Fitz, you're right it is quiet! I think it's the pregnancy hormones again...

I have my last RE appt. Wed and my first OB next week. I can't wait to see the little one's heartbeat again.

I'm just struggling with icky all-day sickness and fatigue. Zofran has helped tremendously. Fingers crossed this will go away in the next few weeks.

How is everyone feeling? Anyone starting to show?

Happy Monday!

I started to pop out almost right away . . . my cousin, who is a dula, says it is "uterus bloat." Ugh . . . I used to be able to suck my tummy in . . . not even a possibility now . . . :D

Hi ladies,

Deftonesmo it must have been amazing to see the arm buds and legs make it seem more real.

Cheryl hope the m/s gets better for you

Fitzjr still praying for baby b so you can put 3 little babies in your ticker, which is very cute by the way.

I also have a small swelling, my work trousers dont shut but i wear a tunic so you cant see the gap. Does anyone else suffer from cramps??? Mine are mild but there most days i am trying not to worry and hope its the uterus stretching, i also had some small episodes of brown spotting last wk it wasnt much but gives me a heart attack when i see it again i know that brown is ok but ughhh. Oh god i am such a worrier, any body else like this??? Other than that i am doing great, j is brilliant still doing all cooking and cleaning so i am having a real easy time, cant wait for 1st trimester to end so i can breathe a bit!! Also cant wait to see my ticker change to 10 wks tomorrow

Hope everyone is doing well, sad news of Rosario so to all our multiple mums have a safe and happy pregnancy and lots of relaxing xxxx

Hi All

Post by may2010 »

I had a little scare on Friday......started having abd pain-very diffuse without any discharge. Immed rushed to the doc and they did a repeat US which showed that baby was doin fine. The sac was appr size and the FHR was 150(as expected). It was very scary though.
My next US is on 19th and then they will transfer me to an obstetrician of my choice.

Reading you'll's blog I feel my symptoms are very different.Ironically I dont have any nausea/vomiting(not that I want it). But I am so exhausted that words cannot express. I may start cooking something and in the middle I will have to lie down. If I dont eat ....I will get nauseated.....And my cravings are out of the world.....I know I am going to put on a lot of weight!!

Sorry ladies for being so MIA. I read everyday just couldn't bring myself to post until after my last ultrasound. I know silly, but since I haven't had any nauseau at all and the only thing that truly is kicking in is hunger, I just wanted to make sure everything was ok. I truly am the biggest worry wart. SO, with that said, we had our second u/s last Friday at 9wks2dys and all was greaat. Heartbeat good, measuring right on time and I could just start to see arm and leg buds with a big round tummy. Made me so happy to see!!!!!!!

I've not officially been released from my IVF doc and moved onto my OB who I love thank goodness. And today is the last day of all of my meds except of course vitamins/aspirin. Yahoo!! Next hurdle is our 12 week u/s which I'm looking forward to. Since we did PGD I'm not expecting anything to be wrong, just a healthy little baby growing.

So glad to see everyone is doing so well. I can't believe how many multiples we have which is so great to read. Wishing you all good thoughts and lots of sleep.

Hello all! I was in the same boat, too - I didn't want to post until my ultrasound yesterday to make sure everything is still okay. We have two identical twins each with their own sac and one singleton. They are all measuring at 8w6d, which is exactly where they should be, and have hb's in the 170's. That seems high to me but I can't find anything online that says it is abnormal so...
I have loved reading everyone else's stories and I am jealous of those of you with no morning sickness....it is a killer! I am trying to hold off on meds but might cave this week.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Allie- Good to hear from you again! It is a relief, seeing those babies on the screen, isn't it? About the hb's, I asked the tech a couple of weeks ago and she said that they usually top off in the mid 170's between 8-9 weeks and then they usually start to go back down from there. Your babies are perfectly within the normal range.

kristyb- I worry all the time too. I think that i've been having some bad dreams too, so it's hard to feel like it's all okay. I think we're stuck this way for the rest of our pregnancies! whenever you're having doubts, don't be afraid to post, at least you can get some reassurance from us, because I bet we all feel the same way!

may- your symptoms aren't so different. Some people on here (faith-with triplets- for one) aren't experiencing m/s at all either! I think most of us are downright exhausted too though. Every pregnancy is different, so try to remember that if you get worried.

gi- Happy 10 weeks! Yes, i'm cramping too!

deftonesmo- I think I started to pop out right away. It's almost funny when i'm dressing for work because I think it looks totally obvious and i'm sure people are talking.

cheryl- Zofran is a wonder drug. I usually only have to take 1 a day and I try to manage it as much as I can before I cave. When it comes to being at work, being nauseous is not an option, so I usually cave at about noon.

