Hi All! Soo so so sorry I haven't posted in forever. I am still here - stimming away. My little guy got really sick (103.4 temps) on Sunday and Monday and I was freaking out that he had H1N1 or something so I have been babying him like crazy and really watching him so I have had no time to post. (for those who don't know or don't remember he has Cystic Fibrosis so H1N1 is even scarrier then it is normally for us.) He was perfectly fine Tuesday though and besides being a little warm now and then and a bit more snuggly he seems to be back to his super busy self. Then Wednesday I came down with a sore throat. I swear when it rains it pours. I am feeling better now though - was petrified that being sick would ruin my cycle - but it is all good. ANYWAY I have been reading everyday though. Sometimes multiple times a day. Wow we have a lot of new people. It is so hard to keep up with everyone but I will try to get better. I started my stims on tuesday I am doing 150 follistim in AM and Repronex 1 ml and Lupron 10 units in the pm. It has been going well except that i get little welts and am sore where the repronex goes. I tried icing first today and DH said that when he gave me the shot he had to push extra hard to have the needle go in. I am a wimp and still cant watch. I am going to be a mess once I have to do the PIOs - what size needle do they have you guys using for them? I thought that they mentioned once that you have to do them for 3 months. Hopefully I was wrong. I go in tomorrow morning for a stick and stir. Not even sure what exactly they are checking for besides the follies. I know you guys talk about lining and E2 - what does that mean? Well I should probable be off to bed. Going to Dave Matthews Band tomorrow night! YEAH!

Congratulations to all our BFPs! I wish you all the best and hope you have boringly easy pregnancies and beutiful healthy babies.

My heart breaks to our BFNs and canceled cycles. Life just isn't fair some times. Prayers for whatever is next for you.

Everyone else who is mid cycle good vibes your way my pin cushin friends.

Destiny - Just wanted to give you a shout out and wish you tons of luck and sticky dust for your FET tomorrow!!!!! How many are you transferring? When is your beta? Tell us all the juicy info when you get home. Gets lots of rest and pampering  GOOD LUCK!!!

Karling - Sorry to hear about your little one. That sounds so scary! Glad he's doing better. I use a 25 ga. needle for the PIO. My clinic gave me the choice to either do the shots for 3 months or use the pill and suppositories. Although I would love to get away from the needles, I will use the shots because my insurance actually covers that (sorry bootie :( ). When stimming, E2 can signify about how many mature follicles you have. For about every 200 of E2, you can expect one mature follicle. Now this is not exact by any means, but let me give you an example: my last E2 before ER was about 2800. They retrieved 14 eggs and 13 were mature. So that was pretty darn close. As for the lining, I've heard many people say that getting pregnant is 1/2 embryo & 1/2 lining. Meaning that a thick, sticky lining is optimal to 'catch' the embie and make it dig in. But to get that good lining, you need the Estrogen and Progesterone. After my ER, my clinic put me on 2 Vivelle patches and 1ml of PIO. My lining was already a 16 with a triple stripe (optimal) before all that, but they want to make it as tempting and inviting as possible. Hope that helps a little. I'm SO jealous!!!! I love DMB!!!! I had tix to the show in Atl. a few years ago, but the person I was going with backed out and I sold them  . Hope you have a wonderful time!

Rayofsunshine - Good to hear from you! Sending you 'cancellation-free' dust!

Katie
- GOOD LUCK!!!! 'Twin' dust comin' @ us both  !!!

Marya - Sorry about the neg. HPT, but keep looking forward to Monday. Think POSITIVE thoughts

Ok. Only 5 more days and I will start POAS! I will do one in the mornings on Wed., Thurs, & Fri. then go in for my beta @ 9am on Friday. YIPEE!!!!

Hi Ladies-
Sorry to be the downer for the day-my cycle got canceled again! I had one follie on the right at 8 and one on the left at 18. My RE told me to do the shots tonight, the trigger tomorrow, and we are doing an IUI on Monday. I am so devastated that I have lost any hope that this will work! I also was told that we really have to sit down to discuss the next step-I can tell it is the egg donor talk that I am completely unready to hear. I am so frustrated with my body and can't believe I'm here again.

I will go find my PMA before I post again! I am sending love, best wishes and prayers for you all ;)

rayofsunshine -Aw honey, I'm so sorry. I've been there ( cancelled twice in a row b/c of those darn dominant follies!) Dont give up hope yet! You have to sit with him & hear his ideas, a change in protocol is definitely in order. There arent words to make it better, I wish there were!
I'll cross my fingers for your IUI on monday! please try to stay positive

rayofsunshine - Oh no. I'm so sorry. /hug. I'm sending baby dust your way for a sucessful IUI. Hang in there.

jenn913 - Hooray for starting stims! It finally feels like it's starting, doesn't it?

shelbyrn0214 - Grats on the snowbabies.

kala0704 - I'm glad you had a safe journey. I'm curious to hear more about your experiences abroad. Keep us posted if you can. :)

CT_Michele - The new business sounds exciting. I always thought a photo studio that could turn around proofs in 24 hours would make a mint. Too bad photography is an art and I'm no artist. hehe.

