Extra acupunture????

Hi I'm due for ec on tues and I've been doing acupunture since dec on our last treatment in Jan I didnt have any extra acupunture infact I didnt have any til we tested I just took the chinese medicine we didnt get a + but we did get a bio-chemical pg so this time I wondered if I should have extra acupunture after et or if I have it too soon will it hurt my embryos? I usually go every sun so if et is on thurs should I go on the sun after I dont usually drive for a week after et but dh can drop me off,I dont mind paying for extra acupunture if it will get me pg I will do anything.
I was just wondering if anyone as had any extra sessions and that it worked.

I have been going every week for 3 months and she has advised me to go before and after et and continue to take the vitamins etc that she has given me , I have also heard that alot of cyclers do this too.

2 more sleeps!!!

Hi Gem
I would thoroughly recommend having it before e/c and after e/t - I did. This was my 3rd attempt and I have been doing acupuncture once a week for about 6 months, and it worked for me as I'm having one baby in October!

I've kept my weekly appointment to sunday which will be about 3 days after et dh is going to drive me there as I dont like to drive for a week after et,things we do eh......
We are still up as we dont do our late night injection til 12pm

Mind if I butt in with a question? I am due to start second cycle of IVF/ICSI in about 5 weeks, all being well. I have heard good things about IVF done in conjunction with TCM so on Saturday I went for the first time to see a TCM doctor, who has recommended a course of accupunture and powder/herbs stuff to be mixed in hot water.

So I started on this on Saturday - it tastes absolutely disgusting (like gritty soil!) but I will persevere! Just wanted to ask, did you have this stuff too, and if so did you carry on taking it while you were on stimms and through ec/et?

My Acupuncturist gave me mushroom tablets and some other kind instead of the tea cause she said it was fowl!!! and I know alot of you are on it and said the same so I guess Im lucky!!!

Yep, know what you mean about the foul herbal brew, I feel sick when I take it! I take herbal tea every morning and every night, plus about 48 of the little herbal pills a day as well, PLUS acupuncture once a week.

I am due to start my injecitons of Burserelin (down reg) on 3 May and although my Chinese Doc says it is fine to take the herbs with the injections, I read in a book (Marilyn Glenville) that you should stop taking them whilst injecting - aarrgh!!!

Anyone got any advice?

I am going to email Marilyn Glenville for more information.
