Sorry I have been MIA for awhile. Been home for the last two weeks recovering from OHSS. As most of you know, I had a horrible OHSS incident which put me in the hospital for 3 days, hoping that it was not internal bleeding. The swellness had gone down (no more looking like I was 6 months preggo), I'm officially off blood thinner medication, and my ovaries are shrinking day by day now.... I'm getting back to my normal shape, and yay... my pants fit me now!!!!!!
So anyway, today I went back to the doctors, and ultrasound showed that my ovaries were about 60mm (left) and 75mm(right). Normal ovaries usually range in the 30's. So I have quite a bit of deflating of the ovaries to do!!! LOL! Plenty of drinking water and walking should help it!
The 4 frozen embies are doing well in the freezer, LOL!!! I cant wait till I get all recovered and move on to implantation. I think the doc wants another menstrual cycle to think down my uterus lining first before proceeding with the fertilized egg transfer. Sigh, so another 4 weeks worth of waiting yet again...... Do you guys know what the usual procedure is for a frozen embyro transfer?
So, that's the latest and greatest. I'm excited that I get to go back to work tomorrow. I cant believe I said that, for once I'm happy that I get to go back to work!
Wow...glad you are doing better. That is so scary.
I am doing my first FET this month. I can give you an idea of what I am doing if it may help. My process is over a month and a half from start to finish. I got to pick my ET date, which was awesome, and they worked backward from there. A month to the day before ET, I started Lupron. A few days later took last BCP and then had some AF, not really much. I stick on Lupron until week of ET, when I switch to progesterone shots. About 2 and a half weeks prior to the ET I start estrogen patches and keep those going w/ progesterone until beta and hopefully after. The only monitoring is b/w & u/s for baseline and one b/w & u/s about 2 weeks before ET to check suppression and estrogen levels. Then just show up for ET when they tell me. It is so much easier then fresh cycle.
Good luck. Hopefully you can get started soon.

Hi Lyn,
I am super glad that you're recovering well now from that OHSS nightmare. Here's my experience w/ recent FET.
AFM - 2 days after AF, they did baseline b/w & u/s -(full bladder for external, then they let me pee and did the vaginal), and started me on Estrace (blue) pills 4 mg 3x per day. I came back on day 10 for b/w & u/s monitoring and told me to come back on Day 17 (9/26) for the FET, but 3 days before FET, i started Doxyclycline for 3 days and Progesterone Oil IM injection till i get my first Beta on 10/9. Just like Lisa10, i found that FET is easier than fresh transfer. I hope this gives you an idea. Goodluck on your cycle.
Sorry to hijack your post. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Lisa When I called my clinic the other day she also told me about 53 days from start to finish, but I cant remember if that included being on birth control pills or not...we were discussing the possibility of not using birth control pills, however since I am still so irregular since having Zach, that I am having 24 day cycles instead of 28, I may have to. Did your 6 weeks process include birth control pills or would you add on another month to the process? I am thinking about picking mid-December as our month and dont know if I should be getting the birth control pills now or my next period. I'm waiting for the doc to call me back right now, but think it will be tomorrow now. Just curious and impatient. LOL