Johannanita - Thanks for the prayers. I say one every time I think of my 4 in the lab. But I never say no to more. :)

moorebaby - Thanks for sharing your fert numbers with me. It's so nice to not feel alone in all this.

katie99 - Try not to fret about the meds changes. Try to think of it as the doc really paying attention to your individual results and making good adjustments.

The support here from everyone is overwhelming. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. The whole ride would feel so very lonely without you ladies.

Johannanita - well, I wasn't that crampy with the POI specifically, just kinda crampy all of the time. Of course was worried to death, but when I went in on Wed for my first u/s my Doc said my ovaries are still enflamed from the stims and that the cramping is from them changing, not the uterus. Phew.

So, keep the faith!!!

sangria- In today's age of digital photgraphy, if you have good equipment and an eye for what looks good, you can start a respectable business. DH loves, loves, loves to take pictures. Even before we had Ella, he might try and take a picture of his dinner and make it look like art. I finally let him get a better camera since we take a bazillion pictures of ella, and since then he has just really gotten into it, taking pics of everything, reading everything, so there is just no reason to not try and make some extra cash on the side. And who knows, maybe it will turn into something bigger.

shelby- How do you have beta on Friday?!? My 14th day fell on saturday and I knew they would bump it until monday because they were closed. I begged to let me do it friday and they said it was too early. I even asked them if I got a postive hpt if they would let me do it the day early and they said no. So if your ET was a day after mine, then shouldn't your test be on sunday? They weren't concerned that friday was too early? I am jealous.

And as far as hpt's...I am already starting to get ansy...I have 20 strips waiting for me! Today is 3dp3dt, and I have read, in very very rare instances, that some people will get a positive as early as 4dp or 5dp their 3dt...so I might start tomorrow. I mean, I have enough of them, and if I don't get a positive this time, it will be a while until I get to do ivf again...so I wouldn't want to waste my test strips...lol

rayofsunshine- I am so sorry to hear your cycle got cancelled. It is the worst feeling, please let us know what your next step will be and I am sending lots of pma your way.

Ok, ella finally fell asleep for nap, so I have to go and shower while I can. I am thinking about venturing out with her this afternoon, just to get out of the house and run some errands. I think I told you guys that I got her halloween costume already, she is going to be supergirl. She has 2 parties to go to plus the night of halloween. Then yesterday, dh and I got an invite for the night of halloween at one of our friends houses and it is a an adult costume party. I told dh we need to dress up and the only thing I could think of to match ellas supergirl was of course superman or other superheroes and dh refuses to wear tights. (we are both on the bigger side). So I talked him into the simpsons. He is big and bald and will make a great homer simpson, of course I am not skinny enough to be marge, but I am sure it will look fine, and ella will of course be maggie! Our friends are going to love it (all huge simpsons fans) and it will be a complete surprise because they all think ella is supergirl. I think we will definitly win the costume contest! I need to go to joanne fabrics and get the materials, I think my mom is going to help me make the costumes, which should be easy and cheap.

I will check in on you all later. Have a great weekend if I don't talk to you, but I am sure I will be starting my poas marathon very soon and will keep you all posted.

Michele - My clinic does the first beta 2 weeks after ER and my ER was 9/18. That would drive me crazy if they made me wait any longer. Since you did an FET you didn't take a trigger did you? I don't see why they are making you wait....

Shelby- I did not take a trigger shot, so no chance of false positives. But when I got pregnant with ella, my beta was supposed to be on christmas, so I again got bumped to a day late, and I guess it was a good thing because even 1 day late my hcg was only a 44, so I understand their reasoning, but it still stinks to wait longer than planned because it falls on a weekend.

I thought you had a 3dt, but since you had a 5dt now your date makes more sense...so I will quit my whining...lol :D

I had my first stim check bloodwork and ultrasound this morning. I was kinda in an emotional place due to my tummy being sore from the repronex and all my little welts and bruises. When the nurse was checking my overies she told me I had 3 follies on my right side and I almost lost it. The PGD lab expert told me and my DH that he fully expected to get at least 20 eggs from me. There were 7 follies on the left, so they are thinking I will have 10. I started crying because this is 1/2 of what we were expecting. The nurse went on to tell me the average is 10-12 and that they were all meausuring around 10 which was great. I told her what the lab guy said and she was really surprised. She said I am right where the doctor would want me and she would be more concerned if there were 30 follies in there that were not the right sizes. I am fine now and it was silly to be upset because 10 is a great number. It is just not what was in my mind. When dealing with PGD I get so scared that more then 25% will have CF and we will lose more with the biopsy. We have to make the decision on what is the lowest number of embies that we would send to the PGD lab or if we would freeze what we get and re-start the cycle to send the next cycle fresh and the frozen to be tested. I think we decided on 4 or more. What a rollercoaster this is.

Shelby – I have to use a 22 ga needle for my PIO!!! I will do shots for 5 weeks and then can switch to suppositories. IF I get pregnant.

Rayofsunshine – so sorry your cycle got cancelled. Sending hugs.

Miyaya – yeah for loaded left overy! Ha ha. When is your ER?

CT-Michele - I love the Simpson costume idea – that is going to be so much fun.
