fitz- triplets!!!! omg!

gi- did you have the u/s yet?

woffie- so glad you're here! hopefully everyone else will join us soon!

faith- how are you doing? i know it must be pretty overwhelming, but women do this all the time and you will too!

jg- GO BEARS! so sorry about the m/s and skunk issue. i don't know what i would do if i had m/s b/c my neighborhood is infested with them. they smell awful...

afm, i had another u/s today and saw both heartbeats!!! i'm so excited and feel like i can relax a little. for those of you that have m/s, are you taking your prenatal vitamins in the morning or at night? just wondering b/c i take mine at night and i think i've only had two days where i had very mild nausea. my breasts and nipples are starting to get sore and i'm excited for them to get big! lol! i have been discharged from the fertility clinic and have been cleared to drink water, have sex/orgasm!!! so happy.

Nice to Meet You May 2010 Board!

Post by Gal1970 »

Hi-
I am new to the board. My estimated due date is May 19, but I had a tough few days. The Dr. told me I had less than 50% chance of keeping the baby bc my HCG numbers didn't double right. I went back this morning for an US and we heard a heartbeat! Does this mean we are out of the woods, or should I still be worried?
Anyway, I am glad I am on this site and have new pals to chat with!!

Well we went to our ultrasound today and I am joining the others with triplets in this group! I am in shock!! We have identical twins and a singleton. I am just praying, praying, prayer that they all stay healthy and keep growing. My due date is May 19th, but there is basically no way I will make it to that date. More likely in April. My next appointment is on Oct. 12th and then I get transfered to a maternal fetal doctor (or something like that). It's a high risk doctor. Is anyone else having to do that?
I will keep you all in my prayers for the health of all your little ones. This is going to be a crazy ride!!

I'm on the april boards, but just wanted to chime in over here

WOW! Ya'll have a lot of multiples. Maybe we should start a multiples thread.

Seems like illinois in particular is in for lots of multiples huh?

Allie-OMG that is 3 of us with the same triplet situation! I totally understand your shock! I am right there with you. It's so funny because 3 wasn't even on our radar. It's starting to sink in now, 1 week after 1st U/S. I was at the park with my nephew yesterday watching all the little kids playing and am excited that mine will have a built in play group. I'm actually going to see a high risk maternal fetal DR this week, even though I won't be released from the clinic for a couple more weeks. I called them and filled them in and they seemed to think the sooner the better. I'm excited to move forward working with the team that will help bring these 3 little lives into the world safely. I guess embies splitting is more common than we thought!

It's Triplets!

mjay- sorry, I probably confused you, include the [img]and[/img] in your code. On lilypie, you'll find the right code under forum signatures, bbcode. From there copy from [img]to[/img] and paste it. That should do it.

Wolffie--I am so glad you posted. The last couple of days before the first ultrasound is nerve-racking. I was wondering about your progesterone levels--my office has never even checked mine. It seems like they are having you take a lot of progesterone. Are the suppositories a pain? My office offered them to me for weeks 8-10 instead of the shots.

Cheryl--I am sorry you had the blood thing happen. My office told me that 40% of all IVF women report some spotting so hopefully it is nothing. Good news that it is brown now.

JG--thanks for doing the post! The group is growing fast. My EDD is 5/21/10.

mjay--I do my vitamins in the morning but usually end up burping DHA fish oil all morning. Maybe I should switch.

Gal--I think the heartbeat is super encouraging! With my first, they could not see yolk sac and told me he was not viable--well he is 17 months now! All you can do is think positive thoughts!

Allie--triplets! That is so amazing. I am so excited for you.

I just got back from my first ultrasound and they saw one baby! The yolk sac was good and the heart rate was 120. I am so relieved! With all of these triplets going on I was worried--we transferred 2 blasts as well. Whew! I guess we are all blessed having any number. :)

hope4two - my office is hoping that the levels aren't an accurate reflection of my actual progesterone and just a reflection of the fluctuations of taking the shot every 3rd day. BUT, just to be on the safe side they have increased my dose. The suppositories are no fun. My dh gives me my shots so I wouldn't mind doing just the shots over the suppositories but if I had to do the shot myself I would opt for the suppositories. Congrats on seeing the heartbeat!!! Isn't it such a wonderful moment?!?!

Allie - holy cow! congrats!

Gal - Congrats on seeing the heartbeat! From what I have heard once you see the heartbeat the chance of m/c goes down quite a bit. Keep your hopes up! Was your little one measuring on schedule?

AFM, I moved up my u/s to Wednesday. It works out better with my work schedule (and I'm super anxious)!
