Nikola's update folks

Post by Tracey S »

WEll it has been an up and down week and I would have posted before but would not have managed to keep up the typing as things change every 5 mins with my mate Nikola!
Tuesday she was rushed in to the labour suite as bleeding quite heavily again - not as bad as before - were just about to whip them out when the bleeding stopped so they didn't but I kept getting messages from her dh to say here they come............... no they don't - all in the middle of my Chelsea game - god thought mine were coming after the game and her tiddling around!
They left her on the labour suite overnight and then no more bleeding. Yesterday she saw the consultant - she is back on her private wing! and he said that they are over 4lb each so fine and will C section her a week on Monday if they don;'t come before - told her to hang on as I am not back from hols until the sunday before.

She sends her love and is fine
Love

Hi There

I am now having a blue fit

What is going on????? I am still trying to calm down after reading Wibbs news and then read Nikola's news

I am so pleased that Nik's bleeding stopped and that her babies are hanging on in there for a bit longer. I suspect to have some Easter chocolate that Nikola will no doubt be indulging in!! Once they are born they will only get milk!

Nikola - You keep hanging on in there my friend. Cross those legs and clench. I am going on holiday on the 22nd for a week and I want to know asap when they come. I will ask Tracey to text me if they come while I am away. Can't wait to have you back home and on the site again, I am catching you up post wise. Well, about 200 to go but getting there.

Look after yourself and those lovely babies. There is too much drama going on at the moment, I need to go and lie down.

Loads of love and GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!! :D

Poor Nikola it must be frustrating not knowing what is going to happen one day from the next. She will be so glad when the babies do arrive safe and sound but hopefully not too soon.

Give her my love

hi tracey, send nicola my best wishes. jeezuus, she is certainly keeping us on the edge of our seats. the best news is that the babies are doing fine and her bleeding has stopped. poor dh though... he must be on tranquilisers by now.

hope your feeling better too. done some more spending on myself and sis.i.law sent me some new gear too (sweet). now i need to get down to some serious baby shopping... advise needed from you and nicola, where do you start?

Thanks Tracey for the update.

Blimey Nikola, you're certainly doing well on the old drama front. I hope that your two stay put until C-Day so that Tracey will be able to post your good news (are there contingency plans in place in case the babies arrive early?). Take care.

for Nikola from Val

I'm going through a similar rollercoaster. At my last scan, 29 weeks, the
Doc found a large black mass on my baby's abdomen. He seemed really
concerned but acted like he wasn't and said he "guessed" that it could be an
ovarian cyst and would either go away on it's own after birth or she would
need surgery to remove it. So, what do I do, get on the Net and find that
ovarian cysts in fetus' are very rare. I really think my doctor should have
sent me for a more detailed scan, but he didn't. I was supposed to have
another scan 2 weeks ago, but he decided against it, and now I don't have
one until the 16th, when I'm at 33 weeks. I am really worried that my
doctor doesn't plan to try to diagnose it before she is born. If it is
something like mylticycstic cysts, I would want to know ahead of time, like
you do, so that treatment can be started right away. I'm going to try to
erase my mind of what you mentioned about polycystic cysts. I am really
hoping that at my next scan, the "cyst", if that is what it is, has gone
away. The ones on her brain did, so I do have hope!

I'm still having no luck getting on the IVF site. Please send my love to
Nikola and let her know that I think of her often. I haven't e-mailed her
since I think I remember hearing that she will be in the hospital until she
gives birth to her precious babies. Let her know I can't wait to get back
in touch once she is home and a mommy (if she has time for me).

Lots of love to you and your baby boy! Enjoy your well deserved rest!

Val

Hi all

Nikola will be coming up 34 weeks then - if they come early then I will text DAgny and she can put it on the site as she goes when I get back I think - I not will text someone else and they can do it - don't worry! Anyway she is flaming well crossing her legs I hope.
Phil - shopping tips from me and Nik - mmmmmmmmm let me think - get off that backside, get out the credit card and spend spend spend. I have done loads now - ebay, kiddicare, mothercare and babies r us and any other shop you find, John Lewis is always a good bet - off you go and let us know.
I will cut and paste all this to Nikola
Love to all -see you when I get back
