Rhonda-I feel the same way. I want everyone here to have their wishes realized How are you and the fam doing? settled in at home? I'm so happy for ya'll.
DD is doing well. She appears to be teething with a few possible molars coming in, ouch! She had a fabulous time in Boston with no troubles flying. All in all a great experience. Wished the football teamed faired as well as she alas we lost to the senior team from San Francisco. On a positive note, I played in the inagurual all-star match the dirty south against the rest of the nation. And we came out the victors, whoot Woo! DD was their to cheer mama on to victory. She promptly fell asleep after the match and slept through the celebrations irish-style, at the beer tent. Lots of dancing and drinking from victory cups...thankfully we just had a plaque
Catharine,
I love how active you are. You have more energy than most 20 year olds. Love that. We are adjusting well. DD has some reflux and dr put her on zantac. she will b fine one moment and then just start screaming the next. most nights she only gets up one time around 3:30am but some like last night she cries alot. I worry. She seems to cry for no reason. diaper changed she will have just eaten yet sh will scream to the top of her lungs and we dont know why. I hope she is ok. I wonder if she has some colic. Glad to hear you are doing well. take care

My name is Hil and we were in different cycle groups but I was "lurking" when you started your first IVF cycle. I was so hopeful that it would be successful and that I could have some hope for my own eggs.
Anyway, after 3 unsuccessful IVF attempts (2 chemical pregnancies and this last one was completely negative-only 3 eggs were retrieved and only 2 fertilized) I think it is time to find a donor egg.
How did you begin the process? It seems like it happened so quickly for you? And most importantly, GOOD LUCK tomorrow !!!!! I bet you have lots and lots of eggs!!!!!
Hil: When I started my first IVF with my own eggs I pretty much knew what I was up against!! I wanted to go straight to donor eggs but DH wanted to try mine first which is understandable! My first cycle was well, pretty unresponsive, I had like 3 eggs on retrieval day. Then BAM!! the eggs were gone, I had ovulated! I cried and the nurse said..when do you want to start your next cycle? I told her ASAP but I want to use donor eggs. Our clinic has a donor program so I walked down the hall and sat at the Coordinators desk still crying!!! A week or so later we had a match!!!
Actually, it took a little longer then I thought, but I am sooooo greatful and now in my 2ww!!!! Do please consider it, it was an easier pill to swallow than another failed cycle with my own eggs!! Good Luck!!!

AFM-Okay this last month I finally was able to detect ovulation, whoot woo, with the cheapo sticks. Sadly DH was not up to performing....stressed with his work and all. I'm still hopefull that just one survived long enough to fertilize. He's low numbers and very slow motility so fingers crossed. So the back up plan. I called the RE clinic and got in this past wednesday. Long story short, new RE same clinic, old RE moved to another state. Interestingly they have a 25% discount going at the moment. Not only that many of the specialty pharmacies and drug manufacturers have specials running on the fertility drugs. Hmmm. Anyways, no discussion of my age what so ever. I'm past the age [2 years] limit of the clinic's imposed use of patient eggs. No, immediately started the process in motion. Waiting for AF, then we do HSG to make sure the uterine surface is without scaring from C-section. then wait for ovulation before starting the IVG cycle. Retrieval set for second week of Novemeber. Crazy fast. So, here's my optomistic hope. That AF doesn't appear, because DH had a good strong swimmer that penetrated the egg and we save even more by not going through the cycle. but if AF does visit at least we are in que. Call me crazy. Had to share my latest quick news, all happened within the week.
I have not been to this place for a while now BAM, you are in action! Great! I am happy that you decided to try for the second. Hope you become preggo soon and I am sure to come back from time to time to cheer you on!

Hey Catharine,
DD is doing great. She is sleeping so good at night. she eats around 10:30 usually and then at 3:30 then at 7:30. Not bad at all. I am enjoying her so much. She is very popular with the family. My 20 year old daughter is spoiling her but I love it. So are you doing IVF? Last I read you were trying natural. Did you change your mind? I wish you all the luck. I really hope it works out for you so DD will have a sibling. Take care.

Nsurga: thinking about you, sending lots of babydust
Rhonda: I'm already jealous that you have DD on a good nightly routine. Yes IFV. We were doing the ala natural and I was trying to detect ovulation with the stix with no such luck for 2 of 3 cycles. So, I was convinced I wasn't ovulating and made my mind to call the RE. That decision coincided with the 3 round of stix which did show ovulation, finally I decided to call because last time it took 3 months to get in, this go around 3 days. I'm guessing not too many client/patients these days. So, it happened rather suddenly. We were hoping Murphy's law was working for us and that I would be preggo naturally after making the appt. Alas luck was not on my side as AF arrive Sunday The good news is we're in the que for IVF. I have my HSG and trial transfer next Monday morning. We test for ovulation which will dictate when to start the meds. We will be using the same protocol that gave me BFP before. I can not believe I'm on this rollercoaster again. I'm excited and scared. By second week in November should have transfer, just after DD year birthday. Oddly there was no mention of looking at ovarian reserve, nor my age.
