Welcome Ray,

I've done both donor in-house and gone through the agency. It is more costly going through an agency, but my in-house donor turned out to have eggs that weren't any better than mine ... complete waste of money. I left that clinic and went to another one, with a very picky doctor ... he turned down our first choice for a donor. I'm glad, I'm currently pregnant with twins.

Depending on where you are some of us may be able to give you clinics to try??? It is expensive and insurance does not seem to cover it at all. Good luck!

Poohgirl, how's the rash ... hopefully gone! Did you ever have that happen before?

Stef, congrats on hitting the 12 week mark, it is such a big relief.

Carolyn, good to hear from you, 20 weeks already?! Sounds like you are doing well, good for you.

Pauline, glad you are feeling better. Sorry I can't help you with the days of the cycle, I honestly don't remember.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

AFM, I'm definitely showing now. I told one classes of my students last Friday. I had them last year and again this year, so I felt like I should tell them first and I let them spread the word. I've been feeling pretty good but today I got my first bout of indigestion. I wasn't sure if that's what it was so I googled it  My husband emailed from work saying he thinks he's getting sick ... hmmm, sorry but sounds like he'll be on the couch tonight :?

Hi ladies-

Thank you for all the helpful information. It just helps to know that there are wonderful ladies out there that have gone through this and can help me along the way. I'm in Kansas so I don't know that I'm close to any of you for clinic suggestions.

I am sending best wishes and prayers to all of you!

hi ray

Welcome to the thread

I went to the same clinic as Stef in Prague and am currently nearly 21 weeks pregnant with twins

I did not have any issues getting tests done in Uk prior to trip there - I suppose though UK is much closer than for you !

Good luck in your decisions and you know where we are to pick our brains !!

Hi everyone

We are in Prague!! My scan on Monday was good, my lining measured 8.3mm triple line. Had email early Monday to say be in Prague for this morning. We flew out yesterday evening and went to the clinic this morning for DH to do his bit. Donor ER was today.

Am now waiting for clinic to let us know outcome. ET will either be Saturday or Monday and we fly home on Wednesday morning.

Carolyn, hope you are feeling better. My sister had low bp with her last pregnancy and just felt dizzy most of the time.

Pooh, good luck for Monday.

Sorry not much time for more personals. Will be better when I get back home.

Hope everyone else doing ok.

Yippee Poohgirl - I am so excited for you!!! Can't wait to hear what your beta is but since you already have a positive HPT then it must be a high beta - could we have another multiples mom??? How many did you transfer?

Pauline - what is the big fert report! Can't wait to hear back from you! Have a great time in Prague. We have fantastic memories of our time touring around while we waited for the transfer. It makes for a very special trip when you finally get your bfp!

Carolyn - low bp is much better than high. I had quite low bp for most of my pregnancy but then once I delivered it went through the roof! Strange what your body can do. Can't believe you are over half way through!

stef - a great milestone to have reached. The second trimester is the best - you feel great, aren't uncomfortable and the exhaustion eases off. Enjoy this time!!

Ray - welcome to the thread. I also did my cycle in Czech (but not Prague). We had a great experience there - the cycle was so much easier than regular IVF and we got a wonderful holiday as well. Feel free to ask any questions - there are lots of women who've had fantastic outcomes. My cycle (which was almost 2 years ago) ended up costing me $10,000 which included the treatment, drugs and travel. I couldn't get over the price and how inexpensive it was!

Summer - thinking of you sweetie as today is your due date (mine was this day last year)! Can't wait to hear about your big news!

AFM - not much new going on. The kiddies are more and more fun every day. We are busy with our activities and learning to point at new words and things.

Thinking of everyone!

Hi

Carolyn, hope you are feeling better.

Summer, can't wait to hear your news

Poohgirl, congrats on your BFP

Kelly, hi, hope all is well with you and the twins.

AFM, :( I am now disappointed with the clinic, I had to chase them up for how many eggs the donor gave us (12 but 10 were good - I'm sad as I was expecting more) and if they fertilised etc on Wednesday. They didn't phone me all day yesterday so I was making myself sick with worry and nerves and I had to chase the clinic up again today to get the news about how they were progressing - 3 are excellent with the rest being slow. It also looks like we will be having transfer tomorrow and not blastocyst transfer. I'm so worried and disappointed, thinking what if it doesn't work. I know it only takes 1, but it is easier saying that to someone else than listen to it myself. I'm trying to say positive but finding it hard. I pray that I can continue the trend of BFP's.

Pauline I am sending you some hugs!!! 3 day transfer isn't bad, and it is amazing sometimes how quickly the rest of those little ones can catch up. But that you have some excellent ones is a good thing. I know it is so hard to stay positive during this, but do your best. Relaxthe best you can cause you are going to be PUPO really soon!!

Pauline, do not worry honey. It is hard to say that some are slow so early on, plus you do have 3 excellent ones already. I had 12 eggs retrieved as well and by the end of it, we transferred 3 and had none to freeze... I was disappointed as well but in the end I didn't need any to freeze!!! And you won't either.

It sounds like those 3 are doing really well and really, 3dt versus 5dt isn't a huge deal. The good ones at 3 days are probably going to be the same good ones at 5 days. If you had 10 that all looked really good at day 3 then going an extra 2 days to determine which of the 10 you would transfer would be important. But transferring at 3 days doesn't make the embryos less viable so you don't worry yourself over that.

I do know that providing advice and support is much easier when you are on the giving end and not the receiving, but know that we are rooting for you!!!

Pauline where is that pma????
10 eggs fertilised is great -we had 12 retrieved too but only 7fertilised and that was with icsi - you only need one and it's early days we were told none would make it to freeze but hey my bfp was from two snow babies of inferior quality to two that did not give me bfp from fresh.

Keep up that pma And sending you and dh lots of hugs((()))
