Hey girls!
Went in today for a non-stress test on the baby...she's doing fine!! I have to go twice a week until her birth which is kind of a hassle, but at least I know she's doing good and nothing is wrong with her. I did another 24 hour urine test, turned it in this morning and should know the results tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully, it'll be good! I go again Thursday to see the doctor and do another non-stress test on the baby, I'll update everyone when I get home.
So is everyone getting excited now? I'm getting so excited...yet kind of scared at the same time. I guess I'm getting nervous about the birth....
Well, hope everyone is doing great!! Take care!!

I'm so uncomfortable. My hips did something crazy yesterday in bed and I don't feel the same since. I could just cry. I'm so grossed out by my hemmorroids I have to use gloves to put any kind of medication on them

ianmichael3 - I don't know what hemmorroid treatments you have tried, but when I had hemmorroids a couple years ago (I was taking a weight loss drug that really stopped me up and gave me hemmorroids) my mom looked it up in her home remedies book and it said to use extra virgin olive oil. Now, I know you are thinking this sounds nuts, but I swear to you, it works better than any over the counter medicine. I would just put some on a cotton ball and then dab it on. It worked excellent. Please try it before knocking it. Give it three or four days, you'll feel sooo much better.
I have been very lucky during this pregnancy, I haven't had any hemmorroids...
I hope this helps, let me know if it works for you.

Ian - I understand the hip pain. I feel like I can't move most of the time. My co-workers thinks it's funny I "waddle". lol Oh well. Sorry to hear about the hemmorroids. I wish I knew what worked for them, but I've never had them. I would definitely try what kellie used. Never know, it could work for you!

AFM - I had my appointment today. I'm 1cm dialated. I had contractions in the middle of the night. The doctor said I'm starting to have pre-term labor but is normal for where I'm at in the pregnancy with twins. At my appointment next week, it looks like I will be picking a date to have the twins sometime the week of 11/9. If everything looks good next week, I might be able to hold out until the week of 11/16. I just want to keep them in there as long as I can to avoid NICU. It's hard to believe that next week might be my last week at work for a couple months! It actually sounds nice though.

Have any of you thought about the vistor policy after you have the babies? My mom lives out of town, so I called the hospital I will be delivering at to check on the policy. I didn't want my mom driving 6 hours only to find out she can't see me or the babies. Anyway, because of the H1N1 stuff going around, I can only have 2 visitors at a time, and DH counts as one of them. If the babies are in NICU, I am limited to 8 vistors (has to be the same 8 all the time). Out of the 8 visitors, DH and I count as 2. I'm not sure if the visitor policy is the same everywhere but it's something to think about. I just hope I don't have to make a list of vistors for NICU. No matter what someone will be hurt they aren't on the list.

Kellie- I am ready to try ANYTHING. :) Thanks for the advice!

Aims~ I'm sure people will understand that you would have an excrutiatingly rough decision to make on what 6 people would "make" the list. I'm praying you don't have to worry about that. I'm bummed because our son was SO looking forward to coming to the hospital to see us. Rumsey (my OB) said it would probably be lifted by the time I deliver (5 more weeks).... time will tell with this nasty virus.

I got my H1N1 shot- so that's all I can do- now it's up to my DH to decide if he'll get one before the baby arrives.

Hey ladies! I'm not getting notifications that people are posting in my email...ugghh! I hate it when that happens :?

aims, they've checked the cord flow about 3 times since I last posted and they said things look fine. On Tuesday the doc said it was a little slower but still in the normal range. I'm up at 3 a.m. this morning so that tells you how my sleeping's going! My biggest issue is the braxton hicks contractions. The babies are so low now that when I contract, it gets painful near my cervix and always makes me feel like I have to pee! Which sucks because it hurts to roll out of bed (off the couch) with the big ol' tightened uterus. I can go a few hours on my left side without hip pain now but definitely not all night. I have my good nights but more so terrible nights! Then I just give up like this morning and settle with napping during the day. The twins get measured again next Tuesday and I'll get to see how much the girl has grown! I can't believe you could go as early as 11/9!!! I wish I could go around Thanksgiving. My family is going to a mountain cabin for Christmas and I'd love for them to be a month old so that I'd feel more comfortable taking them. We'll see!

Nicole, I'm getting the H1N1 vaccine next Wednesday. What's weird is that my health care center at work got it before my Ob got it! I called my Ob to make sure it was ok for me to get it at work and they said to get it as soon as I could!

Kellie
, I'm also being seen twice a week until the babies are born. Tuesdays and Fridays. I get a BPP (biophysical profile) on Tues and a stress test on Fridays. It's all for the little girl to monitor her growth and activity. So far she's been doing great! Although she would NOT behave for the stress test last week. She wouldn't keep still and kept kicking the little wands, lol. So we had to settle for another BPP.

I feel absolutely miserable! It hurts to do everything. Lately it's been this weird twinge in my upper inner thigh. Doc says it's a nerve that runs from your inner thigh to the top of the uterus and babies roll on it...feels more like they are grabbing and yanking the heck out of it!! It was happening like once a day. Now it's all the time when I move a certain way. Some days I feel so much pressure walking around the house that I think the babies are just going to slide out of me. I told DH on Monday that I wasn't going to last the week. Still hanging in there though. I just can't imagine it getting much worse than this

Ok, I'm done venting, lol!