Fitz- Hope everything goes well at the RE on thursday! Good luck! Next week is my "graduation day". Bye bye weekly u/s, it's going to be hard!

AFM- Not much going on here, just totally exhausted. Was at the RE on Friday for u/s and babies are doing great. Next appointment is this Friday at 10w2d. I can't wait for the second trimester either!

Quick thread crash about the cramping!

Don't know if you're all still on PIO, but I cramped like a booger until I went off of the shot. Within a few days of going off of it I was cramp free (until I nasty infection caused cramping, but that was an entirely dif. cramp.)

hey ladies!

i haven't posted in awhile b/c there is nothing new to report. i'm having a difficult time getting an appointment with the maternal/fetal medicine group so i have not had another appointment since my RE dishcarged me. i'm getting kind of nervous about that. i have a regular OB/GYN, but she does not deliver babies at the hospital of my choice. however, i know if i called her, i could get an appt tomorrow or even later today b/c i have been her patient since i was 17. i'm stuck!

regarding cramps- only cramp when i have an orgasm (sorry TMI).

still no m/s, but the exhaustion is real. i had a wedding, baby shower, and a family celebration to go to on saturday. i fell asleep on my aunt's couch and didn't wake up till everyone was gone! i think the majority of my exhaustion is related to my busy schedule with my job and internship. i noticed that since i was off on monday and i got to sleep in, i wasn't nearly as sleepy as usual. i also have problems with peeing so often in the middle of the night, i don't get enough sleep then either!

anyone's uterus feel heavy? i notice that when i stand, i have a heavy feeling in my uterus.

jg- did you go to the baby and family show in schaumburg? i decided against it, b/c i went to one when i got engaged and i just left feeling completely overwhelmed. i don't need any more of that right now.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry, did not have much to report lately.

Gi - I had some red spotting as well right when my normal period would have been last week and rushed to the doc. He indicated it can be normal when the hormones are adjusting and specifically around the time of a missed period. I was relieved to learn the U/S was fine.

May - I also do not have any symptoms at all, except for a leaky bladder (when sneezing) and some soreness of the breasts at night every so often. Nothing much, though. My doc told me I should be glad and not worry too much. The issue with the bladder is supposed to go away around wk. 12 or so and can come back at the end of the pregnancy. Not a great thing, but I can manage.

AFM - I was upset to hear that the baby was about 5 days behind schedule at my last appointment and have worried about this since then. I even called my IVF clinic again who confirmed this can be very normal. My ObGyn is not at all worried because he has seen plenty of babies, would not even adjust the birth date because of this. HB good and all else fine, the baby is growing every week as it is supposed to. Just weird. I did have a wonderful experience at my last appt. getting a 3D shot of the baby. My doc said it is difficult to get good ones this early on, but you can actually see the little head and some beginning facial features. Neat :)

Thanks JG & Luckyone

Its amazing how these hormones make us think. On one side I want to have nausea to experience what some of you have described.....and I am sure once I have it ......I will hate it.

I also had some brown spotting before the US one day and the doc said its normal to have occasional spotting. Need to look out for any 'pain' associated with spotting and if it is 'persistent'

I am counting hours and minutes to my next US.

Is it only me OR anyone else is doing this......WATCHING YOUR TICKER 10 TIMES A DAY!!.......and thinking why is it not moving fast!!

Take care you all.

May- you're so right about the ticker! My is messed up though. Once a week, it ends up a day behind and then it miraculously catches up a day or so later. I should be 10 weeks today and I was excited to see the change. mjay or anyone else using lilypie having the same probs?

mjay- no baby expo for me either. I'm just too tired! I guess it's a good thing that i'm not running out and spending a ton of money, but I'm always so exhausted. Yesterday, I had a half day at work, so I went home and took a two hour nap before class and I still almost fell asleep in the middle of class. It's a really hard adjustment for me because i'm not a napper at all! I know what you mean about having busy days, in November, I have to present at a conference (for 500 people!) in the morning, go to a bridal shower in the afternoon, and i'm hosting a bachelorette party that night. I'm already dreading how long that day is going to be! I know what you mean about the doctor situation, i'm having a hard time making a decision too. My RE recommended a doctor in Elgin and I called to make an appointment and I can't get in to see her until i'm 16 weeks along. Isn't that a little too late to just be meeting my doctor? What do you guys think? Prior to seeing her, they set up an appointment for me with the midwife for next week so that she can request the tests (NT Scan, etc.) that they want to run, but I am worried that if it's taking this long to see the doctor, is it always going to be like this? With twins, I am just a little concerned.
