I went to Institute Marquis in Barcelona. They were awesome. I would highly recommend them. Don't know yet if it was successful, in my 2ww. I know they are a bit more pricey then some of the others but their professionalism impressed me compared to a few others I researched. The cost was 10,000 euro plus some meds, tests, and travel costs.
hi firstdiamond,
congratuations on your BFP!! I'm on a DE waiting list right now and will be having my tmt in Prague. Glad to hear IM worked out for you! Always good to read about a DE-BFP...gives me great hope! Again, congratulations and all the best!
xx summer
I don't know much about Prague. Are you going there for the low cost? Spain didn't have a waiting list and the donor is kept strickly confidential, which we liked. Don't want someone knocking on my door years later, if you know what I mean. I wish you the best in Prague though. It seems like things move slow in the beginning but then in the end it goes quick. The 2ww is the worst!!
The clinic was recommended by the RE where we did our IVF tmt. If after our 1st consult there, we hadn't felt it was right for us, then we probably would be trying another clinic. But so far our experience has been a positive one. Donors in the Czech Republic are also kept confidential. Thanks for the words of encouragement! The 2ww can be really difficult, but I will be happy to get there again...if you know what I mean, especially when it will give me some good news at the end.
All the best to you! xx summer
I just had a treatment with DE in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Good clinic, no waiting list for egg donation and good price €3,600. English speaking contact: diana.smith@gyncentrum.com
I am on my 2ww, 5 more days to testing day.
Wishing all of you BFP
Anna-Maria, can you tell me more about your DE experience in Czech Republic? I am seriously considering going over there using My IVF Alternative, a service that helps you get where you need to be, picks you up at the airport, takes you to appointments, translates, etc. in Brno, CR. But wow, the cost you just paid is a good deal lower than where I'm considering going, about $2000 USD. What were their success rates? How did you find them? I'm just trying to thoroughly research this before I jump in. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
I am not sure where you are based but most UK ladies come directly to CZ clinics. The doctors and some staff speak English and lots of young people in Czech Republic also speak good English. You will have no difficulties getting all information. Please contact Diana and she will get back to you very quickly. I found her very good in organising my treatment.
You can fly to Prague and take a train to Ostrava.
As for the extra 2,000 going to agency, you can always tell yourself that if you are successful it would be great to spend all the money on the baby, and if you are not successful the first time you would need money for your next treatment. If you arrange everything yourself that would be only little extra effort but a lot of money saved. IVF treatments are very expensive and we should shop around and get value for money.
hiya - I had donor cycle at Gennet in Prague ( 15 min walk from city centre)- excellent clinic - nurses and docs all spoke excellent english - cannot fault them - if you want more info just PM me !!
