I feel bad because I feel like I'm already starting to favor my little girl over the boy! Her kicks are so cute and sometimes tickle. He is ALWAYS kicking my crotch or my butt! Kellie, like it said it is so uncomfortable at times. Last night I was begging him to stop because it was starting to hurt. And he makes me feel like I constantly have to pee even if I don't. I still love him though :D

I don't have much time at the moment for personals since I'm at work. But, I just found out I didn't pass my glucose test. I have to go back Monday for a 3 hour test after fasting for 12 hours. I wasn't surprised I failed the test because I failed the 3 hour one before. I'll just have to wait and see.

I'll try to post more later tonight.

sugar level

Post by Tara2009 »

I also just got my sugar test result. I failed it. The cut off is 140 I think and my number is 149. So the nurse said I have to come back for the 3 hour test next week. I read that women who fail the one hour test may pass the 3 hour test. So I am hoping that I pass the big test next week. If not, I am dreading all the diet that I have to go through.

aims - what was your sugar test level number?

Tara.

Tara - They didn't tell me my sugar number and I didn't think to ask. When I took the 3 hour test before, I failed the fasting sugar level. It was at 112. I'm hoping I pass the 3 hour one this time but not getting my hopes up. I will try to find out my number.

sugar test

Post by Tara2009 »

Couple of my friends told me that some women go on a low sugar diet for about a week before going for the sugar test. So I moved my sugar test to next Friday. I am going to follow a low sugar diet for the next few days and see if that has any effect on the test. But I am not sure if I am doing the right thing.

Tara - I'm not sure if waiting will make a difference or not. I'm sure it won't hurt anything. I took my test yesterday and found out today that I passed! My doctor's office makes 139 the cutoff on the 1 hour test and I was at 142. Yesterday, my fasting sugar was at 82. Then after I drank the glucose, it jumped to 146 for the next 2 blood draws and finally went down to 99. They told me I don't have GD but still be careful. My body seems to hold on to the sugar for a couple hours then crash.

Cymplicity-thanks for making me smile...that was cute about your babies! I've been getting some really painful kicks lately too!

Ianmichael-thanks for the Hugs and support. I do need all I can get right now.

Nothing has really changed so far. My DH moved out last weekend. It's been really tough. I feel different everyday. I'm just trying to stay strong. I know I will be ok no matter what happens. The counseling thing didn't work out w/DH. He told them he wasn't 100% committed to working out our problems so basically they said it would be a waste of time for us to go. We are both doing individual counseling so hopefully that helps in some way.

I'm also waiting for my glucose test results. So far they just told me that I'm mildly anemic so I have to start on some iron supplements.

Trying - I'm so sorry to hear that joint counseling didn't work with DH. I'm still hopeful that individual counseling will help and make things better.

aims that is adorable!! wow! Good job :D We have so far to go with our nursery I don't even want to think about it.

Had my 28 wk u/s yesterday. Babies look good. Nothing new to report really. Doc says we've become one of those boring pregnant couples...which is a great thing considering all we've gone through! :D

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Thanks Aims! Your babies room looks adorable!

I got my glucose test results back and I'm ok. My number was 107. I'm starting to get swollen at night though. My ankles are disappearing and turning into cankles! LOL

Trying, I do hope the individual will help both of you get through this in one piece- you sound better, as if you're able to cope at least and that means a lot! And YAY on passing the glucose screen- to those that haven't, I'm sorry, but you'll be way healthier and 'lighter' than the rest of us..... you should hear what and how I've been eating..... AWFUL!!! Oh well, some days are better than others.

Aims: that is just adorable! Ours is still a work in progress, I want the PBKids Sweet Lambie set, but not only is it "salty" on price, but it isn't even able to be shipped until 11/24!!!!!!! :( Wish I had a fairy godmother :)

Seeing the OB on Thursday at 1, so I'm hoping to be seen every other week, since I'm 31 this week, but he'll probably only see me in 3 more weeks. Just working on cooking this little idget up!

Ian - That's insane your lambie kit can't be shipped until 11/24! Hopefully a miracle happens and it's available before then. I'm glad we have the wall decor done. All we need to do now is set up the cribs and start organizing everything.

AFM - I went to the peri today and he seemed much more sociable this time. I was relieved. The doctor's goal is to get me to 35 weeks and anything past that is great. I'm hoping to make it to 37 weeks. The twins are doing good. They are gaining 5-6oz a week. I have to see the doctor every 10 days. I've been having a lot of pelvic pain so the doctor checked my cervix. He said it was soft but closed. Such a relief! The next time I go, I'm being put on medicine to help mature their lungs.

Hi Ladies!!!!

Its been forever since i wrote anything this is because i had a crazy 8 weeks. Long story short- At 20 weeks they noticed my cervix was short around 2.7cm so i went back week later and it went down to 2cm. i was addmitted to the hospital because i had 6 contractions in 15 mins! I stayed there for couple of days where things got under control was put on meds and complete bedrest. I can only get up to pee and shower 2-3x a week. They could not put a stich in because it was too late and they were scared that it was going to put me in labor because of my contractions so i was not a candidate. I've been on bedrest 8 weeks and i had many many trips to L&D for contractions and but I'm still hanging on! I am at 28 weeks which was my doctors goal! and to everyones surprise and relief my cervix is around 2.3 cm and nice and closed so we'r praying that I'll make it another 6 weeks to 34 weeks. I've been on complete bed rest for 8 weeks so i know i can do 6 more weeks! The good news is that my cervix hasnt changed at all its even longer that at 21wks so this must be working I hope and pray I'll hang on for much longer. I've been reading your updates but just too weak and tired to write and everyday there is something different going on.

I hope everyone is doing well, did you guys start buying stuff for the baby? I have nothing! lol I was j/k to my hubby that if i give birth in 6 weeks we dont have anything to bring her in home lol

DYS: Woa. You've been a total champ for your little one(s)- can't remember if you have one or two in there! You'll be in my thoughts- although time seems to have flown by since I was 28 weeks, so I hope the same for you and that it continues to be successful and uneventful!

What a ride this is....

XOXO,
Nicole
