Dear Poohgirl,
sounds like this cycle was certainly worth the wait!! Wishing you all the best for your transfer this week and for a 2WW that flies by and ends with a nice BFP!! :D :D :D

I'll keep checking in as often as possible in the next days to see how you all are doing. If you don't hear from me, just assume no news is good news and I'll be back in touch later in the month once things have settled down to check on all of you lovely women. The only new news I have is that the baby finally decided to turn and is head down - it happened in the 36th week. Either on its own, or thanks to a few yoga positions my midwife recommended. So for those of you who are pregnant, don't fret if it takes a while!

Sending you lots of PMA, sticky baby dust and healthy pregnancies!
xx summer

Wow, lots of activity and positive news.

I have been terrible about keeping up and posting. I have either been too busy at work or too tired when I get home to even think about getting on the computer.

Summer. I am excited for you ann glad to hear you have the energy for all your nesting activities. Did you ever find out what sex it is?

Pooh, Your fert report sounds great, you should have an excellent pick of the litter and some frosties.

Kim, Congrats on the twins. I can't believe how many women on the board have twins, a very fruitful group we have.

Pauline, it is exciting to finally start meds, it feels like you are finally doing something.

Clemo, I am jealous. I'm sitting here in Colorado and it is rainy and drizzly, fall/winter is in the air. While you are sipping cocktails with your feet up on the beach-- doesn't seem fair!

Hopeful, hopefully you had a good weekend and are feeling well.

Gigi, I hope things are going well for your son. How old is he?

NJ, sorry to hear you are going crazy. 2ww suck and it seems like there are a lot of them. The 1st 2ww, then 2ww for u/s, then 2ww between visits...etc. You are getting within range for POAS though.

AFM, I feel as if I am huge. I can now only fit in my fat clothes and by afternoon or evening, even those are too small. Maternity clothes are too big and not exactly flattering right now. I have only gained about 1-2 pounds, but my body is changing so much. We finally started telling a few people. My husband is so private that he would probably prefer that we don't say anything at all until we are walking around with baby in hand. I told a few people in my family and one friend. DH hasn't told anyone in his family, he wants to wait until we go see them at Thanksgiving. Won't that be nice, I walk in huge and he's like by the way...I was hoping for some great growth in the boob department, but alas I went from an A cup to a full A sometimes a B cup. I have a friend who is pg and has porn star boobs, why do some girls get all the luck?

Eating is an experience anymore. I am starving most of the time, then I can start eating and whatever just sounded good sounds terrible. I don't throw up too often, but have my moments. Meat is probably one of the worst things I have issues with. I am lactose intolerant and don't do milk very well and my best days, but now I can't have any.

Well this cold I have has gone from sore throat & slight cough to full blown cough and head cold - I'm now worrying and having nightmares over this cycle and scared this d*mn cold just won't go away. We are supposed to be going to Prague in approx 2 weeks and I'm now lacking the PMA and calmness that I had.

Feeling very sorry for myself right now

Hope everyone else is doing much much better than me.

Pauline,

Hang in there sweetie. Your cold will improve in the next few weeks. Rest and lots of fluids. Plus, people get pregnant all of the time when sick. I was exposed to swine flu when doing the transfer and my regular doc said even if I was to get it, it wouldn't impede the transfer success. It's not a good feeling to be sick but it won't hurt your transfer. Also, now is the time to get meds if you need them before you transfer. Hang in there.

Hi all I just got back from my transfer out of all my eggs 7 made it to blastocysts today, 5 were early blasts, 1 was just starting to expand and 1 fully expanded so were put in 3. My RE said she did 3 in the last time this donor was used and that resulted in a singleton---I am a little scared of triplets but will take whatever God gives us! I am also a little scared that I will ruin this boards positives but I will get my PMA.

I will do personals later I am a little wiped from the valium they gave me. Thanks to everyone for their positive thoughts!

Poohgirl, keep up the PMA your BFP is coming!

Pauline, sorry to hear about your cold but I agree, by the time the transfer comes you'll be feeling much better.

Stef, I hear you on feeling huge, I'm in the same boat ... my pants are to small and the pregnant pants are still big. I tried on the maternity tops and my husband laughed ... looked like I was wearing a tent! I tried one of the belly bands, bought it at Target. They work well, allowing you to wear your regular pants unbuttoned for a little longer. My drawback is going to the restroom is a little timely with all the layers. I only have 4 minute passing periods so I'm nervous to wear those at work. As if we're not broke from all this now I'm buying clothes for work. Goodness. Sorry to hear about your food aversions, that would make eating a challenge. Isn't that suppose to go away in the 2nd trimester though?

