general anesthesia for ER

Post by jenn913 »

I'm starting my 1st cycle of IVF this week. I start lupron shots this friday. My RE does general anesthesia for the ER and puts you completely under. It kinda freaks me out. Anyone else have to go through this for the ER? How long were you under?

I was only under for 30 minutes and it felt like 2! You'll be fine ;-)

Thanks for your reply! There is so much about this process and it is a little overwhelming at times. Thanks again!

Hi Jenn,
The process is overwhelming and emotional. Just take it as it comes and remember to breathe. I did acupuncture in conjuntion with the IVF process and it helped keep me calm and focused. Join a group here-it really helps answer many of the questions you will have.
Good luck!
