It gives me a lot of relief that I am not the only one with cramps. I still wish I had a scope with which I could peek inside my womb and just watch my little angel grow.....

You all have a great Halloween. All of you who are for US...keep us posted

I will be staying at home with family, which I think is special too.

I am getting my H1NI shot tomorrow (Sunday). The OB called her patients and said she'll offer it in the morning. I wasn't going to get it, but people at work are coming in with fevers, sicknesses, etc., so I might as well be safe rather than sorry!

Have you guys heard of Intelligender?
http://www.intelligender.com/

It's a urine test that you can take between 10-34 weeks pregnant and it claims with 80% accuracy it can predict the sex of your baby . . . sounds silly, I know . . . DH and I thought "What the heck" and plopped down 30 bucks for the fun of it . . . test came back as a boy for us . . . just something fun to do =)

deftones- I love that you took the gender test! I would totally do it too, but with twins, I think it would be a little hard to predict :-). I think I read somewhere that it measures the amount of testosterone (or some other hormone commonly found in males) in your urine and that's how you find out. It would be interesting to see if it was right? Are you excited for a boy?

cheryl, monkeys- I will get an H1N1 shot. I just got the info from my OB yesterday, so i'll be calling to set up an appointment soon. One of my coworkers has three kids who are all at home sick with the swine flu and she's been coming in to work everyday. I'll definitely be getting the shot now!

AFM- went to OB yesterday, she did an u/s and both babies are good. It was my first u/s outside of my RE's office. The technology wasn't as good, but I was excited that they were able to use the abdominal thingy this time. Anyway, still a teeny tiny bit of brown spotting, but I feel much better having seen the babies on the screen. Next appt. is with the maternal fetal specialist for the NT scan on the 9th. Can you guys believe it's already November? I love that the time seems to be going fast, the further along this pregnancy progresses, the better i'll feel.

Hi Everyone,

Is the US offering the special H1N1 vaccine without mercury for pregnant women?

I thought about getting the shot but in Germany it is one and the same for everyone. Hence, my OB has not even suggested it and reports do not recommend it for pregnant women. Apparently only our politicians are getting the vaccine without mercury.

I have had a cough that is now coming back for over 11 weeks now, actually for my entire pregnancy and am getting so tired of it. I already wince when someone sneezes on the public transport. In January, we are flying to visit our family in the US. I also wonder what to do about the beautiful airplane air as I always get sick flying. 1ß hours with the mouthguard thingies is probably ridiculous, as one would have to eat and drink anyway.

I guess I just have to get over my paranoia.

Lucky- I think it depends on the state, I know Illinois has a regulation about mercury free shots for pregnant women for the regular flu shot, so i'm assuming the same would be true for the H1N1 vaccine as well, but I will find out for sure. So far, I think i've only heard of two states that have this regulation.

How's everyone else doing? This board has been awfully quiet lately, are you all just tired? I'm starting to feel better for longer and longer periods throughout the day, so I can go a few hours before the nausea and exhaustion set in. I hope it gets better and better in the next couple of weeks or at least by November 14. I have a friend coming in from TX that week and staying with me, I have to present at a conference for 500 people that morning, then I go straight to a bridal shower and from there, straight to a bachelorette. I wish I could say no, but i'm the Maid of Honor, so my presence is a must! It should be fun though and like I said, hopefully I am feeling really good by then. If not then, I hope to be able to enjoy Thanksgiving as much as I'm used to :-)

Hi-
I got my H1N1 shot yesterday, and it did not have mercury. The only bad part was that my arm felt like it was made of lead!
I had my NT today. Everything looks good. The sonographer took an hour and fifteen minutes to look at everything. The baby didn't want to face the doctor so he could at the nasal formation.
Anyway, I hope you all are feeling well!!!

Aloha =)

Had my NT yesterday as well . . . everything looks good . . . baby was co-operating until I asked the doctor, "Do you think it's a boy or girl?" Then ther baby mooned me for the rest of the appointment . . . must take after his father . . . ha ha . . . I've allways felt that ther baby was a boy, but I guess we'll have to wait a few more weeks to find out for sure =)

Got the H1N1 today . . . mercury free . . . and I only had to wait an hour and a half! FOund a priority line and saved A LOT of time . . . :D

deftones- I love that your baby mooned you! So cute. It figures that it would cooperate the whole time until it came to that! I hope I don't have to stand in line that long for a shot, I had to make an appointment to get mine, so i'm assuming i'll be in and out of there, but who knows?

13 weeks today, 1 more week in the first trimester! I'm so excited! Anyway, I got in a little fight with my sisters, both of which have kids. They decided that for Christmas, we would forgo gifts for eachother and just buy the kids something. Well, I have no problem with that, but they didn't include the babies-to-be, so I got a little hurt and I said that it hurt my feelings, considering I don't have kids yet. My one sister said "it's not our fault you don't have kids". Who says that? It was probably the most hurtful and insensitive thing that she could have said to me since it's been such a long, hard struggle getting pregnant and she knows what we went through. I knew you guys would understand that. Sorry, I had to vent. Her words brought me to tears and i'm usually a very easygoing and understanding girl!

Hi all

Post by may2010 »

JG:- I can understand what you might have felt. I have had similar experience too. Just believe in yourself and the lord always blesses us in a special way. For people who get things easily, will never understand the pain and stress that we go through. You will always be a better person that the other....is my belief.

I had my NT done today. Things look fine, We will have to wait for the blood test results for another wk-10 days. But now I am getting more confidence in me that this is going to happen.

Actually today I had that feeling that "I am pregnant"

Fitz- Yes, I have spotting and it's been going on for over 2 weeks now. I've had a couple of u/s since and everything looks fine, but I swear, I want to cry every time it happens. It's so frustrating and scary and I can understand how you must have felt. Take it easy, take care of yourself and spoil yourself this weekend. Have DH bring you meals in bed :-)

cheryl- How have you been?

mjay- Where are you?
