michaelajt73- re: your faint lines...my first positive was extremely faint too, I didn't even tell my DH about it cuz I thought it was neg. I guess I thought the line had to be darker for it to be pos. haha. So for the next few days it was still a faint line and I finally told DH and he was like "Your Pregnant!" I was like What! Are you sure? lol... so I stopped until about a week later and my friends house I did one and it was really dark so I think that means your preggers babe! Stop POAS for a while! You are right...it is evil!

Everyone that responded re: boxers He's laying in bed with me right now again...he's is the sweetest/cutest thing. I tell him we are trying to give him someone to play with...he's my little boy and there have been so many times when I've felt down about all this IVF stuff and I just go up to him and start petting him and playing with him and he lifts me up again...makes me smile and laugh. Dogs are truly best friends and family members, I don't know what I'd do w/out him!

miyaya- Mommy and bean day sounds like fun! What did you do? i hope one day I can have a mommy and _____ day, one day about 8.5 months from now! In my book I was reading yesterday it said that Cherokee Indian babies never cried and if they did the mom would pinch their nose and the baby would stop almost instantly...have you ever heard of that?

Wolfie- how ya doin' mama! You hanging in there with your PMA? You are our rock so you better be! Your little sac will be seen soon, don't you worry.

J&C- I can't wait until your transfer either girl. I'm praying for you, after what you went through with stim, your eggies are probably strong as an ox and you are going to have some terrrrrriffic embies!

jaydentd- Grow follies Grow! Isn't it relieving to get that news?! I can't wait to hear how much they've grown over the weekend! Your ER is just around the corner now! Yay!

Michele- still praying hard for you hon. We have not given up hope so you can't either! Esp. with your history. I don't blame you for preparing yourself for the worst, I would be doing the same thing, but please don't give up. Your BFP will come.

AFM- just taking it easy again today. Nothing new to report, hopefully my Blastocysts are attaching to a site on the uterine lining (2dpt according to the chart!) lol. BFP's and the best of luck to everyone!

Last cycle I had nothing at my baseline and only ended with 1 follie in my left ovary after 8 or 9 days of stims! WOO HOO!! Just waiting for my bloodwork call to start injections. :)

J & C I am so super excited for you too!!!!!!!!!!!! That's awesome!

Good Morning! Well I triggered last night so I am on target for ER tomorrow. Went in today for some more BW and DH has been trying to take care of me although I dont make it easy. Although I havent gained more weight my abdomen is so swollen because of the OHSS.

J&C...wow! awesome fert report...how wonderful!

CT Michele...I am still pulling for you but I know how you feel. I am praying
for you.

jaydentd...I am on antagon, bravelle and menapur. Its the same protocol I have been on in the past except when we were trying to do FET but I hyperstimulated on Lupron too so who knows whats going on with this body. :(

katie99...yes the new med for me is cabergoline. I started it last night. i really hope it works. My RE also has a new protocol to give antagon after ER so maybe with the combo of both it wont be as bad as it was in the past for me.

Take care everyone and I will post again after ER tomorrow.

Hi everyone -

Hope that you all are having a great weekend! this is my last day of semi- bed rest Yippee! I think after 4 days of this my DH is Sooo ready to go back to work! the poor thing has been taking care of me (pretty easy) the house ( not so easy as i'm a clean freak!) and 2 very high maintinence dogs (SO not easy!) so far he said he doesnt get to stop all day ( Yes dear, welcome to our world!) I've been feeling a few twinges but nothing major. but I can say that after 6 PIO shots, I'm running out of fresh skin already - ouch the lumps! I do remember that RE said if the beta is positve he will take me off the PIO in ethyl oleate and switch me to actual oil ( he said there is alcohol in the ethyl oleate.) So why put me on it in the first place?

sancap - is Remy taking up all the room in the bed? "bed rest nazi" you are too funny! 1 more day til freedom!

miyaya -dont sell this cycle short, you never know! crossed for you!

stats -crossed for you tomorrow!!

j & c - OMG!! 7 all grade A? YIPPEEE!! You'll have some snowbabies! Soo much luck for your ET on WED!!! Oh yes, a slow stim was the way to go!!

wolffie -hope you're hanging in there! cant wait to hear that all is well!!

shelby -Miss Shelby, are you out baby shopping? we miss you!

jaydentd -grow those follies, girl! GL with your u/s tomorrow!

teachermom -I'm Sooo happy to hear that! I had 4 at baseline too! This is really a great start! I hope that you surprise your RE with a great cycle. This sounds like a good one!!

prayin -with all that you've been through recently, I wish you a fab ER tomorrow with NO OHSS!! many healthy eggies!! let us know!

ARRGGHH!! time to get back in bed
hugs & prayers to us all!! xoxo

Akowens – Don’t give up hope yet. You could continue to get neg. HPT’s and STILL get a BFP on Tuesday! PMA PMA! Same goes for you Miss Michelle! Please stay positive.

