning and only one was viable. So of my 4 frosties, we transferred 2 7/8 celled well graded hatched embies. I got my pics of them.

I am very nervous knowing that we have no embies left, but also kind of relieved. we were always a little concerned about this "batch," considering we had a failed fresh cycle from it. So I think we are giving ourselves the best possible chance in one transfer, rather than trying twice. I just really hope this works, because if it doesn't, we are not sure we can afford an out of pocket fresh cycle.

And everything worked out well with Ella. A friend of mine who lives a couple streets over offered to take her. I didn't want to ask her because she has twins that are only 3 days younger than ella, so she already has her hands full, but she didn't mind. She said it would be like having triplets for a few hours. And Ella did great and had fun playing, and now she is napping so I can rest.

Thank you all for your support and I will keep you updated as my beta nears (oct 5) and I start my poas marathon.