Summer, good luck with the delivery. Can't wait to hear what the sex is and know you have your precious bundle in your arms.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

AFM, we had a good weekend with my husbands family. We took them pictures of the last u/s. The doctor gave me about 6, so it was cool. They kind of figured we were trying so they weren't surprised I was pregnant, but definitely surprised about twins. We ate a lot. Check back in soon!

Hi

I'm back in the land of the living. Am finally starting to feel human again except for a horrid cough! Thanks for your support ladies. It was a help and stopped me from going insane. Honestly, having a cold any other time is ok but this time it was the end of the world for me and made me freak a bit.

I go for my scan on Monday (day 11) to see how my lining is progressing. Are there any side-effects from the Estrogen - so far don't think I'm experience any, although the cold could be masking them?

Can you ladies tell me roughly what day of your cycle was the donor ER and then your ET? Also, did any of you decide on assisted hatching for your embryos?

I've been phoning the clinic to try and get a date out of them for ER as DH needs to be there to give sample and so far they can't advise us. DH is keen as mustard to book flights and hotel.

Carolyn, great to hear from you and you are 20 weeks already - wow - good luck with your next scan. Are you going to find out sex of babies?

Summer, hope you have finished nesting and can't wait to hear your news next week - good luck.

Pooh, good luck with the 2ww.

Hi to Stef, Hopeful, Gigi, Clemo, Kelly and anyone I may have missed.

Have a great weekend.

Hi guys:-) Happy Friday!!!

Caroline it is so good to hear from you! I am glad everything is going well.

Pauline it is getting so close right now, I am glad you are feeling better.

Hi to the rest of the girls 8)

AFM--Doing fine until this afternoon when one of my co-workers said I looked all spoltchy I have red patches over my chest and neck and legs, called my RE they think I am allergic to the PIO :( So I have to switch to the pessies (as the ladies across the lake would say) suppositories over here, but I can't get them until Monday so I have to be all itchy all weekend. Otherwise I am keeping rather calm:-)

Hey Carolyn :D
My Beta is Oct 19 so one week from today--I am starting to get a little crazy  I was a little queasy this AM and had some low back pain today so I am trying not to read too much into it, but it is the start of my roller coster ride. I don't think I will POAS but that what I feel today, tomorrow I will likely change my mind :P

How is everyone else doing??

Hi all-

I have been on the June/July and Sept/Oct boards lately but I had to search for a new board for my "new" situation. I really need advice... I have had 4 failed IUIs and 2 canceled IVF cycles. Both IVF cycles were canceled because I have low egg reserve and I'm a poor responder to meds. My DH also has low sperm count/motility. I am 32, DH is 35. My doctor said our only shot now is to get donor eggs. I know nothing about the cost/process so I really just need to hear from ladies who've been there, done that. How do you go about finding the donor? Is it much more expensive than IVF?

I appreciate your help and advice!

Welcom Ray:-)

This is always a tough decisions. As far as cost's goes my donor cycle came to $26000 and that includes all meds--My insurance does not cover anything. My clinic had their own in house donor pool which is nice since my RE hand picked them and it was cheaper as I didn't have to pay for a agency costs as well. If you haven't already go back and read the first 10 pages or so of this board--they talk a lot about donor eggs and genetics. I also use donor sperm since we have male factor pretty bad. Check with your RE about options they for you and what they will charge you. Also there are several here that went over seas, I understand it is much cheaper but has it's own stress involved but something to look at.

Good Luck Hope this helps!!!

Ray,

I think cost really depends on your program and area you live in. Our insurance doesn't cover anything. we live in Colorado and DE programs for us was between $26,000-$35,000+. We decided to go out of the country to Czech Republic. The experience was good, but also nerve racking and some of the coordination with my docs here was difficult. The cost in the Czech Republic was about 6,000 Euro. The exchange rate was better a few months ago then it is now. Traveling was about double that and then there is also the cost to leave your home/job/kids/pets for the length of time you are over there. G/L

AFM, Well I finally hit my 12 wk mark. I have been holding my breath for this day. Everything is looking good. Little one was moving about and h/b was in the 160's. I am starting to feel better, but not sure if that is because where I am in the pg or that I have been weaning off the progesterone. I am now only doing PIO every other day.

Hope you are all doing well and Summer I am thinking about you!

Stef
