dys24 - Oh I think a photobucket or something would be great! I love the idea...I haven't had my showers yet, I was supposed to have one today acutally but had to cancel it b/c of bedrest and I was supposed to help my mom (who is disabled) throw it. So it's post-poned until after the baby is born and it'll be a "welcome home" baby shower LOL
I have another one next weekend that my mom in law is giving me, and it's still on b/c she's doing everything and I'm just going to go eat and sit on my butt. It should make for some great pictures though, it's going to be Halloween themed (not my idea by the way) and everyone is coming dressed up.
So I'm sure everyone will want to see the pics from that! LOL
I've got a some ultrasound pics and belly pics on Facebook already, if anyone wants to add me that's fine.

Kellie the Halloween theme is a cool idea! I was too afraid I wouldn't make it that far, lol! Oh, and I just haven't put up any updated pics of me lately on FB. I definitely look like I should be delivering any minute now! It's like once I hit 30 wks my stomach just went crazy! I've gained about 32 lbs total :?

dys24, I had my shower 3 weeks ago. It was coed and we had a ball! We got a ton of great stuff that I'm still going through. My mother is planning me a welcome home baby shower back home so I don't know when that one will be yet.

aims, they just checked the flow of the cord the other day since it was just a clinical study and not a regular appt for me. They sent the report to my doc and I have another ultrasound on Tues. So maybe I'll get more details. That's funny you should say that. I think my girl is burning too many calories with all her kicking too, LOL! Trying to watch her figure all ready :P. How are you feeling these days? I think we're going to go ahead and start sleeping on the couch. I've been having to move to the chase in the middle of the night and sleep sitting up. My hips are hurting too bad to sleep on my side :( . I don't see how I'm going to make it to 38 wks or whatever it is they are trying to get me to. I'm already carrying 7 lbs of baby! I don't want to leave them in NICU though so I'll just suck it up!

Hmmm, I was just looking at my ticker. I'm finally getting close to that bird's nest!!!

Kutekellie - That was quite a scare about your pre-term labor, but I am glad you and your baby are doing good. Enjoy your bed rest and take care.

As Cynthia said, we are all in above 30 weeks are pretty much in the safe zone now!! We need to congratulate ourselves for making it this far! What a journey..

Take care everybody.

Tara.

I'm so glad everyone is dodging these bullets!! Keep healthy girls and babies!!

I finally decided to get the H1N1, so now I have to wait for the single dose shots since they don't have any kind of mercury in them- just a personal choice there. Our son will be psyched that he can get the nasal spray kind :)

My next appt is Thursday- just a routine measure and weigh. I'm 168 :( I hate numbers. I'll probably top out at 175!

Nicole, at least you'll top out there! I started around 139 and I was 172 last week! Last few weeks I've been putting on about 2 lbs a week. I have no clue where I'm going to top out!! :?

cymplicity27 - 32 pounds so far? That's good for twins!! I've gained 28 with one!! I did actually lose a pound today at my appointment, but I figured it was from eating soup in the hospital for 4 days.

I don't know about you all, but I gained weight before even getting pregnant from the IVF drugs,(I think about 12 pounds) so not only do I have baby weight to lose but also IVF drugs weight...it's going to be a long, hard battle I guess. But, all worth it!

I had a doctor appointment today...it didn't go the way I wanted it to. I still have protein in my urine and my blood pressure was 145/92...which is very high for me...my normal was 115/80 or so. They drew some blood to check and told me to stay on bed rest and come back in two days.
I didn't think to ask..but I really don't know what this means for me and my baby. I know it's not good, but how high does my pressure have to get before I should get worried? Does anyone know anything about preeclampsia? I read a little on the internet, but still doesn't really tell me what it means in terms of if I'll have to deliver early or whatever. :(

KuteKellie -

I've been waiting to hear how your appointment went.

Here is a good reference from the Mayo clinic on pre-eclampsia.
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/preecl ... N=symptoms
You can keep tabbing through to find out a lot of information, like questions to ask your doctor:
Is my condition mild or severe?
Is it safe to continue the pregnancy?
What will be the deciding factor for early delivery?
What is the best course of action?
What kinds of tests do I need?
How often will I have appointments now?
What are the alternatives to the primary approach that you're suggesting?
What restrictions do I need to follow?
Will it be necessary to induce early labor?

As I'm sure you know, pre-eclampsia is pretty serious. Your doctors need to be keeping a VERY CLOSE watch on you AND your baby (like a NST for the baby). Most doctors try to manage it with bedrest either at home or in the hospital. Once you are further along, most doctors will just induce you right away.

