I'm 14 weeks today and have been feeling slight fluttery movements below belly button. Especially when am lying or sitting still. Could this really be the baby? Seems very early..

I don't think it's too early. I felt the first fluttery movements at 14 weeks with my first. They didn't become regular until closer to 18 weeks though. With this pregnancy I felt the first movements at 11 weeks, but they became regular at 14 weeks. I've got twins this time though. Anyway, I wouldn't expect them to become regular for awhile yet
I am a first timer, too, and felt them at 11 weeks pregnant. Had I not heard from other mums with a number of kids that it is possible to feel them that early, I would have ignored the little flutters and internal touches. I know it is more usual to feel them earlier in 2nd and further pregnancies, but that is mainly due to the fact that mums know what to look for the second time around and recognize them earlier, I think. Anyway, if you are feeling them -enjoy!! I started feeling actual kicks and punches and head movements by 17 weeks, and had felt the somersaults by the end of the first trimester. Maybe you will too! I know everyone is different, though.
and i felt the first movements at about 13 weeks and i even had a person i know tell me that i was crazy and there was no way i could be feeling it. i think if you are in tune with your body, you know the difference in the feelings.
enjoy its the best!
im 24 weeks now and gettting kicked all the time! its the sweetest feeling.