Prayin – So sorry about the OHSS. Mjay had a bad case of OHSS and they put her on Cabergoline. It sounded like it helped her when she was taking it. Good Luck tomorrow. Hoping for tons of eggies!

Teachermom – YAY for AF! It’s about time the old hag showed up! And even better about the follies! That’s awesome!

BEI – good idea about changing RE. I think you may get a better result

J&C – I agree about the bedrest. I’ve always been an early riser and DH does not function properly until he’s had @ least 2 cups of coffee. When I was getting up @ 5am to poas, he would wake up and ask what the result was and then say he’s ‘saving up’ by going back to sleep. He’s so funny! That is so great about the fert report!!!! You’ll be preggers before you know it!!!

Michaelajt73 – POAS is addictive isn’t it?!

Jennymag28 – Hello! So you are in the dreaded 2ww also! It seems like it takes FOREVER, but it’ll be over with before you know it. Glad to have you!

Cheekyone – Thank you! How have you been?

Michele – Still wishing you lots of luck tomorrow! Just hang in there. Just keep praying and HE will take care of you. Like we all discussed much earlier in this thread, everything happens for a reason and HE knows when the time its right for you. Don’t give up!

Sancap – LOL about the Cherokee babies. That is news to me.

Wolffie – I can’t wait to hear how your sac(s) look!!!!

Katie – LOL about DH! It’s so nice to have someone to help out! I haven’t actually been out shopping, but I have been talking to my cousin. She has a boy and a girl and TONS of stuff she is ready to get rid of! I told her I would take it all. Maybe I’ll need BOTH boy and girl stuff!

Tonya – your day is getting so close!!!!

Miyaya – When is your beta? It’s coming up soon I know.

MLB & Stats – Good Luck tomorrow! BFP BFP BFP!!!

We have 3 betas tomorrow and I hope that all 3 of these very deserving ladies get their BFP!!!!!

Hi Everyone,

I dont have a lot of time for personals. But I do want to say that I am so proud of you awesome ladies for plugging along and doing what ever it takes to make a beautiful baby!! Way to go!!

Teachermom-yay for stimming!!! woo hoo!!!

Girls that have beta's coming up: Good Luck!!!! Sticky dust to you!!!

AFM: I had my u/s and bw yesterday. The doc saw 10 follies and 4 of them were about 13mm and 2 were 9mm (i never heard back about my E2 levels). So hopefully they hace grown more and when i go back tomorrow we will see tomorrow if I can have a trigger shot in my near future. The wedding was great! But of course there were 2 preggo ladies at our table. I felt like a freak for starring at their bellies all night!

baby, sticky, growing and darkening dust to all!!

sancap - Thanks!! Our transfer will be on Wednesday which is a 5 day. I'm really excited about that too, b/c our first cycle was a 3 day, and we have a DD from that cycle. I'm hoping that great embies and a 5 day transfer will prove to be a great mix too.

teachermom - YIPPEE for 4 follies!!!! And I'm so glad you'll be stimming!!! :D

prayin - GL with ER tomorrow. Can't wait to hear how many eggies you have!!!

katie - Oh, the PIO shots. UGH!!! I've only had 2, and my hips are already starting to be sore. I'm right there with ya. I don't have any lumps (massage really well in the injection area afterwards), but I definitely have the pain.

I am scheduled for my beta tomorrow, but contemplating putting it off until Tuesday. I have taken over teaching a college course when the regular instructor became ill and tomorrow I'll meet my twenty teaching assistants for a weekly training. Seems like a bad idea to get bad news right before that! I haven't gotten any faint lines since that one Friday morning. Boy did I go from on top of the world to feeling pretty down...but I know that it is not over till it is over. Still....bummed.

It is so exciting to read about people stimming and going through the more active parts of the process. Good luck and I'll check in from time to time.

First IVF cycle

Post by dnbbruce »

Good Evening! I am going through my first IVF cycle. I will hopefully have my eggs retrival on Thursday. I have been taking Lupron, Bravelle and Menopur. How have these medications made others feel?
I have had many miscarriages and ovrain cysts in the past. Because of them I am left with one ovary and a blocked tube. This is what brings my husband and I here. We have been married for five years.
I wish everyone lots of luck on their path to creating or adding to their families.
I am looking to communicate with others experiencing this same journey.

Dnbbruce - Welcome!!! We are so glad to have you join us! So sorry to hear about your m/c, but your time is coming. We have several women who have been trying to overcome many different circumstances to finally get their BFP! Woohoo! Just talking about it makes me excited! :D As for the meds, Lupron is the only one you are on that I also took and it just gave me very bad headaches. Nothing too awful bad. Congrats on ER coming up! I'm going to add you to our 'family' list on pg. 96. I will move the list later today because we have some BFP's going to happen today!!!! 8) . Great to 'meet' you and hope to hear much more from you!
