Today is 5dp5dt and I got a faint line. I'm going crazy around my house because I order a huge lot of hpt on line and can't find them.

jaydentd- Yay now I'm going crazy with you!!!! So glad to hear you saw a faint line....line darkening dust being sent your way now!!!!

My u/s is a week from tomorrow. I had my 3rd beta today so just waiting on the results now...I will certainly let everyone know what it is as soon as I get it!!!

Sancap - It's amazing to me how different the beta testing times and u/s waiting seems to be from clinic to clinic. You get your 3rd beta today and then only have to wait a week??!! Not fair!!! They do three betas here and then TWO MORE WEEKS until u/s! (I admit, the wait would not have been so bad except my beta numbers were high and the possibility of multiples is driving us crazy!!!)

Karling - I do think it could be twins. Eeek. The end of October may bring a multiples explosion!!

Bei I did 7 IUI's, each differently. I did 3 natural. 3 with clomid and 1 with clomid and Follstim pen. I got 7 follies with that one and we had to cancel to avoid mass multiplules. With the clomid I got about 3 follies. They said IUI rates in my age group and status would be a 25% chance of pregnancy with each try. I did HCG injections with the stimulated cycles, not natural. Natural were a b**ch! You have to do ovulation predictors and come in the day you ovulate. I was like, drop everything and run. And with DH having to go that morning for his part, he had to leave for the office before I could even make the appointment. After 7 IUI's they gave up and said IVF or quit. We waited and saved and are now doing a FET after a chemical with our 1st fresh cycle if IVF. My odds of IVF are 60-70%. So IVF seems more effective, but that was me. If IUI's didn't work they wouldn't do them and they wouldn't have done 7 on me trying.

AFM...DH went back to work yesturday for the first day since ET on Sat. He had to take off work Sat to go with me. He requested off saying his wife had an appointment. WE got the doctor's note he needed and he turned it in Mon. Apparently the DR said DH was seen in office not me. So bossman says the stories don't match. Because no one excpet us know we are doing IVF, we had the note written on plain paper, not office letterhead. Bossman didn't like that either and said DH would need to get a note on office letterhead. DH refused and said call them if you don't believe me. Which bossman did. Except then he knows exaclty where I was by name of the clinic. DH told him if any word of this gets around to a single person, he will be suing for invasion of privacy. His office has big mouths and things spread like widefire there and it would get back to my family too. We'll see how that one plays out.
Speaking of family, my DH has some major issues going on in his family right now. So crazy, you woundn't believe them if I told you. He came to bed late last night after a long, stressful phone call with a family member. I told him, don't even tell me. Me and the baby are taking a stress free outlook on things. It's not my problem and I am not going to let it worry me since it doesn't affect me. He was totally undertanding of that. I knew I would never get back to sleep if I knew what was going on.

Hey Ladies! This is quick cuz Im back at work today...which is sooo nice. I took one of those tests that read "pregnant" or "not pregnant" today..... and it said PREGNANT!!! OMG! I am freaking out! I showed it to dh and he said "honey, your pregnant!". I never in my wildest dreams ever thought i would here him say that. Im still waiting for the offical word on Thursday.
Oh, one more thing. You know how i told everyone at my work that im doing IVF...you would not believe how many people asked me today if I was pregnant. I told them all they have to wait til thursday like me. I just hope it is good news.

Jayden- my cycle buddy Yay on the faint line...that is where it all starts! Please find those HPT's, I want to hear about that line getting darker. Darkening dust to you!!!

Lisa - OMG. I'm keeping IVF from work and family as well. I'm saying a prayer for your embies, your sanity, and your privacy. I can just imagine the stress of all that. Just thinking about that makes my stomach churn. Hang in there. (P.S. Your DH sounds very understanding. yay.)

Statsgoddess - I'm willing to bet money it's multiples. Any takers?

AFM - I have been looking into immuno testing. Have any of you heard of this or had it done? I guess it's something they don't do until you've failed a few cycles. I just don't want to find out 3 cycles from now that I had a treatable immuno disorder and flushed a ton of money that I don't have to waste down the drain for no reason at all. It boggles my mind that this isn't standard testing prior to starting IVF.

After getting my BFN, I was thinking it would really hurt seeing folks in this group getting +++. But it's quite the opposite. It makes me hopeful. Keep the good news coming.

