Hey girls.

Katie and J& C~ Chin up girls. there is still time. I have said this over and over but my HPT was neg the morning of my beta with DS. I was shocked when my beta reveiled I was preggars. It aint over until the BETA talks!

Not a bunch of time for personals. But I wanted to thank you girls for saying I could hang around here. You have been such great support and are truly inspiring. I so want positive results for us all one day.

AFM, I spoke with my RE. He has made some changes to my cycle. First thing is that he is adding repronex to help with follicular development and maturation. Also he wants me to use Pregnyl versus ovidrel. He said it has higher levels of hcg. Also, they are doing a 38 hour harvest from time of trigger. He wants to give me a couple more hours to "ripen". Finally, he wants to place a stitch in my cervix at the time of harvest to help straighten my cervix to help ease transfer. My transfer was less than comfortable last time. They had a hard time finding my cervix and when they did, it was very curved so they had a super hard time with the cath. This should make it less traumatic. In addition to these changes, he wants to push my cycle a bit mroe to allow follies to get a bit bigger and my E2 to rise a little higher. I sure hope this new plan works....eeks....

miyaya- Wow, this new plan sounds very aggressive and I wish you all the best luck with it. It sounds like you RE really studied your last cycle and what may have gone wrong and is switching things up to eventually lead to a wonderful BFP this time!

katie99 and J&C- I'm so sorry about your horrible experiences with the nasty HTP's. I'm praying for your BBB's tomorrow. GL ladies.

karenthescorpio- Great news re: your new beautiful snowbabies! Lots of luck to you this time around! I wish to see a BFP for karenthescorpio in a few weeks!! Yay!

bei- I've read lots of stories on these boards of people that have tried numerous times and finally got their BFP so please don't give up. I know you must have gone through so much in these last three cycles, I can't even imagine. Remember...Where there is will, there is a way! PMA to you and lots of ((hugs)).

Kimjos2000 You may be my cycle buddy. I am doing ET on Saturday. Is your beta 10/30 or do you not know yet? I think you are the closest I have ever been to someone.

Miyaya It sounds like a good plan. The RE is really taking what he learned from the first attempt and fixing things.

Katie and J&C Stay away from those nasty tests!!!:twisted: You need the beta to really tell you what is going on. I had positive HPT's and ended up with a chemical anyway. So they are just bad all together. You will find out soon. Hang in there.

AFM...Had my message last night so now I am trying to remain relaxed. I am now worried my frostie won't thaw! I find out time for ET tomorrow and get knocked up on Saturday!!!

We are doing IVF, this is my first cycle/treatment of any sort. Never been pregnant. I had my follicle/egg retrieval today. Ohhh the cramps!!!!!They were able to retrieve 12 eggs, so I am hopeful. My DH has a good count with 0 issues. (his sibling has 12 kids ) I told the doc to send the leftover swimmers for reseach. LOL.

Miyaya your post was interesting to me, as I have had 2 surgeries in the past year to keep the fibroids under control. But I was told I have a cyst on my cervix and during my mock transfer there was difficulty inserting the catheter.

I wish I found this site months ago and Im sorry to crash in on this topic but I want to thank all for sharing and wish all of you the best.

lisa10 - Looks like you and I are running close again this cycle, but I had to do another fresh cycle I had my ER on Tuesday of this week, got 11 and all 11 fertilized. Going tomorrow (Friday) for ET (3 day) and 1st Beta is on 10/28. I sure am hoping we both get our BFP's and they stick this time! Good luck with everything! I will be thinking about you!

Hey Ladies,

It has been well over 2 weeks since my cycle was cancelled due to no HCG trigger shot, but I still follow you all everyday!! It is so great how supportive you all to each other and I love hearing all the updates and the wonderful BFP!! Just an update which will stump a lot of you...

If you recall I had 30 follies and when I did not have my HCG trigger shot, they had me stay on Lupron for 4 days and then I took Ganorex for 4 nights because my ovaries were literally the size of grapefruits!! They basically told me to wait for my AF and then call them to start a new cycle. This was 16 days ago and each day with no AF, the last couple of days my body was acting like I was going to ovulate (low Basil Body Temp, eggwhite cm, etc). I emailed my doctor yesterday and said "Is there any possibility that I never ovulated after my cancelled cycle"?? She wrote back that there was a possiblitiy and to come in today for b/w u/s.

