Rio- My mom got Ella a pair from Target, they have hard enough soles to stand on, but are flexible so she can still crawl around in them. I like them so much I just went and got another pair in the next size up, they were only $12.99. They also have a whole bunch that look just like the robeez, but also only 12.99 instead of the usual 30. Go to target.com, click on baby, then click on boys pre-walkers under shoes. You will see them all and can read the reviews that say they are just as good as the pricey ones. I saw a lot of these in the store too so you can go and try them on his feet before buying.

Hi Rio,
I bought my boys pedipeds... I really like them, they look very comfy and the boys seem not to even notice they are wearing them, but are around $30 a pair, very expensive since their feet grow sooo fast...
I love love love targets shoes. Parker has 3 pairs from there and I bought him a little brown pair to go w/ his bluejeans and plaid shirts for the fall. SUper cute and $11.99

Thank you for this postings! I am not from US and shoes here are very expensive too... so I buy them through amazon, I will definitely check target.com...
I bought a few pairs off of ebay of good shoes. Also, I am going to take advantage of this coupon good till Oct 12th for a pair of Stride Rite shoes. They measured him as a 3.5W 6 weeks ago and then a 4.5W a few days ago. Feet grow sooo fast. I cant just buy them anywhere because his feet are so wide and he is in 1/2 sizes. I didnt see any shoes I like well enough to pay $35 for, but now with a coupon that my local mommies board posted...I think I will go back today.
Hope someone else can use the coupon, too.... just print it.
We use Robeez. If you buy them before your baby needs them, and start using them as soon as the baby outgrows the next smaller size, they really do last 6 months. That helps with the cost over time. They may seem oversized at first, but that turns out to be okay because of their flexibility - they'll scrunch up a bit, then stretch out as the baby's foot grows.
Our daughter seems pretty interested in music and dance - dance videos are the only videos that will keep her attention - so we want to use soft shoes to let her maintain some foot flexibility. That might not be an issue for everyone.