Oh, Cynthia- I so feel your pain, although I'm pretty sure mine isn't quite as bad, but it is bad even with one. It hurts so bad to roll over in the night and to just get out of bed :( I could cry at how tired I am & I have to keep working until I go into labor. I'm a drug and alcohol case manager and sometimes have to do assessments on some rather 'stinky' people- one was so bad yesterday, I thought I was going to vomit! The DH and I argued over him focusing on building a shed, of all things, right now!

Pains

Post by Tara2009 »

Hi Ladies,

I can feel all your pain as well. I rarely sleep at night. Since I am sleeping on my sides, my hip and shoulders hurt so much and rolling over is so difficult with my big tummy. Also every 2 hours, I am getting up to go to the bathroom. Since I am not sleeping much at night, I feel so miserable at day time at work.

Apart from this, I feel pain in the pelvic area. Sometimes, I feel sudden pressure on my cervix and I feel like the baby is going to come out right away. My OB says all of this is common during the last weeks of pregnancy. So another 5 weeks of this!!!

My due date is still December 7. I hope I don't go past that date. I am so ready to start my maternity leave soon.

It is so amazing that we all started writing in this group when we got our BFPs, and now we are almost there to deliver the babies. You go ladies!!! Hang in there!!

Tara.

Cynthia - I definitely know how you feel right now. It hurts for me to do everything too. I mostly have tailbone pain and hip pain. It hurts to walk, sit, lay down, roll out of bed. Pretty much everything. I'm still working full time which is getting too hard. I'm probably going to cut my hours next week. If everything looks good next week, my doctor will let us pick a date the week of the 9th. I told DH not the 9th because I have a test scheduled at school and not the 13th because it's friday the 13th. lol I'm glad the cord flow was ok. My doctor checks the cord flow every appointment and it is fine, but he still sees the 2 vessels cord instead of 3. There's still about a pound difference between the babies.

Tara - I'm glad to hear you are doing well except for the hip pain and sleepless nights. I know what you mean about work. I have a hard time since I'm so sore, and I end up getting cranky. I'm sure my co-workers will be glad when I go on maternity leave.

Nicole - It's funny you mention stinky people. It's weird how smells are so much stronger during pregnancy. Coffee smell has been the worst for me at work. I told one of my co-workers this week it smelled like cat poop to me. lol

update

Post by Tara2009 »

Hi all Ladies,

I had my weekly u/s today and just wanted to update. Baby is weighing 6 pounds and 7 ounces. All other measurements looked good.

Is this weight normal at 35 weeks?

My pelvic pain is getting worse. I have to walk with much difficulty now. I can't wait to get off work. Just want to stay home and relax :-(

Tara.

Tara, I'm sorry it's so painful, mine is too- I have noticed though, if I eat a little more dairy, it isn't quite as bad- maybe it's the calcium? I'm going to ask if there's any kind of natural supplement that will help with the hip pain/ pelvic pain. I'm getting shooting/stabbing pains in my va-jay-jay UGH!!! Sorry if that's TMI, but I'm sure others are experiencing it too.

And from what I've read, that is a really good weight, right on target. :)

Nicole, I'm still getting that stabbing pain in my groin area plus the babies stretching and pressing their heads on my stitched cervix! It's funny how I've gone from being so exciting when they move to asking them repeatedly now to just go to sleep  . My waddle has gotten worse. I have to spread my legs really wide like a sumo wrestler to stand up. Then I walk really wide-legged until my pelvis isn't stiff anymore, the whole while the babies are just hanging out as low as they can get. I hate to sound selfish but it's good to hear that I'm not going through this alone :D .

God bless you ladies who are still working. I don't see how you do it, especially you Amy!! I feel like I'm going to die just from going to an hour long ob appt! Then I come back and immediately crash on the couch for hours.

I had an appt today and my baby boy is measuring 5 lbs 5 oz and the girl is at 3 lbs 13 oz. (I'm 33 wks 5 days). So she's still behind but she's gaining about 1 lb every two weeks and passing all her test so I think she's just going to be small. They said if she ever didn't score a perfect on the BPP or non stress test that they would probably go ahead and deliver. I'm hoping to get in at least another 2 weeks! Although, I meet with two pediatricians on the 18th and 19th. So delivery on the 20th would be nice  . Has everyone else picked out pediatricians?

Cynthia:  Oh no, girl you are not alone, trust me- your walking routine sounds a little worse than mine, but I do just about the same thing! To make matters worse- my boss just took a 6 week leave!!!! So my other co-worker will be treading water alone for about 2 weeks or more!! That's if I go full term, or beyond. At this point our nursery isn't even close to being finished! But I simply cannot stress about anything right now. I feel so grateful to have been able to make it this far through this pregnancy and to even be able to complain about pregnancy. :)

I have 3 friends going through fertility crap/hell right now. I so remember that d*mn 2 WW...... We are all truly (and some of us doubly) blessed!!!

XOXO-

Cynthia - I so feel your pain and walking routine. Work is so hard right now. I've been trying to save all my pto for maternity leave. I did have to call in to work today. I started having contractions again last night and they continued through the night. I had them really bad about 4 this morning. Sorry this is tmi, but in addition to the contractions, I was having diarreha and not sure I could keep anything down. I feel better now and the contractions have eased up. I'm just glad I go to doctor today. I'm expecting to get a date today for c-section.

Nicole - I wanted to let you know I've started hearing the clicking noise that was driving you nuts. It is a weird sound.
