Hi everyone!
Our little Anna was born on October 7th! She chose her own birthday after all!
I was at my routine exam on Monday the 5th and my BP was suddenly measuring very high and I had gained like 4 kilos in 3 days -- so, was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and was sent directly to the hospital for monitoring, where my BP sunk...then on Tuesday night it was very high again and they decided not to wait any longer and on Wednesday morning scheduled my c-section for that day. Had to call DH and tell him to come to the hospital w/in 2 hours because we were about to become parents...
C-section went very well and Anna arrived at 1:24. We all are doing very well and have been home for almost a week.
It was probably the most emotionally filled day of my life. Such overwhelming joy and happiness. We are truly blessed with a miracle after a long journey.

Wishing everyone here all the best on your journey! We all deserve to make our dreams come true.

Will get caught up on everything that is going on here in the coming days and send personals very soon. Thinking of all of you!

xx summer

Summer, my warmest congratulations to you, DH and Anna! What a lucky mommy you are! I am glad to hear that all went well with the c-section and that Anna arrived safely! She has a beautiful name! Isn't it amazing how instantly you love that little bundle? They are such miracles. It makes all the struggles in our journeys worth it.
What did she weigh?

Take care and give Anna a hug from all of us here!

Hi everyone!

I was hoping I could join your thread! I am getting ready to start my first ED cycle. I am currently on Lupron and poss ER for my donor will be Nov 3-4 with a 5 day transfer for me around the 8th or 9th. I am very excited to start this. I have a son from my 3rd IVF attempt with my eggs. After 6 attempts and only one baby, we decided to try with DE and see what happens. We have insurance coverage for donor cycles....thanks to the great state of NJ and so we figured we should give it a try. We did not have insurance coverage when I did my cycles with my son so our savings is wiped out so we are thrilled that we have coverage right now to do a donor cycle. I listed our issues in my signature. I was hoping to get some insight from you ladies here about donor cycles. I have so many things going through my mind right now. Is it weird to know that the baby inside you is not biologically yours? Does anyone out there have a biological child and one form a donor? I don't have any doubt that I will love my future children even if they are not my blood, but I think my situation is different than most already having a son. Are most of you telling family and friends that you are using or have used a donor? Our clinic had us meet with a psychologist to discuss all this stuff. It help somewhat, but I'd rather hear from people that have gone through it. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know all of you! Oh and how many of you actually got your BFP the 1st try? It seems like our chances are definitely going to increase now that we are using a donor. We are also going to fertilize some of the eggs with donor sperm just in case we have a problem with DHs swimmers! I go in for a baseline u/s and bw this friday.

Welcome Miracle! I don't have any other children but I don't think of it as weird to be carry "someone" elses baby--because I truly think of it as mine :D Of course I just test positive so who knows. Go back and read the first few pages of this thread, it talked alot about genetics and how the baby can take on some of the mothers DNA it really helped me a lot. We also used donor sperm as well. Good luck with our upcoming cycle!!!!

Hi

Pooh, Carolyn and Kelly - thanks so much for your words of encouragement, they really helped.

Pooh, how was your beta?

Summer, congratulations on the birth of your baby daughter, and I also love the name Anna. Hope you are enjoying every minute with her and that you are recovering well from your c-section.

Miracle and Ray, welcome to the board, you will find all the ladies on here encouraging and positive and a great support.

AFM, I am PUPO :D We transferred 2 8cg1/8cg2 embryos. The 3rd one was fragmenting and the doc said with my lining looking so good just transfer 2. I automatically think of them as mine and not the donor's. I'm now trying to stay calm and relaxed. POAS day is 30/10 and of course (as you can imagine) I'm wishing my life away until then. I should find out today if any of the remaining embryos are suitable for freezing - I hope they are but also hoping against hope that I don't need to use them.

Pooh,
It's twins!!!! Mine was 1901- you're close! WOW!! That's really great news!
How are you feeling? By four weeks I was sick 24/7. I'm so happy for you & the dh. Finally, huh? I'm home off of school hoping to get the H1N1 vaccine today. Nobody has it here. What a terrible scare. Lots of kids out Thurs, Fri & today. So nervous on what to do. Anyone else concerned w/catching the virus? Can't loose these babies. I would lose my mind.
Enjoy being on cloud nine my dear!!!

Thinking of you all,
Sabixxoo

Sabi--I love you right now   I was freaking out that the number was way too high! So you totally talked me off the edge :D I have been feeling tired and a little queasy more in the afternoon than morning but it has been getting worse. I have to go get a bella band or something today since I am having troubles buttoning my pants (I think that is more hormones than anything) I guess I am a little moody, I did threated to kill my DH with the pasta he wanted me to eat the other day--not want my poor tummy wanted  My RE thinks it twins too, Sabi how far from the transfer was your first beta. I am 11 days past a 5 day transfer, I should have had the Beta on Sat. but they don't run them over the weekend which she says accounts for the very high number a little bit. They won't rerun it because she says they are obviously doubling just fine  My Progesterone came back low at like 7 so they are debating what they are going to do, I think even though I broke out with the PIO they are going to want me to go back to them for at least part of the time. I'll do whatever at this point. Just one more thing to worry about I suppose

Pauline---I am so excited for you, you are so next with the BFP!!! I have my fingers and toes crossed for you. Relax and enjoy being PUPO, the 30th isn't that far away, it's like next friday!!!!

Hello to the rest of everyone!!!

Pooh,
1st beta - 5 day transfer took blood test on day 12 or 13- came up 1,901.
14 days later 17,000. I know they say high beta does not always mean multiples - & even low betas - multiples but my sis-in-law is in the medical field & did a lot research to find out that betas over 1,000 are more than likely multiples. Just be prepared for two little beans. How exciting. You won't know for sure till the ultrasound. Take care of yourself- don't lift anything heavy, limit your stress, get plenty of rest & watch the caffeine.
I'm totally thrilled for you!