Sangria- Glad to hear the good news lifts you up. It can and will happen for you too. I felt the same way about the immune thing but my RE does not test for it until after 3- also. He said I didn't need it and I trusted him but I totally understand how you feel. I wish they would test for it automatically like the other diseases.

statsgoddess- I know the differences b/t clinics is very funny...wonder why they torture us like that! I agree I think the wait is worse when there is a poss of twins...eeeek. I'll be 6wks1day at my 1st u/s...how about you?

Sancap - I think it's 6wks 4 days at ultrasound for me, if I calculated right. It's either 4 or 5 days, anyway. We don't just have a possibility of twins...we put three back and it could be twins, or it could even be triplets. If the beta numbers are any indication, we don't see how it could be only one, but we know things could have happened between the last beta and Friday, so we are trying not to think about it and are just hoping for a healthy bean (or beans) Friday. LOL, but it is REALLY hard not to think about it!

Sangria - I'm glad you are sticking around and are thinking positive. It's an odds game and most people have to play it a few times, as hard as it is. We were much less emotionally invested in it the second time, which made it a lot easier.

Kala and Jaydentd - Congrats on the initial results and let's see those nice betas to follow!

stats- was your beta #3 only a few days after #2?? Mine was 6 days past #2 so that actually makes sense that you had to wait 2 weeks after beta for u/s. I can't wait to see if you are having 2 or 3!! I think I could deal with 2 but 3...now that's a handful! GL!

Sangria - I had the immuno testing, I think, as part of the miscarriage panel that I had after my chemical last cycle. They wait to it because it's an expensive test (but luckily, my insurance, which covers NOTHING else, covered this), and I think these problems are pretty rare.

Kala - I am so excited for you... I had been reading along and hoping that after all the travel, you would get your BFP this time, and it looks like that's happening!

Lisa - That is incredible that they are making your DH jump through such hoops. And I hope his family situation calms down!

Bei - I think the success of IUI depends on what the problem is. We did 3 IUIs on a natural cycle, since I seem to ovulate normally. Then we found out our problem is DH's morphology (0% normal), we could have done a million IUIs and never had a success. Overall, IVF is more successful, and of course, much more expensive. I think your doctor would be able to give you decent advice about if it was worth it to try IUI.

Karling - I thought your beta was for a 14dpo (9dp5dt), in which case it seemed REALLY high. For 17 dpo, maybe not so drastic, but it still seems high to me!

All you POASers are making me want to take a HPT and I haven't even had my tranfer yet!

For those who have done FETs, any problems with the estrogen? For the first few days, I felt really great, and now I'm getting super cranky. Lucky for DH, he's gone this week and missing out on my emotional roller coaster. I have bw/us on Friday and then we'll be all set to go next Friday! I keep telling myself that a month from now, I'll know how it all turned out, but I'm just so anxious.

Beth Yes, I am cranky!! I don't know what caused it really because I was also short tempered w/ Lupron. But I stopped that and am still angry. I guess it's the meds or maybe just the stress of all of this. Dh said last night he really didn't anticapate me having to go through so much for this. He thought it was just like take out thr follies, fertilize, put back. Not so much meds! I also am getting very bloated from the estrogen. My watch and ring are tight and tummy is bigger too. People have told me I look different but they can't figure out how. Looking at myslef in pictures, I can tell my face is fuller also. I have heard that once you stop the estorgen it all goes back to normal.

Also yeah for the + HPT's to those who were POASing. I disagree with those evil things, but good for you anyway.

Ladies, tell me 7dp3dt is too early to test. Cuz I swear I'm bout to buy a whole bunch and pee on it everyday till beta. Can't take this, I'm excited from all the good news I'm reading but so nervous from the bad news. I might go crazy and start see imaginary lines when it's actually negative. Somebody slap me!!!

Syanna - Some (not all) people can see a line (how ever faint it may be) 10 days after ER, but you have to keep this in mind. DO NOT get discouraged if it is negative! Just keep your PMA and if you 'have' to, poas the next day. I don't want anyone to think I am encouraging anyone to poas even though I did it. It is a very personal decision and you have to be mentally prepared for the results either way. I told myself before I ever took the first one that it was going to be negative and it was too early. I didn't want to get my hopes up just to have them shot right back down. That's why you have either soul search or (if it's going to be a joint endeavor) discuss it with DH. Whichever route you take, please know that we will be here for you no matter what . Good luck!
