Hello Ladies,
I just got my beta results today and am a BFP!!!! Yeah...this is our third attempt (one frozen, two Fets) so I guess the third time is the charm. I have to go again on Wednesday for beta 2. My beta today was 220. I had 2 blasts transferred. Was supposed to have beta test yesterday, but since it was Sunday, there was no where to draw and run it.
My due date if this all sticks is June 20Th.
I am soooo excited and totally exuberant.
I am glad you guys are here to share this journey as well.

Hi I am 29 years old and this is my first time that I have gone thru IVF. I found out that I was pregnant and am due for Approx June 14th next year. There is hope but I tell you what I am terrified of miscarrying etc etc

Welcome Cork Girl- Do you like wine? Just wondering since DH and I own a wine shop. No wine for you though. I understand your fear of m/c. I get my second beta tomorrow, so I am still in limbo as to how things are going for me. What were your #'s. Any special reason to fear m/c, like previous ones? Hang in there, I will be here for you and you the same for me.
Shelby- How was your third beta? Your numbers are amazing. How many and on what day did you transfer? Any possibilities of multiples with those numbers?

Melanie - third beta looked good. It was 3753. Transferred 2 embies on 9/23 First U/S is on Monday and I can't wait!!! There is a possibility of multiples, but I'm not holding my breath. I would fine with a single or twins, but they are going to have to pick mine and DH's jaws off the floor if there are more. My lower abdomen already feels like there is a soccer team in there! FYI: I LOVE WINE!!!! After I'm done breast feeding I can't wait until I can have a glass! YUMO!

Cork girl - I think we are all afraid of m/c until delivery. I know I am so terrified I hardly do anything strenuous (and you know that is is not going to be good for after the baby is here!).

Shelby-I hear you about the wine. Are you a nurse? I am a former labor and delivery nurse myself, and just wondered. Your numbers are awesome...way to go little embies. Did you have a 3 or 5 day transfer?
I think my doc only does two betas, so I may bug him to do a third since I luckily have great insurance and it would give me peace of mind. I am so excited for my second beta, I can't even sleep....It's 4:30 am
Well I can't wait for your ultrasound also. Tell the soccer team to take a time out so Mama can rest-HeHe

Hi,

I am due mid June 2010 after my first cycle of IVF. I am just over 5 weeks pregnant and really am petrified that it will go wrong. anybody else feel the same?

Thanks melanie, No this is my first time ever becoming pregnant. I had polycystic ovaries so had loads of follicles. About 30 on te right and 20 on the left. 10 eggs collected. 8 transferred to embryos bit only 1(my little fighter) made it to day 5

Melanie - Yes, I am a nurse. I have worked Cath Lab, Vascular lab, & ICU (on and off) for over 9 years. Now I work @ home with DH (who is also a nurse) doing what can most easily be described as chart audits. We scrutinize patient charts to make sure that the correct tests, procedures, and meds were given according to their diagnosis. So in otherwords, I 'don't know nothing about birthing no babies!' LOL. Your expertise will come in handy in this situation

Hey girls,
Had 2nd beta today and it was 530 (was 220 on Monday), so we are doing well. I told my Mom today about the good news and she started bawling. We have been off birth control for 4 years now and this is our third ivf, so she knows how much of a miracle this is. I know that nothings for sure yet, but I have a really good feeling about. I am having 3rd beta on Friday. Also talked doctor into doing an early u/s, so I go next Thurs. to see how many of our 2 blasts took, then a week after that to see heartbeat. Very exciting times.
Cork Girl- Stress can make you miscarry, so please relax about this. It was a miracle that your 1 embie got to day 5 and you got pregnant with it. That's really cool. Just enjoy things, there is nothing you can do but take care of yourself and follow md's directions. The world could end tomorrow too, but who wants to live their lives worrying every day about it. You have no previous history to indicate you would miscarry.
What were your beta numbers and on what days? If they are reassuring then your fine as wine...HeHe.
Shelby- I'll have to look forward to your u/s first, since mine won't be until next Thursday. Hang in there!

Hey Everyone! I hope to be officially joining this group soon! I had a FET on 10/09 and today 6dp5dt I POAS and got a BFP! I have been looking at the test randomly for hours in disbelief. Since my Dh and I have decided to not share news with anyone until after our first ultrasound I had to come on here and tell someone!!! First Beta is on Monday!