This AM I saw that my lining was 6 mm (which is thick for me) and that my right ovary went down to normal and that I had one follicle 18 and a smaller one at 16 on my left ovary! the dr didn't know if this was leftover or if I grew a new one on my own!! They just called with my bloodwork and it looks as though I am ovulating on my own this month which is crazy since I never got my AF and I had sooo many follies from the stims?!?!? So the nurse called and said to BM every other day and I asked if they could schedule me for an IUI (figured it can't hurt to try and make this the best situation) and she is asking the dr and getting back to me...

have you ever heard of such a crazy situation????

Hi everyone.

I'm new here...well, kind of. I've read this message board for a while now, but I just joined today.

I'm going through my first round of IVF and am worried that it won't work. Any encouragement would be great!


History...Tried to conceive #1 on our own for a year; went to RE, put me on Clomid and tried for another 2 years naturally...had HSG...showed both tubes were open...decided to finally do IUI...2nd attempt produced my beautiful little boy...PERFECT!

Unfortunately, ttc for #2 hasn't been quite as easy. As of today, I've done 10 IUIs (we assumed it worked with our son, why would we do anything different, right?)...all BFN...????...my protocol was increased each time I did not conceive to the point I was on 200 mg Clomid + 10 days of Repronex...high progesterone counts (130+), so I know I ovulated...still, all BFN...had another HSG which showed a blocked tube...laparoscopy in April 09....what a shock...NO blockage after all and no endo. FINALLY, we are trying IVF (I'm afraid I'm losing too many eggs with the IUI method at this point, but I'm not getting pregnant)...SOOOO...here I sit in the dreaded 2ww. I'm very gassy (sorry, tmi) and I feel "dull" pain in my lower abdomen...could this be prego signs??? I had NO symptoms with my first...I was SHOCKED...when I saw the +++. Going for bloodwork on Tuesday, trying to test myself to see how long I can possibly wait to POAS. Oh, btw...ER Oct 1 produced 16 eggs...14 were mature. 8 embies made it to day 5, so Oct 6 we transferred two and froze the remaining 6.

Does anyone know with the above information the soonest I could test to get a +++HPT?

one thing I've noticed at my docs is that you can really get lost in the cracks with all the "coordinators". my doc is great and once you get to the specific RN its all good but I have definitely been the squeaky wheel at times. My entire cycle got set back 2 months because the IVF coordinator realized my Rubella titer was not up to date after labs were drawn almost a year earlier, which meant I had to start over with the 3 day labs, etc. It is impossible bot to get crazy consumed. Good luck ladies with your situations.

Mharrell- Welcome! congrats on your 1st little one!! You have come to the right place for PMA. These girls are the best! As for POASing... I think by my calculations you are 9dpt right? Of course evryone is different but I poased at 7 days past transfer and got a + right away! Others have POASed at 8dpt and got +. According to the chart, you should have enough HCG in you to get a +. on the otherhand, others on this post POASed up to the morning of beta and got neg, then got a BFP at Beta so don't give up hope if you POAS and get neg. GL !!! When is your beta? I'm sending lots of sticky embie dust to you for a BFP very soon!

Hello everyone, i went to the RE on Wed, i got a positive beta. However the number was extremely low. Too low that its painful. My + beta number was a "9" . A 9 - thats just too low. Its hard to feel hopeful. Is this what everyone calls a chemical pregnancy? Please advice.

my second beta is friday (tomorrow). has anybody herd of beta this low and yet had a sucessful pregnancy. Is there still hope.

this is my second cycle and im just very disappointed.\

mili- It really doesn't matter how low it is, anything over 5 is pregnant. A chemical pregnancy is when the pregnancy is lost before you see a hb. How many days past your transfer were you with a 9? My beta this past time was only a 5, but the only reason my outlook was not good was because I was a lot of days past by that point and it should have been way higher by then. I have seen lots of stories on these boards with first betas around a 10 that have been successful. We will be hoping for an increase for you, what did RE say?

MICHELE - When RE called she was very short and too the point. She said my number was nine. She said it was a pregnancy but could not say how good of a pregnancy it was. I did a 5 day embryo transfer. I had bloodwork 9 days after transfer. I dont know how to write that in smaller terms.....i think its 9dp5dt. I go in again for blood work on friday at 8:00am. As im typing this its actually 12:11am central time.

cant sleep.... i'm sad because same thing happened on my first cycle...my number was only 7 then two days later it went up to 8.