As for me... I was "borderline" at 37 weeks and full blown at 38 weeks. At my 38 week check-up she immediately sent me to the hospital for induction. It did not go well. My placenta tore and they had to do an emergency c-section. The baby was fine. I was in ICU for several days with kidney failure. What they didn't know at the time was that I had one of the underlying conditions of HELLP syndrome. So, I basically bled out during the c-section and it progressed to full blown eclampsia (seizures, but thankfully I did not go into a coma). It took months to recover from it.

I am not trying to scare you or freak you out but just want you to have a grip for how serious it can be. Mine was a pretty rare occurence of how severe it was. PLEASE follow your doctors instructions closely and ask LOTS of questions.

I'll be praying for a safe journey for you and your baby.

EYCI - Thanks for the link, that was the most helpful site I've read yet.

I go to the doctor tomorrow at 4:15...I'll let everyone know how it goes. Probably more bed rest, or for me, it's just slowing down (I'm not a very good patient, I find it hard to follow orders!) I'm hoping to keep my pressure down so I can keep this baby in for as long as possible.
Hope everyone is doing great!!

Hey Everyone!
Went in today for my follow up. My BP was 142/96 and I still had protein in my urine, so they sent me to the hospital to do a stress test on the baby and watch my BP for a while. They also did some blood work. Everything looked fine from the hospital so I got to come home. I have to do another 24 hour urine test, starting Sunday morning. So, everything is ok as of now...woohoo!
Hope all of you are still doing good!!

Kelly -

Did your doctor say how high he/she would let your bp get before putting you in the hospital or delivering the baby? Did they do any blood work to test for HELLP syndrome?

Please please please keep resting and keeping a close watch on yourself. Things can turn very quickly and get serious very quickly. Please don't hesitate to call or go to your doctor immediately if things don't seem right.

Can you tell I am very worried about you?

Cymplicity - Did you ever get the report on the cord flow? I've been feeling really sore. I'm still sleeping in bed but not sure how much longer. When I first lay down, it feels like my back is having spasms. Then as long as I stay asleep, I'm fine. But if I wake up, I feel the hip pain. I too have about 7lbs of baby in me. The boy finally got over 3lbs today and the girl is over 4lbs. I've reached my doctor's 1st goal to get me to 34 weeks, so he is hoping for 36 weeks. He thinks right now I will have them between Nov. 9-12. My personal goal was to get to 37 weeks, so I'll see. The doctor just wants to keep them in as long as possible to try to keep them out of NICU. He thinks they will be 4 1/2lbs and 6 lbs when born. He said I would only deliver early if I go to my appointment with a gun saying get them out or he doesn't like the blood flow on the boy who has the 2 vessel cord.

Ian - Did you get your H1N1 vaccine today at Women's Health Advantage? I went this morning and got mine. The shot stung the whole time they were giving it to me. I haven't really felt too many side effects from it yet except for a sore arm.

Kelly - I'm glad everything looked fine at the hospital, but please take EYCI's advice and keep resting. Pre-eclampsia can be really serious.

Hello lovely pregnant ladies :)

Julie- I think it is so sweet how worried you are about Kelly, that kind of sensitivity is very kind. And Kelly, she is right- I'm sure though, that you're taking very good care of the "goods" you are carrying.

Amy- I didn't get them emailed in time. They left the voice mail message at home, so I couldn't respond until the next day. Until I get it, I just keep praying and trusting I'll get good care IF I get a bad case of it! I was prescribed a Z-PAK from my doc to take care of a pesky/awful sore throat last week, so I'm happy to be rid of that!

And I posted a new thread about hearing a clicking noise in-utero.......... it is totally bizarre, but aparently I'm not the only one to have heard it!!!
So if any of you have had the same thing, let me know. I feel like I'm losing my mind. Yesterday, I had to "doctor" my 'roids :( I just wanted to throw up and cry.

Next week I'll start seeing the doc once a week- I'll actually feel like this is gonna happen!!

XOXO!

Nicole - I had my appointment to get the shot at 10:45am last Friday and they were just finishing up the appointment times. Then they were starting on walk-ins. They only had 20 shots left at 11am. The weekly appointments does make it seem more real.

AFM - Not much to report. I had my weekly appointment on wednesday so I'll let all of you know if something new happens.

aims: that really honks me off! I didn't know they were still taking walk ins?!?!?! When I saw Rumsey on Thursday he said they had nothing left beyond what they had for the appointments :( grrrr!!!!

Oh well, I'm getting one tomorrow even though it has the preservative stuff in it. At this point, it seems the risk of getting sick seems scarier to me.
